I answered C for this question and cannot understand why C is wrong. It seems to me like it parallels the method of reasoning and the wording very closely. Can anyone help?
Also, it would be great to only have questions with access to a correction when drilling, it's very frustrating to not know why we got certain questiosn wrong...

Prep Test A Section 1 Question 21
I was stuck between answer choices C and E for this question but am having a hard time fully understanding why C is the correct answer. Would appreciate an explanation! #help #feedback

Curious what people think about this question. The second rationale is essentially that a punishment should fit the severity of the crime. Applied to the answer choices, we are to understand that we are not looking for an exact match, but rather a consistent parallel form of reasoning.
So, rationale: punishment = severity of crime.
A: Correctness = fairness
B: Correctness = what society deems correct
C: Correctness = consequences + inherent fairness
D: Correctness = consequences + intuitive rightness
E: Correctness = consequences
Curious on why A is the best answer. Fairness? Is this because attaching fairness to the correctness of an action is consistent with determining the severity of a punishment on the severity of the crime? There's no clear linkage.
Hello all! Who else is taking the JAN2024LSAT? How we feelin?
Hi. Its been over a year since I first went through the LR part of the 7Sage Curriculum and I have taken time away from studying in the interim. I am going to take the LSAT again to try to up my score, as I've taken a few PTs recently and scored 2-5 points higher than I used to score, consistently - trying to get every last scholarship dollar available.
I've spent most of my time since resuming studying working on LGs, but recently as I've started to work on grouping and in/out LGs, I've realized that I need some help going back over translating words into logic language, especially when dealing with negations, negative, or double negatives. Could someone point me to where in the 7Sage Curiculum I could get a quick crash course on logic translations for "or", "not both", and just basic logic translations to get me back on track as quickly as possible. I'm hoping to get back on track rather quickly and knock this (hopefully) final attempt of the LSAT out of the park.
Just when I thought I was out for the logic games, J.Y pulled me back in! his explanations are so addictive. Having a masters in pure mathematics is even worst because I like this stuff.
So the stimulus presents a paradox where sales (as measured by the value of the clothes sold) has increased one year an then Fabrico closed a store the very next year due to low demand. How can sales be up but demand fall sharply the next year? C presents a situation in which a huge increase in the price of raw materials spikes and the clothing prices spike too. (for instance, a $5 t shirt is now being sold for $15. Maybe Fabrico sold 2 t shirts and now people are only buying 1 but because the success is being measured by the value of the clothing, 1987 was a good year). It then follows that it would be unsustainable for customers to keep buying now-expensive clothes in 1988 and Fabrico would close a factory.
Hellooo,
I guess I wanted to send a discussion to see if this would be a good idea for not.
So background info, I have already completed all my applications back in September because I wanted to only focus on my LSAT and not worry about my applications. So all my schools are simply just waiting for my LSAT score to begin looking into my applications. I’m in a position where I’m only working on my mental psyche bc test anxiety is real for me. Based on all my Pts I’m scoring between 153-160 but I really want to score above 160 to be competitive applicant due to my non competitive GPA. I have confidence in all my other applicant materials but I know there’s importance to the numbers (GPA/LSAT). I decided to also sign up for the January LSAT for a backup if i’m not statified with the score I receive. But i’m debating on either just leaving whatever score on my Nov I get and see what schools decide i’m good enough even with my average scores or canceling it/ leaving it and then working on my January test and if schools decide to make a decision prior to my new test score or wait for it.
If i decide to want to wait for my January score, even though I’ve already done applications, how does that work? Will schools hold back and wait? or will they make a decision and then determine if waiting for a January score is worth it?
I’m sure reaching out to my schools i’ve applied to and seeing what’s the best way to move forward is a good option but I have a tendency to think ahead to prevent a mental break down on Nov 29th lol
Any advice helps!
Hi there,
I have noticed that the questions I get wrong on RC are always the inference based ones. Anyone have any advice on how to improve on this particular question type?
Thanks in advance!
im taking the exam in person and when i went on lawhub and clicked lsat it said information on scheulding with a proctor has been sent to you, i just wanted to know if you guys see that also or i missed out on an email or something
Hi, 7Sage, it's been a wonderful time having used your service, but I want to know what your opinion of adding written out answers to old LR questions is. I have been drilling the old questions, but I cannot help but notice that among the PTs before 16-17, the LR explanations are scant, with exceptions of video explanations. However, the problem with posting videos is that it just takes too much time to review the question: you have to find the explanation of the answer choice that you were curious about. It would be much better if videos plus written out answers are added. Thanks always, 7Sage!
Is it recommended to try to redo the LR questions we got wrong a few weeks after so they are not fresh in our mind?
