Study Groups

Does anybody want to create a small LSAT Vent group? This is something different than a study group; we wouldn't study topics or questions. Instead, we would:

  • Meet weekly on zoom for about 45 mins (10 min max for each person to give an update on their process, plus a little in-between time)
  • Be about four people
  • Check in about how LSAT studying is going, or anything else in the law school application process, whether good, bad, ugly
  • Complain as needed
  • Gloat as needed
  • Share personal progress goals; check in about how we did in meeting last week's goals (yay social pressure)
  • Create a whatsapp group for more daily gripes, accountability needs and/or celebrations
  • People could obviously plan study sessions from there if desired. But this space would not be centered on studying, but on simple camaraderie: an outlet for venting, for hold ourselves accountable to personal goals, for celebrating growth, for voicing fears and frustrations, and basically airing out any other LSAT related thoughts with people who are also going through the process.

Probably we should be in a similar boat: I am studying 5-6 days a week, 4-9 hours per day. Reply or message me!

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a person or 2 to help keep me accountable to my study schedule. I've come to realize that I allow myself to slip up way more than I do when I have someone counting on me to get my stuff done. I've also found that groups with more than a handful of people isn't enough to keep me on track, so I'm looking for up to 3 people max to work with.

I have availability Monday-Friday from 11am-5pm CST. I've got a lot of fresh PTs, so I'm looking for people who are at the beginning of their PT phase to BR sections of LR & RC with 2-3 times per week. I'm aiming for a mid-170s score so I'd prefer to work with anyone who's aiming for a similar score. I'm planning on taking the November test or possibly even the October test if I see enough progress in 3 weeks.

If you're interested, shoot me a DM!

Sometimes when getting stuck on questions it's just a matter of talking it out with someone but now I think my mom and sister are slightly over that. I was wondering if anyone would be up for hashing out tough problems together in hopes of learning more and studying in new ways. I was thinking we could set up a zoom call or something... Send me a message if this type of studying is helpful for you too.

Hey, anyone interested in becoming study buddies? I want someone who is willing to do serious studying and put in at least 12 hours a day! I don’t even mind having a group of four people. Please feel free to message me and we can communicate via Skype.

Thank you and best of luck to all preparing to write the LSAT in the future.

    Hi friends,

I'm Sonya and I have taken the LSAT before (twice lol). I am looking to take the exam once more in November and have been struggling with motivation to study and staying motivated every single day. Burnout it real. Looking for someone or a few people to join a study group/ hold each other accountable for the November exam.

Let me know if anyone is interested! (3(/p)

    Thanks,

    Sonya

    Hello!

I took the June LSAT flex and scored in the low 160's. I'm hoping to get a 167 or 168 in the October LSAT. Since I'm retaking, I want to try something a little different in my study plan, and I'm thinking a study group would be helpful!

I'm currently in Texas (central time). Let me know if you're interested and how we should start (Facebook, Zoom etc.)!

Hi Everyone! I'm looking to create a group of motivated individuals who would be interesting in drilling LR sections together (hopefully 2 or 3 times a week). I'm not yet at the point of doing full length PT's and wanted to do timed LR sections from PT's 20-50. The idea is to articulate your reasoning to someone and as JY says-either shatter that reasoning or reinforce that reasoning.

If this is something you'd be interested in doing let me know!

    Hello,

I plan on taking LSAT in November and would like create a study group. I think it is helpful to have an accountability partner and study group for tips and questions. (Teamwork>everything else) I work full time and am looking for someone similar. I plan on setting group meets on weekends (anytime that works best for all) or evening (pacific timezone). Please let me know if anyone is interested.

I'm going through the most difficult LR questions according to 7sage, and I'd like to start a discussion group. My last 5 scores are 175-179-176- 174-177-177-178 and most of my fluctuation comes from the LR sections, so I really want to get into the most difficult and tricky questions that have been written to hopefully decrease my error rate for the most difficult questions in a section.

Talking to other people in this range, LR seems to be the one that fluctuates the most as well, and I'd like to have some other people to talk about the ones that we're missing or have found difficult. I'm going to compile them into a google drive folder so we can all work from the same set.

    Anyone interested? Let me know!

    Hi Guys,

I am currently at the exact 50% mark of the core curriculum, which is right in the middle of the NA problem sets, and I have a test date booked for August. I am wondering if it is most beneficial to finish the core curriculum before starting PTs (I have only done one full test, the diagnostic, thus far). Thanks for your opinion!

Hey everyone, I'm looking for one to four highly motivated people to form a small study group with in preparation for the August 2020 LSAT! Motivate each other, study together, and really focus. Right now my PTs range from 168-172, trying to consistently score in mid 170s. Currently studying around 4-6 hours/day but will likely increase that time now that it's July. If you have similar goals, please let me know! I want to BR 2+ PTs per week; or if not that, at least be able to talk through specific LR questions. Also, I'm on the east coast so it would be great if you are EST also!

Hey guys! I graduated college/uni in 2017 (based in Vancouver, Canada) and am currently preparing for the LSAT. I'm planning to sit for the exam in October and would love to have an online/WhatsApp/iMessage/Fb/ANYTHING study group. Let me know if you're in!

    Hi all -

I have always wanted to take the LSAT but have been putting it off for YEARS. I signed for 7Sage 5 years ago and never followed through. This year I have decided that I want to start studying and hopefully be ready to take the LSAT this year. I’ve never studied so it’ll all be super new to me. If you’re just getting started as well or are interested in partnering up, please let me know. I’m located in MA and most likely will be looking at schools here when I start applying. I should also add that I have most of the LSAT study materials (LSAT bible books, past actual tests, etc.). I just need to get started and take at least the first test to see how I score while managing my FT work and family needs.

    Hey Guys,

Im looking for a study partner or group. I have been study for about a month, but I did take the May LSAT FLex (140). I have definitely been slacking in study because of lack of motivation. I would like us to keep each other motivated and also give each other tips and tricks. I also live in NY, your location doesn't matter to me because we can also DM or email each other. Cant wait to talk to some of you!

    Hi all!

I'm looking for someone who wants to communicate regularly about progress/questions--someone who will keep me on track and motivated. I work full time so most communication would have to happen online, but I can guarantee that I'll be a reliable partner!

For context, I've been studying for about a year. I'm planning on taking the August test.

I'm looking for other motivated test takers to discuss getting as close to a 180 as possible (including, of course getting a 180). Anyone interested?

I think its important to talk to people who have similar goals, both for motivation and for sharing tips, study habits, and generally getting into the mindset that scoring a 180 is very doable. In talking to others who have scored a 180 or close to it on the actual test, they have also talked about the importance of finding study partners who have similar goals.

Let me know if you're interested!

My last three PTs were 175, 176, 179

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a study buddy anywhere in Canada! What I would like to do is the following:

  • message each other daily to keep our study schedules on track (currently finding myself slacking a bit)
  • discuss important dates for all Canadian universities that we want to apply to (and lsat dates)
  • Please let me know in the comments below!

    Thanks! :)

Hi everyone! I'm taking the LSAT in August and thought it might be nice to have a group of folks to study with for the last couple of months. I'm currently scoring around 168-171 on PTs and am aiming for 170-175 on test day. Let me know if you're interested- if there's a pre-existing group I'd love to join as well. Thanks!
