hi all! i took the LSAT for the first time in january and scored a 166. i studied a ton and recently took the june exam only to have scored a 165. i am aiming for a 170+ and planning on taking the test again in august. would you recommend cancelling my june score since i had a point decrease?

Approximately 9:40 into the video, J.Y. says that a game piece that is the sufficient condition cannot be the item that goes twice because it would set up the necessary condition twice, which cannot occur in the context of the game.

I am confused why G or J can’t be in paired in the last group and cannot be the item that goes twice.

I recall in another lesson J.Y. saying in logic games where items can be used more than once, if an item is already triggered and satisfied, then that item can be used and isn’t constrained by it’s conditional relationship.

Does this sounds familiar to anyone or am I confused?

I am trying to aim at the low 160s and I seem to get a handful of 2/3 LR Questions wrong in my PTs. I am drilling the first 15 LR Qs (15 min for 15 Qs) and wondering if yall have tips of mastering these "easier" Questions compared to 4/5 Star LR ones.

I am looking for a group of individuals who would like to work together during the blind review process. I attend Fordham University and I can get us a small study room with a white board and everything else that is needed. Looking for a dedicated and serious bunch of people who are ready to kill the LSAT together!

I recently took the June Lsat, I consistently scored between 160-163 on the four or five consecutive practice exams I took prior to my test. I ended up getting a 156 on the actual exam. I dont know if this drop may have been due to nerves (I had technical issues the day of my exam and was not able to start for an hour after my shceduled time and this had me very anxious and stressed). I took all PTs under real testing and time conditions. I wish there were a way to review my official LSAT and see which questions I missed etc. I am already registered for the August exam, this time at a testing center, and I'm hoping for a 160+. Any tips on what to do this time around? Im scared to not study effectively and just waste my time, I feel like I've done every LSAT question there is. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I had a first LSAT absence 4 years ago, which appears on the LSAC record. Back then, I decided to pursue a different career path, thinking I won't ever take LSAT and go to law school. But as I'm studying and preparing for law school again now, I was wondering if I do not show up for the registered October test, will total of two absences appearing on the record hurt my chance of admission when I actually apply?

I saw several discussions online saying it won't matter much, but those comments were written 3~4 years ago, so I wanted to know if such is still the case. Thank you!

Hi my name is Mark, I'm the father of a cute 1 year old, married and I work full time in the Army. I'm asking for something really unlikely but hey it's worth a shot :) I'm looking for a tutor who can help me for free via the messaging system here on 7S or communicate through non-live chat, mainly due to my constantly changing military and family obligations. I'm PT'ing at about 160, BR'ing in the low 170's and I have an intense drive to hit that 170!! :D I wake up early to study before work, study over lunch, and I hit the library after work if my wife has a handle on the crazy 1 year old. I really want to go to Stanford or Harvard and I know I can do it!!! I just need a little help to get there.

I'm taking the November LSAT but I plan on taking at least 2 more LSATs next spring and summer.

Currently I need the most help with descriptive weakening, necessary assumption, parallel flawed method of reasoning, and most strongly supported. I totally suck at LG but I'm working through foolproofing and my RC is usually -7.

Any tips / help is much appreciated and if someone is willing to help out or give tutoring a shot, I'd absolutely appreciate it. Thanks :)

For background, I've taken the LSAT twice and scored low 160's both times (albeit my second score was significantly lower than my PT averages). For the last 10 PTs, my average score is 169, peaking at a 175. My average performances are -3.4, -2.3, and -5 in LR, LG, and RC respectively.

I know what I need to do to better my LR and LG scores and I've gotten -0 on these sections before. The issue is I have no idea how to approach RC. My best was a -2 and I don't think I can reach -0 with my current tactics. I've gone through all the curriculum and am stuck because I feel like the only way I can improve in RC is by reading faster and being more attentive. I always aim for the big picture and the low resolution summaries slow me down considerably.

If you have a strategy for RC, even if it is unique, I would love to hear it! This is especially true if you have a strategy/strategies for specific question types on RC since I would love a more focused approach.

I feel like its my anxiety mostly that kinda eats me up at the beginning of the test.

hello all! has anyone had the chance to study CC V1 and CC V2 and recommend one more than other? I have taken the LSAT before but I’m studying to take it again so since I am familiar with the test, I was leaning towards V2 to refresh my mind but also want the most detailed. Any suggestions?

Hey all, I'm in an odd spot with reccommendation letters. I have an old military supervisor and an advisor at my current undergrad insitution that have written really solid letters, but I just cannot seem to get one from a professor. My whole time in undergrad, I've never had the opportunity to take two classes from the same professor. Also, the professors I've gotten to know and who I could ask have a policy aginst writing a letter for anyone unless they've taken two or more of their classes. Law schools really emphasize that applicants should get a letter from a professor if they're still in undergrad, but I'm pretty much stuck without one. Is this something I could write an addendum to explain, or would that make the situation look even worse?
