I've seen so many people discussing this but can anyone explain what this to me? From my understand I should keep my phone with me and then they will let you turn it off and put it across the room?

On both my last two PT's, I misread or altogether missed a rule during LG that cost me a lot of time before I realized my mistake. I am really worried about this happening to me during the real test. It happens to me very frequently and can make an easy game feel completely mystifying. Does anyone have any strategies for how to avoid doing this? I know the obvious answer is to slow down, but I feel the need to move fast since I am very slow when it comes to LG. I usually never get to the fourth game in time.
Hi! I've finished the LG curriculum and am currently redoing the problem sets I got wrong. One of the things I struggle with is figuring out when to let the questions drive the inferences. I only do this once I've spent 5-10 minutes trying to figure things out and moving to the questions in defeat. Is there a way to build this intuition?
Thanks!
Can anyone explain exactly why D is the answer. I kind of get it, but just need a brief reason why it is most definitely the answer as opposed to any of the others. Like what makes it stand out the most?
the LRs in the 80s are killing me.
anyone who has taken the previous flex tests, was the LR as difficult as the 80s?
I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember seeing something about not being able to move the cursor during an exam and only being able to use arrow keys. Is that correct? I hope not as I like to move my cursor throughout a stimulus or passage. Thank you to anyone who answers!
I chose C for this one because I wasn't sure about any of them. Can someone explain why the answer is D?
I was trying to contrapose it back but because the stimulus has an "or" statement that confused me when I was diagramming it.
The reason why I didn't choose D is that even though the bookstore does not have exclusive access to a specialized market, I thought that since it could cater to mass tastes and be still be profitable.
What do you think?? What's the best way to answer this question??
Happy New Years to everyone! I realize that I haven't created a discussion post for awhile and rather than hold a webinar ( as I know alot of people are very busy with the holidays just winding up) I decided to create a Reading Comprehension post focusing on one aspect of Reading Comp, which people can use at their own pace/time.
My LSAT journey has been a long one but I have found that my biggest improvement in RC came as a result of three major things:
Changing how I read the passages/Approach to the section
Changing how I reviewed, I found reviewing consistently with a small group to be most beneficial for me, as well as establishing a wrong answer journal and a better BR template
And finally, the topic of this discussion post, which is changing how I approach the questions.
Rather than just provide you blanket advice, I took a RC section (PT 58) and wrote out a Google Doc which, while it does provide you general tips, shows you how to confidently and efficiently tackle each question and tries to put you in the mindset of what a high scorer is thinking as they approach the questions rather than just tell you why answer choice B is right and answer choice E is wrong.
For maximum benefit I recommend taking PT 58 as a prep test first, or at least the RC section. After you have completed the section BR your usual way. Then, take a look at the Google Doc to compare your approach. For reference, on this particular RC section I scored -1 timed and -0 on BR. This is my "average" RC score ( which can range from -0 to -4) depending on how the section balances out in difficulty in comparison to the other sections.

Hello everyone,
I hope everyone is on track on their studies.
I am a Canadian from Toronto, Ontario and so far I have not yet received an email from LSAC to sign up for the proctor u.
Anyone else facing this issue in Canada or anyone in general?
So for me, the mic and camera are fine but the issue is that apparently my computer settings can't be read because it can't connect to the ProctorU system servers and I don't have the ProctorU Extension version. When I went to download it, the sheer level of invasiveness and lack of privacy warning I got before downloading it was extremely concerning. I want to make sure my set up works well before the test itself so I can resolve any issues that may appear, but the privacy issue above, along with what other students were saying in the reviews about not being able to take their exams with the auto proctor makes me wonder if there is possibly any way to avoid having to download that extension? Anyone facing a similar dilemma or have suggestions??
I just registered for my time slot for the January test but have yet received my writing sample. Has anyone else received their writing sample already?
im only seeing 19th est :( is anyone else seeing the 18th?
The stimulus talks about the number of visits per representative decreasing from 640 to 501, but does that mean the number of visits per pharmacist decreased as well? Is it possible the number of visits per pharmacist from these representatives possibly remained the same or even increased depending on the number of representatives working for these manufacturers? Can the number of visits per representative be equated to the number of visits per pharmacist?

