Hi folks,

I've started to blind review with the practice tests, and I'm a bit confused on what PTs to blind review with. I've done the first 4 PTs, and they're going well, but I've heard that the later, more recent PTs are more representative of the question types and difficulty I could expect on test day. Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether to start at the very beginning of the tests, or to jump ahead and start PT'ing with the more recent tests? Thank you so much!

Hey All! I'm looking for a study partner to review concepts and go over PTs. I live in Long Island but would be willing to come into the city to meet up or we could talk via Skype. I'm scoring in the high 150's and am shooting for 165+. Taking the LSAT in June. Email me if interested vjgogia@gmail.com

Best,

Vijay

Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience- I just logged into my LSAC account to sign up for the April test, and my web browser informed me that there had been a data leak and I should change my password. However, when I tried to use the reset password feature, neither my email nor my username were recognized by the system, even though I am able to log in. What’s going on? I’m nervous to give personal info if it might be stolen.

A question about early decision - if I apply early decision to a law school and then for various factors I decide I am not going to go to law school at all (very complicated explanation for this but I may end up getting a very lucrative job and not go). What would this mean for me? It cant force me to go to the law school I am assuming.

I am seeing online "that your required to attend that particular school or not go to law school at all that year" from a blog on power score. But just curious if anyone has more insight

So I am stuck between what to choose on the various LSAT sections on the questions I don't get to. For example, Dave Killoran from PowerScore says to choose "D" 1-20 on LR when in doubt, and "E" on the last 5. JY says to choose "B" when in doubt on 1-20 and "E" on the last 5 for LR.

Note, JY uses data from PREPTEST 58 (Sept 2009 ) onwards, while Dave uses data from Nov 1991. Which one is more reliable?

Here are the sources for both opinions:

Hi all.

I need some advice with my study plan.

I have recently finished CC after 5 months of studying; I was only able to study 3 hours daily since I work full time.

Currently I manage to do the 1 or 2 PT(s) per week;

I understand that I would need to focus on Pting with more later version as nearing the actual Test date.

But I wonder if it makes much change(ie. starting from old Pts vs. skip old Pts, use it only for drilling and do newer Pts) at this stage because I presume that whether those PTs are old or new, they are testing the same fundamentals/principles.

Any suggestions?

I would appreciate any advice/comment.

“Some anthropologists argue that the human species could not have survived prehistoric times if the species had not evolved the ability to cope with diverse natural environments. However, there is considerable evidence that Australopithecus afarensis, a prehistoric species related to early humans, also thrived in a diverse array of environments, but became extinct. Hence, the anthropologists’ claim is false.“

Could someone please show me verbatim how to diagram the entire passage Via formal logic and cross reference the mismatched terms that the author used in order to draw the false inference. According to the question it is a mistaken reversal and I am very comfortable diagraming up until the term “however”, after that I got so confused as to what the author was trying to translate.

Now if I’m not mistaken Jy mentioned that because the the author concluded that “the anthropologist Claims were false

ANTHRO CLAIM

“If survive ———-> Cope”

AUTHOR CONCLUSION

“Not survival ——-> Not Cope”

Are those the 2 conditional statements that conflict, that make this entire passage a mistaken reversal ?

Also please keep in mind I kind of dis regarded the premise right above the conclusion because the verbiage is confusing as it doesn’t appear to be a condition statement that I can diagram

Hello!

I took the July 2019 LSAT and got a decent score, but have decided to retake this fall to try to boost my score in order to potentially get scholarship money. I really liked using 7Sage the first time studying, but I almost completely went through the lessons when I did it the first time so I'm wondering if it will be as effective the second. I am a year removed from studying and didn't go through a ton of the PTs so I'm wondering if there is anyone who has used 7Sage for two different tests (maybe with some time removed) and what they thought of it!

Thanks!

hello all! has anyone had the chance to study CC V1 and CC V2 and recommend one more than other? I have taken the LSAT before but I’m studying to take it again so since I am familiar with the test, I was leaning towards V2 to refresh my mind but also want the most detailed. Any suggestions?

Hi!

I am having some trouble at the start of PT to get my head into the test.

Is there any tactics you guys use to get you started? I do warm up with 15q of LR and 2 games.

