Hello!

I'm looking to organize a study group for people who are taking the October 2021 LSAT and aiming for a 170+ and currently in the 160+ range! We will be focusing on reviewing practice tests/question sets, keeping each other accountable and challenging our thought process for each question. Please PM me if you're interested!!

I'm also looking to find a couple of people to tutor for free! I hit a 166 on the actual LSAT and believe that teaching others is a great way to learn. PM if you're interested in the opportunity! Lets conquer the LSAT together :]!

What are some trends you noticed, in terms of difficulty, between older and newer PTs? Please specify the ranges. I know that this may be subjective but there also seems to be an agreement that more recent LRs are verbose, in comparison to the older ones, for example. What other trends do you see in LR?

I know that comparative passages were introduced after PT52 - are there other trends in RC that I should be aware of? What about LG?

I look forward to read your comments. Once again, please specify the ranges you are referring to. Thanks in advance!

Hi! Recently started learning about formal logic and it's kicking my butt to be honest. I'm still a little confused on how you even identify a conditional statement (I was going through some of the exercises and was like seriously, this is a conditional statement?).

More importantly, I'm still a little confused about how to deduce sufficient vs necessary conditions. I don't want to rely solely on indicators as LSAT is a test about understanding. If you guys could share your tips/explain, I would appreciate that so much, thanks!!

I have 3.5 months to get score from (just over 12 weeks) to go from 150 to 157 - 160 range.

My incorrect answers are somewhat even on each section, but struggling most (conceptually speaking) on logic games, especially with the speed. I can set up most games but have a hard time attacking the questions.

Should I drill the LR question types I have most difficulty with?

Drill reading to improve efficiency / speed?

Is it better to drill drill drill, then take practice test and review and go from there?

Any specific advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

--CALLED AND LEARNED SCHEDULING OPENS AT 3 PM PST/6 PM EST

The day that I want to test is all booked. Is there anything I can do?

I can't test on any day but Saturday, but there is only availability for the weekdays. I have work which I really can't call off for at this time.

Hi everyone,

I'm really struggling with parallel, parallel flaw, and weakening arguments. It started out as my strongest areas but has plummeted as I am actually trying to figure out the methods and not base it on intuition. Doesn't nearly every single argument have a flaw? Like with an analogy I can always just say "relationship between X and Y isn't similar enough to Y and Z to be compared". It's just so frustrating that the test makers are setting the parameters for whether I'm looking for a flaw or saying some absolutely bizarre, nonsensical, but technically sound (?) argument is actually one that I'm looking for a parallel for. Thank you so much for taking the time to help!

Is anyone in the DC/DMV area taking the lsat before the logic games get removed that still needs to do fool proofing?

I printed out all the logic games from 1-35 with the intent of fool proofing but I didn’t get to it and now I’m gonna take the lsat post logic games so don’t need it. Would love for it to go to someone instead of just tossing it! DM me if you want it!

I've done the diagnostic and before using 7sage (and now realizing I shouldn't have) I did a few practice tests. I consistently did very well on the LR (-4 to -0) but need some work on the LG and RC. Part of that is because I took formal logic in college which helps a lot with LR. I also saw that the LR section was 120 hours of time where the other two are each 40. Because of this, I thought it was better to try to go through the other two sections of the course, and see how I'm doing on practice tests after that before seeing if I needed to do the LR section.

But as I'm starting to go through the RC section of the course I'm seeing that there are a couple small references to the LR section. I wanted to see if it's worth going the entirety of the LR course section now or if there are a few specific parts of it that are relevant but not necessarily the entirety. Has anyone else been in a similar situation where they're good at LR but need to work on the other two? Would love any advice people have!

I joined a few discussion posts a while ago for trading personal statements but I didn't expect to take this long in my application process. ):

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me feedback on my personal statement? I have a very rough draft going right now. I could look over yours too if you need.

I am getting very frustrated that many of the questions that I got wrong on preptest 156 do not have explanations, they only have the option to "discuss." Does anyone know why this is and where I can find explanations? Also does anyone know if there's a way I can know before taking a preptest that I will not have explanations for each questions? #help #feedback

I’ve been PTing in the low to mid 160s (I should add that I haven’t been PTing much, I’ve probably completed 4-5 in the last 3 months because I had just finish the CC and was focused on drilling). My PT last week was 162 (which was lower than my last) and 167 BR. I made a lot of silly mistakes on it such as missing an “except” in question stem and misreading a premise to say the opposite. Since then I’ve been really hammering my main areas of weakness and taking time to go over my thinking. Anyway, since I was bored at work today I decided to do an Untimed PT since I knew I’d be interrupted. I scored a 175 (UNTIMED**) and a 176 BR. I just really don’t know what I should take away from this. I know this isn’t reflective of my score for a timed test. I don’t have any issue with timing in that I always finish and have a few min left over to go back, but can I infer that it’s an issue of not being able to apply my deeper knowledge in a fast enough pace? I guess I’m asking what you guys would take away from this in terms of applying it to your studying and getting the score under timed conditions?

If we already have a ProctorU account, do we have to use the login credentials that LSAC emailed us with? I already registered for a time slot with the account I already made. Thanks!

    First discussion post!

Every single one of my jobs on my resume is intermittent employment. I was an actor and needed jobs that were flexible. My question is, how do I fill out the hours per week section? Jobs ranged from 0-50 hours a week depending on who needed work and my own availability. Is it bad to leave that section blank on the employment section? It looks too cluttered to add (0-xx hours a week) on all the jobs on my resume.

Has anyone found a good solution to this?

Hey guys! I'm looking for a few people to form an online study group for the upcoming August LSAT. I'm in the Eastern Standard Time zone. If you're interested, let me know! Drop your email in the discussion thread or send me a message

I just want to make sure I’m thinking about this right. I did a game where one rule said if H is in, G is not. And another rule said if J is not in, S is in. So when diagramming, if the slash is through the right variable (necessary condition) it’s always true that both can be out but both can’t be in. If the slash is through the left (sufficient condition) it’s always true that both can be in but both can’t be out (at least one must be in). Right? I tend to make reversal mistakes so I’m trying to make sure I fully understand.
