7Sage Tutoring

Hello everyone! I have been studying for the LSAT for quite a while and took the test and completely let me anxiety get the best of me and my mind went blank. I am studying again for hopes of applying Fall 2025 and plan to take the test in April 2024. Although I am not done the Core Curriculum, I know I am in desperate help especially for Logical Reasoning. On my previous prep tests, I always get -10 to -14/15 on each section. I am seeing slow improvement in the logic games section because I am using the foolproof method. However, I am thinking about getting a tutor from 7Sage. For those currently working with a tutor, do you recommend it? I work full time and am saving up for law school but am scared that tutoring may just not work for me and I just blew away money that could have been used for law school tuition.

I am struggling to find a general rule that allows me to identify either by question stem or by answer choice when I can suspect that the correct answer to an NA question will also be a sufficient assumption. An example NA question with a sufficient assumption correct answer is 140.1.22. Does anyone have any general principles or rules?

Hello hello!

I took the February test this weekend (yay!), but I ran into some trouble trying to take the argumentative writing section. When I went to take it last week, my Google Chrome gave me a "Privacy Error". I had to call and ask them to reset the section for me! My plan is try it again tomorrow, but I wanted to ask if any other Mac-users experienced the same issue and what you did to get around it.

Thanks!

Hello everyone, I am writing to ask for general advice on how to proceed with my studies. I have dabbled in the core curriculum, and have now been scoring around seven wrong on my practice sections after consistently studying for a month. This has caused me to panic a bit, as the path forward feels muddled and uncertain. My goal is a 170, so I will need to improve significantly in the coming months, as I plan on taking the test in the fall so that I can go to law school next year. My dream school is Washington and Lee

Although I have maintained a good gpa of 3.93, I am a regular college student with regular habits. I plan on making some serious changes to my life in order to achieve my goal. I am hoping that you all may be able to provide me some guidance as to how to proceed.

This is very troubling to me, as I feel like I am being confronted with my own mediocrity. I fear the LSAT is going to stop me in my tracks and nullify the hard work I have done throughout college.

Burn out

I need to know that I’m not alone.

So I have been studying for months. I really locked in December > January and I took a break from prep tests which really helped me improve I took my first prep test from that month long break last week. After everything went down hill like I was so good at studying and doing better and focusing and now ever since the PT I can’t focus at all and it causes me to do bad. Any advice? Maybe I’m experiencing burnout? Do I need like more sleep less screen time, I read books but it’s been awhile so maybe I should start again to build my stamina?

I was planning on April test date but at this point it’s like maybe June. LSAT is truly one of the most hard and confusing processes.

Reading Comprehension Stamina

I am struggling with my stamina for reading comprehension. I either have to pause after every section or two to take a short brain break, or I do the section but don't comprehend anything and get a bad score.

Any tips for improving this?

I have been studying for the LSAT for a while and am seeking to study with a small group of people that I can view as accountability partners. I want to be able to walk through each question to explain why each right answer is right and why the wrong answer is wrong. I feel as if I have hit a plateau, and I want to take the necessary steps to break through to my goal score.

Currently, I am testing in the mid to low 160's and have an end goal of reaching the high 160's or lower 170's. I understand the fundamental principles and have been working to get my accuracy as high as possible, as that is the only way to score in the higher range.

I am open to a virtual or in-person group; I am based in Austin for college and will be in Houston once I graduate.

Hi Everyone! I know someone posted about an Atlanta study group a few months back, but I'm hoping to get some folks together in the ATL metro area to study either in-person or online or both! I am planning on taking the test either in February or April 2026. I've already taken it twice and this is gonna be my last time, so I'm not registering for it until I feel 95% confident I'll get the score I want (mid-170s). I work full time but have a flexible schedule, so I'd probably organize weekend meetups and maybe a few weekday ones too. I'm in my mid-20s and work in public interest law at the moment in case that's relevant to folks :)

Hello everyone,

I have completed the foundational portion of the course and have jumped to the LR question types now. I was wondering would you recommend finishing the LR question types first? Or can I practice the questions on the side as well? Along with completing the course.

Thanks

I got a really high score once on a PT and now every single test is significantly lower- what do I do, how can I make my highest consistent?

Seeking Help: RC Accuracy

Does anyone have any specific advice on improving RC accuracy? I keep getting the same score despite feeling like I review my answers well. A trouble of mine is that I'm not even really sure how to overcome my mistakes since there's no 'rule' to apply, like with LR which is seemingly more formulaic.

