okay guys this is just getting ridonculous this question is insane
well jk i wrote something and the realized i was wrong lol
fuck this question ???
there’s room for us all apparently 😪 we got this babes
When I struggle with these questions, most of the time it's because I haven't correctly identified the conclusion. Or, I HAVE correctly identified the conclusion, but then my non-7sage brain is like i dont care if that's the conclusion, im going with E. But then when I get my shit together on BR, I end up w the right AC
Why would it be wrong to graph it like
Anarchist novel and does more harm than good → permissible to ban
and
Subversive outlook and Wholesale Violence and Harms → permissible to ban
I just don't understand why we have SO and WV branch off when it seems like they should be sticking together especially if we are saying that it's permissible to ban them? That's why the AC's were confusing me, because other than D, they only had either 1, at most 2, out of 3 characteristics to ban when I graphed it that way. I know that D has the two or more characteristics thing but ugh it just doesn't make sense. #help
CONGRATS ICON!
I know what "disseminate" means separately, but then LSAC uses words like it ripped a thesaurus from it's private cavities and is trying to get into Yale and then suddenly, I am illiterate .
Think about it in the way of like what would B actually do for the argument? If you're a homeowner (i wish) and the city keeps knocking on your door like "pleasepleaseplease change ur bulbs" and you're like...okay why? And then they tell you everything in the stim and the other choices, PLUS B. So they're like, dude you'll love these new bulbs. It costs less to burn them (a), yes it costs more than normal bulbs to buy up front but not by THAT much (c), your super cool, smart neighbor thinks they're dope (d), and they last longer than your normal bulbs (e). And then you're like, you know what, I'm almost sold. And then the salesman goes, "and here's the best part...the Lowe's down the street is about to make hella money from this" (b). You'd be like ???? What does this have to do w me and my bulbs ???? And that's why it helps the least.
I literally sat on the right answer for so long cause I was like...mmm this makes too much sense to me rn.
I got this question correct but I spent longer on it than I wanted to. I think it's because I had a hard time figuring out what the author's conclusion actually was. I couldn't figure out if the conclusion was that "the asteroid wouldn't have a worldwide effect" or "the asteroid didn't kill all the dinos". I see now that the worldwide effect is a part of the assumption there but it took longer to realize that for me. I ended up picking E because it was the one that made the most sense.
i feel like a big stupid idiot. that's all, thank you.
I'm so annoyed I really was torn between both B and D
4/5! Technically it was 3/5 because I forgot to answer one but I got it back on blind review lol. I just read too fast on one of them. I'm forcing myself to reply here so I can force pride in myself.
Pat-Gate 2024. Fuck you Pat. You think you can just walk into Walnut Lane with your stupid little face and get the special discount coupon from VideoKing and not be a member????
It's questions like these that really piss me off because it just seems like the test picks and chooses when you can make assumptions and inferences. Neither of them explicitly state that they believe ESP exists either way, therefore I thought that I couldn't then make a leap that either of them are looking for evidence, so B seemed like the best answer choice as it relieves either of them from believing in ESP. It's just annoying that we are told every other question that we should have made a certain assumption and then be told that we can only pull from the stimulus in the next.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Okay no this question actually makes me so upset. Yes, I know. "The LSAT is never wrong". But lowkey this one is BS. Because for D, "It is a claim that is used as direct support for an intermediary conclusion, which in turn is used as direct support for the argument’s main conclusion." An INTERMEDIARY conclusion is a LINKING CONCLUSION in which "Because insects’ resistance to insecticides increases with insecticide use" LINKS to the MAIN CONCLUSION. You're telling me that B was a better answer than D??
Sometimes, I have a hard time understanding why I got a question wrong too and JY's explanation doesn't always click with me too. Usually it does, but in times it doesn't I either go into the comments because someone has likely put an explanation in there that I understand better, or I actually use my secret weapon: ChatGPT. Sometimes, I'll copy and paste the answer and what I chose and ask why I got it wrong. A lot of times, you can keep asking it questions until you kind of understand it in a way that works for you.
Anyone who says it's "unprofessional" and "immature" to be swearing in this course, I know every single one of you panic in the real world over very mundane, non-catastrophic things. But you're doing great with your implementation of quantifiers. You are definitely correct that most people will find it light hearted and brighten up their studies, meaning at least 51% of people of course. While I do find it as your own prerogative, though unfortunate, that you find the use of harmless language morally unjust and avoid using it yourself, if at least 51% of people on this course would say otherwise and believe that it actually helps to improve their learning, then I would say (if we're on the basis of morality) that holy shit that's just fucking fine because it's for the greater good. A curse word every now and again is not going to hurt you, I promise. Wait till you hear about crimes and legal issues, my dear Melissa.
How do you think he got into law school?
"Fuck yo couch"

Hey! I also work full time and I had found it super hard studying after work too, especially with a mentally taxing job. Because of that, I ended up switching my schedule to studying in the morning. Hear me out--it sounds like it's going to suck. But I realized that I don't have the mental capacity to do meaningful studying after work so I switched to mornings because I know that I have enough mental power. I'm gonna work while I'm at work anyways. I work M-F 8:30AM-5PM so my schedule has become wake up at around 5am, get ready for work, and then head to my local coffee shop that opens at 5:30AM. From 5:30am-around 8AM, I'm studying. I'm not too rigid with what exactly I study, but I always make sure to drill at least 10 questions every morning before I dive into content or refining my weak points. I have the ability to take unpaid time off so I take Wednesdays off to either take a full-length, blind review, or do heavy content watching days. I know that's not always possible for everyone to take a full day off, but you can still get a lot done in the mornings. And if I do have enough energy after my work day, I'll do some light studying, knowing I already did a good chunk in the AM. I also study heavy on either Saturday or Sunday, depending on what day I want to take off. It's definitely gonna take some discipline and habit building of a new morning routine but I feel like it's been way more efficient for me than how I used to study at night. Try it out for a week and see if you like it!
I think I just don't like how the AC equivocates high quality books with books of intrinsic value