I feel like its my anxiety mostly that kinda eats me up at the beginning of the test.

Hi all, looking for some advice. I hit a wall with LG (Grouping) after nearly two months, I am now focusing on LR instead. Should I formulate a study plan that alternates between two sections every other day or should I solely focus on LR for right now? Any advice on how to study would be extremely helpful.

I recently completed the core curriculum and decided to take PT 36 completely untimed. I scored a 172, and although I know this is not indicative how I will perform under actual testing conditions, does anyone have tips on how to improve timing? I am aiming to hit the 170+ range timed by the end of August (not sure if this is reasonable).

If anyone just starting the Core Curriculum and wants a study partner to go over it together, please let me know. I am only looking for serious individuals, thank you.

Date Taken: Dec. 2nd, 2017

Proctors: Really great. Timing was perfect. I had a watch that I started as soon as the proctor started and they were correct on timing down to the second. It's mostly law students (we had four in our room) with an administrator over-seeing all four rooms.

Facilities: FSU College of Law.

What kind of room: Large, lecture-style classroom. They had four rooms, broken down by last name. Very well organized and easy to find.

How many in the room: 50ish

Desks: Those long, connected desks. Plenty of room. I was spread out and never ran into the girl beside me. They put one seat between each test.

Left-handed accommodation: Maybe? I'm a lefty and was placed in the last seat on the left hand side (so no risk of me hitting another student) but that might have just been a coincidence. It really wasn't needed.

Noise levels: Very quiet. I was a little concerned about the break, but it seems like all the rooms got out at right at the same time.

Parking: Horrible. It was game day. The civic center and a parking garage were open--for $10, but I didn't have my wallet. They didn't reserve any parking for test takers. So I had to park on street parking a good two/three blocks away and run. Get there with PLENTY of time. Parking was the most stressful part of the test for me; I was the last one in the room because it took so long to find parking

Time elapsed from arrival to test: Checked in was closed at 8:30 (I think that I checked in at 8:29 haha). With instructions and everything I think we started around 9:15. Very quick.

Irregularities or mishaps: 0. They knew what they were doing and were very professional.

Other comments: There was a clock at the front of the room, but it happened to not be visible from where I sat. There was also one at the back. They didn't "reset" the clocks, so be prepared to bring your own watch if you need to check the time remaining. Temperature was fine, no issues there. The lines for the bathroom (specifically girls) was horrendous because they started out by making the ~125 girls use only the three-stall bathroom on the lower level. And all the rooms took break at the same time. The head proctor did decide it was okay for us girls to go upstairs to the 2nd floor bathroom, which alleviated the line a little bit. I'm just glad I was one of the first up there otherwise I wouldn't have been able to eat my snack.

Would you take the test here again? Yup! Great testing environment. Next time I would get there quite a bit earlier however due to parking.

Hi All,

I am looking through my 7sage syllabus and wanted to see if anyone had advice on how they modified their course/syllabus to learn information as well as do successful drills? (Successful relating to the fact you understood the content and implementation of the coursework.)

I appreciate any potential advice, I plan to take the test August of 2022.

Thank you!

More snow here on the East Coast, all schools are shut down in NY & NJ... another storm. Another push back. If you're like me pending to hear from some schools in these areas, don't be surprised if we get a delayed response yet again :(

Am still studying for the December re-sit and plodding through the materials. But I want to drop in a quick line to say Thank You JY and team!! you guys are brilliant!! I wish I had bought the paid course for my June LSAT prep. Unfortunately, I had connectivity issues at my apartment and chose against buying a course purely for that reason which I sincerely regret now coz it feels like a lot of wasted effort. The powerscore bibles were my companions and were a great introduction but nowhere close to how good the 7sage curriculum is!!! not even close!!

loving the curriculum, loving the presentation, enthused by the rigour of the content and the connected community....loving it all as a whole.....feel way more confident now....i used to take the PT's and have this horrible feeling of never knowing for sure how I did....was never very sure of myself....

simple concepts like validity were left vague in the powerscore bibles leaving one craving for clarity.....

miles to go before i sleep.....but can't help feeling confident from within and more sure footed....perhaps ignorance is bliss and maybe it's because I still have a lot of material to cover....

investment in the course feels worth every penny....

love u guys and a BIG THANK U!!