Heyo 7Sagers,

It's been a while since I posted here. I return after the November 2018 LSAT with some good news: I got into my desired law school with a scholarship! A year ago, when I was contemplating whether to give up on the LSAT after my December 2017 write, I was convinced that I wouldn't even see a scholarship, let alone be admitted to any law school. I had hinged everything on the December LSAT and, because of my low score, I was not admitted to any of the law schools I applied to. This is around about the time I discovered 7Sage, which motivated me to study and rewrite in November 2018. This cycle, after improving my score by 18 points, I had offers with scholarships from each of the schools I applied to.

I am so grateful for the 7Sage community and for JY's sage wisdom. Without either, I would not have gotten to where I am today: stress free and looking forward to starting on my path come September. Let it be known: some elbow grease and a can-do attitude can get you far, but following the sage advice of JY and the 7Sage community will do you wonders.

In light of this, I wanted to pay forward the help I received here and give y'all my comprehensive study guide, which I compiled throughout my own LSAT journey. I'm very proud of it and believe that reviewing this on the daily helped me achieve my 18 point increase.

So, without further ado, I present to you my study guide: https://www.scribd.com/document/399013916/Tim-Horton-s-LSAT-Notes

Go get 'em, 7Sage fam.

Cheers,

Tims

Hello!

I’m planning to take the April 2026 LSAT and looking for a study partner or small study group for accountability as the test date gets closer.

I’m based in Central NJ and work full-time (end work days around 7:30pm), so I mostly study evenings and weekends. I’d be down for weekend coffee shop study sessions if you’re local, but I’m also totally fine with just zoom sessions only.

Hoping for:

Someone willing to study consistently (daily or almost daily)

Interested in doing quick check-ins or joint quiet study sessions (Zoom)

Preferably also balancing work (but not required)

Hi

I’m prepping for the April 2026 LSAT and realized studying solo isn’t cutting it anymore. Looking to form a small, focused study group or find a reliable study partner.

Ideally:

  • 2–3 people max

  • Regular check-ins + timed practice

  • Honest review of wrong answers

  • Accountability > motivation

I’m serious about improving and keeping this efficient. If you’re also committed and don’t want to drag this out alone, hit me up.

Robert

Howdy all, looking for people in the LA area for study sessions, can be virtual or in person. I'm personally going to be taking in April, not that it matters. Looking to combine strengths/weaknesses to become stronger. (My strength is RC) Lots of cafes/libraries we can pick to study, if not just a discord sesh. Cheers!

🙃 Confused

Lil' frustrated, but hangin in there

Soo I started my prep like the second week of January and had about a week off since... In the beginning it was kinda fun and I was getting a lot of the practice/skill builders correct, but now I'm consistently getting the first pass and BR wrong on the practice questions embedded in the study plan. I'm curious has anyone experienced this and is it normal? I'm trying to tell myself I need to keep pushing forward through the learning and I'll review lessons for reoccurring issues (like the oldest in the book) and I do watch the full vide explanations of the right answers and wrong answers (i can usually understand why the right one is and when i can't i flag) and I guess I'm thinking that it all builds... will I be screwed if I get through the lessons and then plan to use drilling and practice to solidify concepts? Like should I be going back to review more now before I even most past the study foundational portion? I guess, would love direction... Do I a) take a pause to review lessons or b) keep going through lessons as planned and then use the practice time at the end to hammer in those lessons?

Hi, I'm Nick! I work primarily with students who feel stuck despite doing a lot of practice and need a clearer system for understanding why they’re missing questions.

I went from 158 --> 178 in 4 months by learning how to diagnose my mistakes and change how I approached the test. I now work with students using that same approach, focusing on underlying reasoning issues that lead to fast, durable score improvements. I’m a good fit for students who want structured feedback and are willing to think carefully about their mistakes—not just do more questions.

You can find more about my tutoring philosophy and availability on my website. Happy to answer any questions!

Previously, when selecting a Q-Type tag (like MBT) and a Stim Logic tag (like Conditional Reasoning), you'd get questions tagged MBT OR CondR. But we've found that most students and tutors prefer an AND relationship in that situation. They'd really want to target conditional-based MBT questions and prefer to minimize other kinds of questions.

Here's how the filters work now:

Multiple tags within the same category: OR

Example: Must Be True, Sufficient Assumption = MBT OR SA

Example: Conditional Reasoning, Causal Reasoning = CondR OR CausR

Multiple tags across different categories: AND

Example: Sufficient Assumption, Causal Reasoning = SA AND CausR

Example: Must Be True, Sufficient Assumption, Conditional Reasoning, Causal Reasoning = (MBT OR SA) AND (CondR OR CausR)
