Hi guys, I've been struggling with this question. I chose E. I know that JY explains this by saying we don't know if this use of parathion happens in real world or is it just in our experiment. But doesn't the last paragraph explicitly say that the experiment results are "similar in field planting of strawberries"? Doesn't this show that it indeed happens in real world, that some people indeed used parathion to eliminate T and eventually caused C to reach a damaging level?

Question

Hello, I am having trouble with questions that lose me in terms of understanding the context. I seem to get bogged down in the details of questions in which I don't understand the context, with things like construction or economy for example, and I end up sinking a lot of time in them. How do you keep your mind focused in situations like this, as well as comprehend what the argument is saying?

I am aware that it is generally not the best idea to Pass/Fail multiple courses, as it could be frowned upon by law schools. Since many undergrad schools have changed their policies regarding Pass/Fail options, in light of COVID, I have heard a lot of mixed opinions about whether it affects admissions. My university requires that all students take 2 physical education courses, both of which I completed this semester. Essentially everyone takes these courses for credit, opting for a Pass/Fail, or S/U grading option, since they are only one credit hour each and unreasonably difficult to receive an A in. I received a B+ in one class, and a B in the other. These do not bring down my GPA at all, however, if I were to Pass/Fail these classes, my cumulative GPA would increase 0.015 points (0.02 for CAS GPA). I know that the difference between 3.76 and 3.78 seems minuscule, but I am applying to schools in the fall, so this may be my last chance to change my GPA. I only have a week to decide before my transcript is finalized for this semester. Should I Pass/Fail these classes to increase my GPA? Will law schools even care if my transcript shows an "S" for introduction to swim conditioning?

Hi everyone.

I have been studying diligently for the June LSAT for 2 months now. For some reason, this past week I have not been in the right mindset to study at all. The thought of studying sounded dreadful and I had 0 motivation. The test is next weekend I need to get back into the groove so I can reach my goal score. Any tips for getting back into it?

Thank you!

LR AP

Can someone explain what claim does AC E imply? Is "claim stated earlier" is subsidiary conclusion (1st sentence), or "since dog breeders try to maintain.....) Thank you!

Hi all,

I am looking to form a study group with people who want to improve on the hardest passages in the test. Prerequisite is scoring at least -6 per section on RC. The plan is to start next week on Friday 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM eastern standardized time to discuss 4 passages that I pick. If you are interested DM me.

Looking for clarity re: the curve on this one. From what I can gather (from PowerScore podcast), the curve for April's LSAT is much tougher than how the PrepTests here have been curved.

Am I staring down the barrel of a lower score than all of my PTs?

looking for people who want to improve on RC as much as me! We can do an RC and BR together and figure out our weaknesses and share tips on how to improve. My RC fluctuates from -5/6 to -10/12.

Any thoughts on the Revised Pay as You Earn Plan (RPYE )?

Pros and Cons ??

Do you think the govt could afford it for the next 25 years?

What happens when you make too much money ?

How does it work with taxes? Do you pay your regular income taxes ... and then pay a fixed amount every year in taxes based on the loans forgiven?

I took my first diagnostic LSAT around April of 2020 and scored a 161, with LG as my weakest section by far (only got all the way through one game). During the school year I work and go to school full time, and I have the summers off. I used last summer to take the Test Masters course, but by the end I had only improved my score by two points, mostly because I am really slow at LG and I’m not able to get through the games in time, though my other sections are generally good (normally miss about 3 on RC, 3-6 on LR). I got a 7Sage subscription and I have been studying on and off since then, and I just took my first practice test since the fall and scored a 160 :( My highest practice test to date is a 164 with a 174 blind review score, and I’m discouraged I dropped from that point. I mainly am just really struggling with Logic Games, and even though I’ve done a million of them I am still very slow, which is the main thing holding my score back.