Hi everyone. I have noticed significant improvement over the course of my studies with LG due to foolproofing, especially with my initial set ups, nailing inferences as well as my confidence!
However, I am still making stupid mistakes here and there on the actual questions, especially during timed practice.
Will more foolproofing help out or is that more relevant for finding inferences?
I assume I will get more accurate consistently by drilling, which I am currently doing, but any advice would be helpful!
Hey everyone I am scoring at 150, but I want to get a 165 does anyone have any good suggestions for improving reading comprehension I usually get 12-14 correct on these sections.
The correct choice was B, I selected D. I found this statement really difficult to understand and even my BR took a while to do so if anyone can offer helpful tips on how they approached this question that would be greatly appreciated.
My reason for selecting the answer choice I did was because I made an assumption in the archaeologist's argument, I also confused myself with the grammar inside the stimulus.
This is how I am now understanding the question:
Treasure Hunter: Because of the rule, treasure hunters are entitled to what they retrieve since they are risking their lives. Since the rule applies, the ship is in peril. This condition must be met for the rule to apply.
Archeologist: They are not entitled to what they retrieve, the shipwrecks are stablized, the only danger they are exposed to is that of previous archaeologists and therefore are not in peril (implicitly stated). They are not in peril because for the rule to be met this condition must also be met, in this case it is not.
What they disagree about is whether or not the ship is in peril (B)
TH says this rule can be applied to a sunken ship. Implicitly saying that it is still in peril
A says nothing about the rule and only speaks about whether the treasure hunters are actually entitled to the artifacts or not. But since they are not entitled to the artifacts, the ship is not in peril.
(D) is incorrect because:
TH: agrees with the statement by saying even though they have sunk, treasure hunters are still entitled to what they discover because they risk their lives
A: Though they still risk their lives, they are only risking their lives because of other treasure hunters, not because the ship is in peril. But they make no mention about whether maritime law can be applied
I just finished the principle reasoning section, and I'm wondering if I should go back and redo the lawgic lessons. I still find myself really struggling with the forms (and wanting to use them when I attempt to answer the questions). Has anyone had the same problem? Or has anyone gone back and redone the lessons?
BTW I plan to take the LSAT for the first time in April
I am having some self doubt and would love to hear thoughts!
I have been studying for the LSAT since late September now, and have improved my score from a 152 -> 162 so far. I am hoping that if I keep up my pace I can get to a 168, but truly a 162 isn't bad either.
I am having doubt about if I timed taking the LSAT incorrectly. It's my first go-round, with little guidance on applications and I'm not applying to a t-15 school. Is January LSAT going to be too late to send in my scores with my apps? Should I wait to apply until after my LSAT? It will be the first I have taken.
I really want to apply this cycle, I am just now facing that doubt that I'm sure many do as the time creeps closer and you're doing something that no one near you has done.
Any advice? Tips? Relatability?
Thank you
Re-posting this in a more organized manner so everything is in one place. Here is some context.
Last attempt for this cycle.
150 -> 155 -> 159.
I need a 161 at least to be at the median for my dream school. 2 more points.
Of course most of us feel less pressure / whole different dynamic practice test vs. real thing, but I was scoring 163 - 167 for the last 10 tests I took prior to the October LSAT. Not sure if my brain freezes or what. My average was 164 so I was expecting a 160 at least.
Please help, how can I get these two extra points? What would you do in my shoes?I guess Im asking if i retake all the ones i took and start from scratch 7sage? or focus more on review? obviously with the performance anxiety of it being real doesnt help me but instead is a deterrent, i need this to feel as "fake" and relaxed and possible. what do i do study method wise? Im willing to put in the work next month but dont know what to do study method wise.
Any help or insight would be much appreciated. thank you in advance
hi, guys!
if possible, i'm looking for some advice - thank you so much in advance :) i have taken the LSAT four times and canceled one of my scores last october due to extenuating circumstances.
my fourth score, the nov. 2023 LSAT, is much lower (:/) than my highest score and i'm worried would put me in a disadvantageous position considering that i'm applying this application cycle, which i was planning to in the next couple of days but hadn't expected this. considering that i already have one score cancellation on my record, do you think that also cancelling my nov. 2023 LSAT score would be harmful to my application?
any and all thoughts are appreciated!!!

Thank you SO much!!
I really need to solve this game and having a difficult time so would like the explanation.
I just took the November lsat and got a 162. My gpa is around a 3.88 but I think it might end up being higher when CAS adds in my scores from other schools. I really wanted to go to Fordham Law but I don't think I'll be able to get in with this score. I know I could do better because I was scoring between 163-169 on practice tests. Should I cancel my current score and take the January test? getting scholarships is really important to me because I am paying for law school all on my own. I am nervous all the money will be gone if I wait that long.
