Just finished the November lsat flex.

I got LR-RC-LG. LR was very easy and it’s probably like something in the 60s. RC was just brutal, and I feel it’s even harder than the October’s RC. LG was always my best section (average about -0 or -1), but this time I just feel really bad. I don’t know if it’s because LG was the lsat section or what, but I just could not make any useful inferences at all.

I got 161 in the October test and I’m wondering if I should cancel this test or not.

should I just use the 161 to apply my safe schools and retake in January?

I just thought of this today and wanted to know if it would be an issue, the place I have been practicing for the LSAT in and where I plan to take it from is an upstairs room that doubles as a storage place for all my parents useless things that they don't want to throw out but do not need currently. Examples are scrap books, non perishable food, suitcases, pictures and some more things like that. The room is big and in the center I have my big desk I have been working at, nothing around me is of any academic value but will I be required to move things out of the room?

So I'm on the MSS lessons, and I didn't really do the drilling questions timed, i just did them and then went back and BR-ed them. Should I start doing the drills timed or is it better to take my time with them and save the "timed" part for the PTs?

I’m looking for a study buddy who’s really solid with RC — I used to average max -3 on RC with older tests but am now doing worse than before — now I sometimes get -7. I am currently averaging anywhere from 168-173. If anyone would benefit from explaining how they arrive at certain answers/compare PTs — DM me! Would love to meet via Zoom couple of times throughout the week until the Nov flex.

I am just in my week 2 of the cc and its super frustrating to basically BR every single example video only to get it wrong. So instead of focusing on the negative, I am trying to stay positive and understand that I am just starting out and there is more room for improvement. Does anyone have any uplifting stories that basically parallel being bad at the cc in the beginning but crushing it on the test date?

I need help with trying to answer the questions that ask something along the lines of "Which of following could substitute the condition (insert rule here)"? I don't know how to approach these at all.

I am trying to understand how to tackle reading comprehension blind review and practice drills for radical improvement. I do understand how the memory method is supposed to work as a process but I need to prioritize or do something. I find myself alternating with speed reading and not fully connecting referential phrasing dots to meet the 3 (mostly ends up being 4 1/2 minted still) then getting a poor understanding of the passage overall. Or reading for clarity as J.Y. does in explanation videos, trying to mimic real-time imagination strategies , then killing more time. Both resulting in about 10 to 13 minutes per passage. Which one do I prioritize? Should I focus on better reading then time will automatically fall in line with confidence? Or am I missing the point altogether? #help Pleaseee. Thank you in advance.

Does anyone have any tips on studying LR? It’s the section I struggle the most on and I’m not sure if I’m studying right or what but I haven’t seen much improvement in weeks. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Im drilling between preptests and I have been "drilling" but instead of doing new questions i focus on all the question types I have done in my previous preptests. Has anyone else done this before? Is it effective? or should I focus on material I havent seen before from earlier preptests? or both

Hi everyone :). I would really appreciate some advice on the LR section of the LSAT. I have studied the LR section of the exam through 7 sage+ LSAT trainer. I have recently done around 5 sections untimed sections from multiple tests. I have been scoring around 15-16/25-26. I would really like to increase that score. I am wiring the exam in October and I want to get around 21-22 questions right under timed conditions. I was planning to keep doing full sections after sections till my score increases, and then time myself. I am also making sure that I read the explanation for why I am getting the questions wrong. I wanted some advice. Should I continue to do individual sections ? Or should I review the LR curriculum again ?

So I finally started getting to all four a couple of weeks ago, which was really exciting for me (I'll do a write up on the 7sage forum posts that made that possible for me after Sat). What I've noticed in this last week however is, that I'm not getting to the last two or so questions (sometimes). I'm wondering if that's because of my policy of saving the comparative passage for last? There's no particular reason for it, it was something a fellow 7 sager mentioned he did because they gave him trouble and so I tried it out (though I haven't noticed the same issue in my takes). Sometimes I do it last because the comparative has fewer questions than the remaining passage (less point potential), but sometimes I just do it automatically rather than waste time thinking about it mid test, and I've almost been too afraid of losing the progress I've made to try the other way (I know, it's not something I should be afraid of and yet). Problem is, sometimes I get to the last passage with not much more than 5 min left. Maybe 6.5 or so. So I wanted to ask what you all thought. If I did the comparative passage earlier, do you think I would be able to get to more questions?

Hey everyone, I was wondering how often the LSAT does weird misc games, like the subway line one on prep test 18. I'm trying to budget the remaining time I have before the August LSAT and I want to know how much priority I should give them. Are they common on the newer LSATS?

Hi all,

For LR, does anyone have any tips on how to flag questions to go back to during time? I usually finish my first sweep of the questions w/ 10 to 12 minutes on the clock, flagging questions along the way. However, when I finish BR, there's always a few questions that I got wrong and didn't go back to (either in time or in BR). It seems like a case of not knowing what I don't know. I also worry that I'm wasting time on some of the questions that I flag but ultimately got right on my first pass through.

As I am starting my Reading Comprehension Curriculum, I would like to see if you guys have any tips or have any advice ASIDE from what JY explains at the beginning of the section. Feel like it could be super beneficial to hear from someone who has made it through this section and explain what worked best for them.

Is there a summary of all of the different question types for LR that briefly explains the strategy for handling each of them? I am not opposed to putting one together myself, but if there is already one available, well then that saves me some time!! Thank you.

Does anyone know if you are retaking the Aug lsat on the 26th if your scores would be released at the same time as everyone else or will they be later?

I am having trouble deciphering between answer choices especially determining if an answer choice is too strong or too weak, Any suggestions on how I can improve?

Hey 7sage hive mind! I just finished the Strengthening Section of the CC and I struggled more than I have with any of the other question types thus far. For a lot of people it seems like after going through weakening, strengthening feels easy. I'm having the opposite issue... my entire weakening section went really well, but once I got into middle difficulty level, to harder questions on strengthening I feel like my accuracy plummeted. I'm hesitant to move on in the CC until I really understand this question type. Does any one have any thoughts as to why someone could excel with weakening but struggle with strengthening? I even tried negating answer choices to try and weaken the argument but I feel like it doesn't work for every question.

Hello! I’m sitting for the November LSAT and currently working to finish Fool Proofing LGs from PTs 1-35.

Would it be the best use of my time to continue on this trajectory (mixed in with full PTs, of course) or would it be more astute to FP the LGs from the later PTs (50s-80s) that I am working on?

I've been really trying to study LG for the Jan LSAT. The problem I'm having is that I understand the rules but I diagram the rules/inferences different then JY, thus I get questions wrong or questions take me forever to do. For example on Preptest 5 Game, I wrote the classes down and distributed the grades. While JY in his video did the opposite. If I use JY's diagram, every question goes by extremely fast. How can I get better at diagramming games that I am seeing for the very first time?
