Hi,
I'm starting my lsat studies back up and the study scheduler v2 says to take the June 2007 diagnostic however I plan on taking the new format and I already took that diagnostic when I was originally studying. Should I just start with PT 101 in the new/current format as my diagnostic OR should I skip it and start doing the lessons and save the new format PTs to do once a week. My plan is to start studying the week of July 22nd and study until October, then depending on where i am PT'ing by that point I plan on taking the exam near that time. Any thoughts or advice is much appreciated, thanks!
So when did you all start taking the practice tests? Did you first finish the lessons then proceed onto the practice tests?
Now that scores are in, congrats to everyone who took the February LSAT. Whether you blew it away or just plain blew it, you’ve worked hard and deserve mad respect.
I have just been watching the videos so far, but I was wondering when I should start doing the practice drills with the videos? Or is it better to watch all the videos before drilling?
Hi,
Seems like I read if you go into public service law, you can get your tuition forgiven.
Does anyone know of any scholarships for public service or legal aid work?
.
During Blind Review are we allowed to look at our notes/ other materials to help us with questions or should we not look at any external resources?

The biggest surprise was the small size of the desktop. Otherwise a great facility.
Proctors: Two were very cordial and professional, stuck with the LSAC script which was fine. Monitored students but not distracting.
Facilities: College building, vending machines in the lobby
What kind of room: classroom
How many in the room: 25 students in a room with 35 desks
Desks: individual desks, tiny desk top, not enough room for booklet without hanging off the edge, challenge for RC and LG to see. LR just folded booklet so one page visible.
Left-handed accommodation: a few lefty desks
Noise levels: quiet
Parking: ample campus parking close by
Time elapsed from arrival to test: no wasted time, very prompt
Irregularities or mishaps: none
Other comments: none
Would you take the test here again? Yes
Date[s] of Exam[s]: September 9 2018
I am writing the exam in July and September. Based on my diagnostics, I am pretty average in all sections and LG is not as intuitive for me so I am currently foolproofing LG by type (as in drilling all games in PTs 1-9, 10-19..20-29 in order*). I am on week 2 of this studying regimen. I plan to transition to foolproofing PT section by PT section and then doing timed sections after registering and reinforcing inferences for each game type. I am currently doing 2 PTs worth every day but finding this to be difficult since I am averaging 5 Games past target time and/or not at 100% accuracy.
*- I am drilling like this:10 Seq, 5 In-Out, 8 Grouping etc. some of the miscellaneous games turned out to be the other general games in disguise that I previously foolproof but others are just super old LSAT games that may show up on recent LSATs in some form (give or take 5-7 games that I am not doing for every 9 games so far).
What I'm doing:
LG by Type X-X
Attempt Game
1st attempt Under Time and 100% accurate: Do game a month from now
If not, do it again that day, and then at the end of the week
2nd attempt Under Time and 100% Accurate same day: do game at the end of the week
2nd attempt NOT Under Time and/or 100% Accurate same day: watch JY's video, do that game same day, then repeat that game on the weekend
Weekend Day 1: 1st Attempt Under Time and 100% accurate: Review game 2 weeks later
Weekend Day 1: 1st Attempt NOT Under Time and 100% accurate: Watch video and do game again, and do it again next day of weekend
Weekend Day 2: 1st Attempt Under Time and 100% accurate: Review game 1 week later
Weekend Day 2: 1st Attempt NOT Under Time and 100% accurate: Do Game 2X the following week
So based on this information...
How many games per day would make my review optimal (currently doing about 8 right now, but slowing down)?
Any suggestions and/or tips for full-time studying in general?
I am taking the July exam but aiming to be most prepared for the September exam. I have the most potential to improve on LG games so I am foolproofing these until the July exam with maybe some LR and RC practice beforehand.
Whoops sorry didn't look at the sticky,
disregard this post!
So I have identified a problem that I have no idea how to approach. In any given section, I will miss 4 questions. However, I've found that I always know the questions I'm going to miss in advance and that I typically end up overthinking problems that are not realistically complex (3s or 4s). How do I stop myself from second-guessing the complexity of the question and trying to outsmart the test writers? How do y'all convince yourselves that you are right on questions that seem like they are blatantly attempting to trick you, especially considering the time-constraints?
This might be an incredibly dumb question, but does LSAC automatically send new scores to schools you've already applied to? Specifically - I just got my November scores, but have already applied to a bunch of schools. I want to send my new scores, and was under the impression that they get sent automatically, but now I'm irrationally worried that I missed a step... Can someone confirm that they'll be sent automatically - or I guess let me know what steps I need to take?
***Update sorry! Figured out that it is automatic but now I can't delete this post!
I
never mind
Hi all! I just started my lsat journey and would love to be surrounded with like-minded peers and finding a study buddy in the philly area!
I'm taking the September 2024 test in-person, on paper, and was wondering if I was allowed to bring highlighters? I have been using Bailey's highlighting strategies for reading comp and wanted to know if I should be prepared to not be able to do that on the actual exam???
I was trying to send out transcripts and have received an error. Anyone else have the same issues?
Hi everyone,
I've been preparing for the LSAT for quite some time. Last year, I went through a significant amount of study material and took several prep tests. After completing the application process, I decided to reapply this year, which led me to continue my LSAT prep.
However, I'm facing a challenge. The new prep tests are compilations of sections from old prep tests, which makes it challenging to find fresh prep tests. Additionally, because I’ve done a lot of drilling both last year and this year, I’m running out of fresh tests, especially from 130 downward.
Has anyone else faced this issue? Any suggestions on how to approach this situation or find more fresh prep tests? Is it worth completing prep tests although segments from sections may have been drilled previously?
I'd appreciate any tips or resources that might help me keep my prep going strong.
Thanks in advance!
Hi everyone I'm looking for the 180watch or any other similar watch that has a button that resets it. Message me if anyone is selling or knows of a similar watch I could buy. Thank you all!
Hey guys, I just signed up for the November Virtual Course but can't seem to find a way to locate it on the site. Does anyone know where it is? I just paid for it :(
Hi there! Looking for a study partner in Upstate NY for Sept. 2014 LSAT.
Still new to studying for the LSAT, just started in April/May.
Proctors: Three per room. All were quiet and respectful. They announced 5 minute warnings and followed directions to a T.
Facilities: Well lit, clock in room, comfortable temperature.
What kind of room: ~50 person classroom
How many in the room: about 30
Desks: Small desks, only hold one sheet of paper. Each person had two desks--one for their booklet and one for extra pencils, ID, tissues, etc.
Noise levels: Quiet, aside from people dropping test booklets off of the small desks (happened about 10 times throughout)
Parking: Parking garage on campus; street parking is difficult
Time elapsed from arrival to test: about 40 minutes
Irregularities or mishaps: None
Would you take the test here again? Yes, but I would still have preferred to find a DC center with full-sized desks.
Date[s] of Exam[s]: Oct 2015
Hey All!
This may be a long shot, but if there is anyone in Kuala Lumpur studying for the LSAT and would like to join forces please let me know.
