Are we expected not to contrapose in these questions? Cause when I try to contropose it is so difficult to do so and it feels very awkward.

My most imp wrong answer type

- Predictions (of the future) and Making Assumptions
Got confused the first time i did this question but the second time i did the translations more neatly and with the full sentences instead of using abbreviations, just for practicing the foundations. I first translated everything as it is and then made contrapositive for each translation and placed them side by side. Once i had all the translations and contrapositives in front of me, I made a chain for whatever could be connected and came up with one huge chained translation. Looking at this translation, every answer expect D goes in the opposite direction of the arrow.
I think its better to take time and write clear translations at least when you are just starting to do these type of questions. When you get more used to it, you can start using short abbreviations to save time
I translated D: No independently owned pet store in West Calverton sells tropical fish but not exotic birds.
TO
there are no independent stores that sell tropical fish without also selling exotic birds
So confused about just translating this in English

#feedback : Same question, I saw in a later chapter where many is converted to some with a bi-directional arrow but it doesn’t explicitly mention if we can do that for all many to some conversions
Translation: Cited late -> 5 + mins
Contrapositive: > 5 mins -> / Late
For Kumar, it says he arrived 17 mins late, which translates to,
(No sufficient given) -> 17+ mins late
This doesn't have any sufficient condition when compared to the next example below,
For Elias, it says he has been "properly cited late"
Cited late -> 5+ mins late
Since Elias has been "properly cited late", it triggers the sufficient after which the necessary automatically follows vs for Kumar, it doesn't trigger the sufficient as we don't know if he was marked late by the school. We only know he was late, not the consequence of him being late. For Kumar, We also can't use the contrapositive of the original translation either,
Contrapostive: > 5 mins -> / Late
But we can use this contrapositive for Melisa who "arrived >5 mins late" triggering the sufficient condition of the contrapositive.
Therefore, Kumar becomes the odd one out and we can't make a valid inference for him out of the original translation.
