I took way too much time time on this, but I think part of it was trying to come up with symbols to represent these concepts. Initially, I tried D9-5 > 15cpm, and D/9-5>10cpm, but that took too long and was too complicated. I could stand to improve by recognizing when to kick a concept into the domain and by using much more simple symbols. I eventually redid my symbols and came up with A > 15, and /A > 10 to come up with the right answer.
Just watched the vid and JY said the exact same thing lmao
I missed the part about 8 years and thought it was irrelevant in answer choice E. SMH!
The last thing I expected to see what that bear!
Imagine being a moose, thinking you're safe, looking up and seeing a wolf parachuting down towards you and your moose family
For me, D was so tempting, but I chose C. I was shocked to find out this was a level 1 question 😭
Immediately, my mind went to cancer and cancer treatments. Some people die during cancer treatment. This helped me grasp the idea of iatrogenic "disease".
Fuck cancer.
I'm actually able to start analyzing more and more stimuli as I read each one. This feels like progress! Going to have to revisit MSS, WSE, and SA questions with this knowledge.
I read this one way too fast and glanced over the response to the rhetorical question.
Weakening question weaken my soul
I always have a hard time just reading these kinds of RRE questions. There's just so many words, and my brain sometimes has a hard time packing away the details to figure our what I'm trying to do here. I got this right, but I would probably skip this and come back later on test day bc it took me so long to get read.
Aaaaaand there I go again with the faceplant. I think I just tried focusing in on the wrong part of the argument.
HECK YEAH! Even if it's a level 3 question, I actually followed the logic pretty well on this one and was able to anticipate the NA. I was only 2 seconds over target time
Getting a question right when JY says it's a tough questions makes me feel a little better in my progression. NA have always been a challenge for me.
I'm upset that I got this one wrong, but I'm also glad. I think this is going to help me reinforce the idea that a belief is not the same thing as a fact. The only problem now is that my last sentence was my belief, and I need to turn it into a fact 😅
"look for the lesson on In/Out Games"
RIP in peace to logic games. You were fun, but good riddance.
I must be a special kind of stupid because I eliminated E for the sole purpose of not being asked to care about what Colette thought or what her purpose in writing was. Through POE, I eventually got to B.
I hated NA questions 4 years ago and I still hate them today 🥲
Thinking about it from a Phenomenon-Hypothesis structure, it makes sense that we would have to rule out the other possibility. I just wasn't able to see initially how A did so.
Also, I like how in Kevin's explanation we start out unaliving all babies instead of something like sending them to live with their auntie and uncle in Bel-Air.
Very happy to hear that SA questions don't get harder than this! Just need to work on timing.
If Aliens were more intelligent than us (as opposed to just as intelligent as us), they would probably want us to believe that they don't exist.
Heck yeah! I'm actually getting some level 4 questions right. Granted, I'm over the target time 🥲
After watching the first two passage video lesson sets, I tried this third passage in the drill section as practice. I wound up taking about 10min total and got 4/5 right (missed Q19). I think it's in part that my summaries weren't good enough. I'm upset with myself in part because of timing, but more at the fact that, in retrospect, Q19 looks so obvious.
I finally got a level 4 PSA question right! It took me 11:41 but I still did it.
For me, I think your low res summaries helped me get these three questions right. Creating my own low res summaries is definitely something I'm going to need to work on.
Finally got one of these rule apps right. It took me 4:14 to finish only for me to find out it was labeled easiest.