Can you use the negation rule (as we do in NA) in SA?
Some critics say it's unfair that so many great works of art are in huge city museums, since those people already have access to lots of art.
But this is unwarranted because there are so few masterpieces that distributing them more widely is impractical.
Plus, if a masterpiece is to be fully appreciated, it must be seen along other works that provide context for it.
I chose B here because I thought that people would benefit most from getting a full appreciation of the art, and that distributing them more widely would diminish that appreciation for more people.
I mostly understand why D is right, but does the last sentence of the stimulus play any role in answer choice D??
Also can anyone explain why my thinking for B was wrong? Thanks!
Hi everyone! I'm taking the Jan flex on the 15th and would love some last-minute study tips.
I've noticed a strange pattern where all my PTs prior to 70, I'm getting 171+. Unfortunately I burned thru PTs 71-81 early in my studying, so I don't have those as a frame of reference-- But any PTs I'm taking past 82 I'm consistently stumbling on questions across sections. (Most recent observations is I'm hitting major issues in LR and LG, getting -6 on each when I usually get -2 to -3.)
Has anyone else had similar issues, and any broader ideas on resolving (besides just drilling specific issues I overlooked on a question-to-question basis)?

When its referred in RC to a certain part of the passage should you always return to it and read the line they indicate?

In this passage, I picked D because I interpreted Rito using the phrase "serious underestimates" as the severity of the underestimate of the raw numbers, while Hiro uses “surely underestimate” as an acceptance that there is an underestimate but not necessarily accepting of the severity of it.
When I reviewed JY's reasoning, he said that they both thought it was serious, which I can't really seem to understand how it can be interpreted as such.
Can someone help me find out where in my thought process I went wrong? My second choice was the correct answer, and I should have focused on the conclusions in this one, but I need help seeing how both thought it was a serious underestimate. Thanks!

Why Jan LSAT Flex is on19th and 20 in KST time? Wasn't it supposed to be 16th and 17th? Moreover, there was not any announcement they were going to change the dates? I'm a little confused tho.. so I wonder is it all on19-20th for you guys?

Hello everyone,
This thread so everyone can post their problems and solutions to equipment testing here.
For Chrome:
I ran the test, my internet passed and my system checked out as well. However, my mic and webcam were not checked green. Even though I can see my web cam was working.
What was the issue?
Apparently it couldn't measure the width or height of the camera, for the mic, it didn't even show what the issue was.
Did everything as described and still was not working.
For FireFox:
I installed firefox ran the test everything checked out. But, there was 1 issue.
The system check sign did not turn green.
Apparently, friefox has a setting where it disables websites from identifying your system info. Firefox calls this "fingeprinting".
Here is the link if you want to know more about fingerprinting and how to disable it:
Anyways
So my final result is that my, mic, webcam, internet and system, all checkout. Albeit, in different browsers.
If anyone figures the issue with Chrome, please post it. It will help the community greatly. f
Let's use this thread to help each other out and lower the stress levels.
Best of luck to everyone with the test.
So I'm a bit confused on this whole situation and was wondering if others were experiencing the same thing. This is my first LSAT Flex so I didn't receive on official email from LSAC on creating a ProctorU account or scheduling the time but I was wondering how to create an account anyway to test my equipment on the ProctorU site. I read from reddit that you could create an account with LSAC acer (I'm not sure if I spelled that correctly) so I tried it and it worked. Then I saw from the discussions that were going on here that a few people had already scheduled a time slot with their ProctorU account so I tried it on my account and was able to schedule for 6:00 pm KST on the 19th. I'm not totally sure if this is official since I didn't follow the procedures that LSAC would send me by email. I'm going to check the email and make sure that I really did get the time scheduled but I was just wondering if anyone experienced the same thing.
Hello - was anyone able to sign up for a time on the 18th (ET timezone)? I only saw availability on 16th, 17th and 19th.
I did a system check on ProctorU and my only 'failed' result was this: "RAM usage:
Maximum RAM usage is 90%. Your current RAM usage is 97%." I don't understand the jargon used to explain why this is aspect of the system test failed. Has anyone else experienced this? And, will this impact me on 'game-day'?
Thanks a ton,