I also had some bad things happen in my personal life during undergraduate that resulted in a low undergraduate GPA (though I’m currently enrolled in a Master program at an Ivy with a 3.9 GPA, and I have good softs like published research in a prestigious journal, lots of leadership positions etc.), so I feel pretty discouraged because I know I need to knock the LSAT out of the park to compensate, and because my diagnostic was relatively high I thought I could do it but now I'm losing hope. I’m also discouraged because I seem stuck so stubbornly around 160 and I just feel like I am not getting any faster at LG. Any advice/encouragement is welcome. Thanks in advance!

I am a week into LSAT studying, about halfway through the “Causation and Phenomenon-Hypothesis Questions” section, and am wondering when I should start seeing close to 5/5 with BR on drills and quizzes? For the most part, I do well on the videos J.Y. goes over with us as part of the curriculum, but am being absolutely wrecked during drills, even with BR. I have months before taking my first official LSAT (June probably), but am curious whether I should be absolutely nailing these sections before moving on any further, or if I should continue through the syllabus as it will all fall together later on. Thanks in advance!

I really need help with answer choice A because it seems perfectly fine to me. Is this answer choice incorrect because the argument against internal relations in paragraph 4 stated that "to truly know an entity, we must know all of its relationships?" Is this not the same thing as "defining the entities of which the system is composed?" I thought they were the same thing because if scientists had to define each and every relationship the entities in the system had, wouldn't that mean all entities would have to ultimately be identified and that was why the author had an issue with internal relations? but if I am wrong, I would like to know. And is A supported by the passage even if it is the incorrect answer choice for this particular question?

And this is more of a general question but are organicism and internal relations two separate, but related concepts?

Hey everyone!

In conditional-heavy games, when a question stem introduces a new temporary conditional, I have trouble linking this to the master chain, especially if it's already completed.

Anyone know any good video lessons or resources that could help me out with this?

Thanks!

About: https://www.lsac.org/lsat/taking-lsat/lsat-scoring/about-lsat-score-preview

Basically this is a paid feature that allows first time test takers preview their score before deciding whether or not to cancel/keep it. Personally I think I'm pretty set on not paying for it though it crosses my mind once in a while, especially now that I'm days away from my first exam. In my mind, a lower first score is okay as long as a future retake is an improvement and I don't see why schools would view this negatively either though this is a total guess.

Really curious - has anyone spoken to contacts from any admissions offices about Score Preview / first score cancellation? Are any of you planning to hit up the offer and want to share benefits I might not have considered?

I am using an LSAC-provided Microsoft Surface Go tablet for the Flex. LSAC said they will not provide a stylus with the tablet. I asked them if I could buy a stylus for the test that works with the surface tablet, they said they do not believe so. While I doubt they presented me with incorrect information, I am a bit confused because they provided the stylus with in-person digital tests. Why would LSAC not provide/allow Flex testers to utilize a stylus?

Has anyone used an LSAC-provided tablet and used a stylus? If so, how did it go? Or, if you used your fingers, how was it? Were you having to press twice or jumping to the wrong questions because the numbers are close together?

Any general advice or experience using an LSAC-provided MSG tablet would be much appreciated!

I attended a different college for my freshman year and got a 3.39 which was mostly A- but then a C- lowered it. I then transferred where I should end up with around a 3.92 for the remaining 3 years here. I know that law schools will look at both transcripts, but would most law schools look at them separately and maybe focus on the 3.9? Is there a policy such that they have to combine the two or can they approach the 2 gpa's at their discretion such that they can officially count my gpa as 3.9 so it would have better effect on their admissions stats, that is if they were to accept me ofc.?

For this question, I was wondering why E is the wrong answer? Passage A and B endorse the same principles that lying is necessary in writing good narrative, but B says later they see it as unethical while A does not. Is it because the principle they are endorsing isn't exactly the same but applied to diff contexts (lying is necessary in historical vs. lying is necessary in autobiographical) and thus D is the right answer?
