Why isn't there an explanation video for the RC passages on PTB?

So I was scheduled to take the test at 7am this morning and I had ran the equipment check multiple times the night before and the morning of. All equipment checks said I was good to go. However, once i went to start the test, the testing session had another system check called "ports" and repeatedly failed. This "ports" requirement was not a part of the equipment test and I had no idea that this could be a problem. I contacted tech support and they went through my settings and made sure everything was good which it was. I had techs straight up leave the chat multiple times and had other support workers having me repeat the same uninstall-reinstall tasks over and over to no avail. Eventually, after 2 hours, one of the techs just sent me a link that let me bypass the testing session and finally take the test around 9:30. There was no problem with screen sharing or them controlling my computer so I can only assume this was a technical error on their part.

While I got to take the test, it was immediately after 2 hours of non-stop heart-pumping stress and a few nervous breakdown close calls. I will definitely be taking it again in October but this has set back my app date by a few months all while I have to study for the lsat again while finishing my senior thesis. Im at a loss for how I will manage all of this now. Besides just letting off steam with this post I would like to know what you all think I should do. I do have chat logs with the technicians. I know filing a formal test complaint with LSAC will delay my scores by 3 weeks. Should I try and contact LSAC by other means and let them know the situation? The biggest thing is that I do not, under any circumstances, want to take it again through ProctorU.

I'm averaging 155 and really hoping to break into the lows 160s for the October/November! Running into timing issues for RC , LG averaging -5, and LR averaging -10 lol (need the most help with). I would really like help creating a study schedule for the next 2 months and also like help for improving on these sections efficiently. I've been out of school for a few years but my resume is...supbar to say the least and I haven't had it properly looked at in years aside from the occasional employer. I just don't have anything remarkable to put down regarding my college years and none of my jobs were in the field of law. I also don't plan on applying to more than 6-7 schools (all T-14) so would the full-on admissions consulting be worth it in my case? It's horrifically expensive and I didn't foresee such a cost. I understand that securing scholarships can amount to getting tens of thousands of dollars but there's obviously no guarantee and if you don't have this kind of money, it won't appear just because you've got the need. Before I even attempt to shell out this amount of cash, I want to know if there are other options. All I know for certain is that I won't be able to do all this alone. I've shown my personal statements to my professors before (4 in total) and aside from correcting negligible grammatical mistakes, they've left them pretty much intact and so I'm left feeling lost because I know for certain that they were not even close to being ready. And even worse, I've made a significant change in why I want to pursue law and so all those old personal statements (or what was left of them) are rendered null and void.

I still haven't even taken the LSAT exam yet, but I'm really feeling the heat given how close the Fall 2022 admissions cycle is to beginning. I'm at a loss as to how to even approach fixing my resume, let alone the "optional" diversity statement.

Took the june flex and got a 169 - I'm trying to get into legal academia (PhD in history) so i can only apply top tier essentially, which I'm seeing a 169 does not cut it for. For those who took the test a second time and improved 3-4 points, do you have any tips to make studying more effective? I was PT'ing between 172-178 before the test - the last month before scores declined due to nerves/burnout. Not sure how to avoid this with re-test, and REALLY don't want to devote my life to this cursed test again for nothing. Any help very much appreciated

I'm taking in November and probably January. I have access to all LSAC released prep tests but they are in PDF format. I also like the prep test format on Khan Academy. That being said, a few questions...

Let's say my goal score is a 171, and on my last two PTs, I scored a 171 both times, the first with a 173 BR and the second with a 177 BR. At what point is it safe to say I'm PTing my goal range? After 3 PTs with that score (or higher)? After 5?

I came to cross PT 70 sec1 Q11, and started to wonder what proportional propositions imply.

Let’s say “The more A, the more B” is given as a Premise, not Conclusion

Does this mean that the Only contributing factor to B is the A, regardless of any other factors?

Since it literally means the more A, the more B, if A goes up, then B should go up, right?

Then as long as A is more, then other factors doesn’t matter?

OR is the proposition imply that “if all other factors are equal”? So even if A rises, if the other factors are not equal and offset the proportional relationship between A and B?

I am having problems with the Logical Games especially with grouping and matching. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

When it comes to these harder disagreement type questions, are we supposed to look for what the two speakers explicitly disagree about or is it supposed to be implied? The video explanation seemed to indicate that it was the latter, but I feel that answer choice C points out something the two speakers were disagreeing about explicitly.

Is Answer choice B incorrect because it talks about the possibility of creating art that "people enjoy and support?" I felt that neither of the two authors gave any answer for that.

As for answer choice E, I read it as saying "express" rather than "achieve." If it had said "express," would this have been the correct answer? JY points out a bunch of assumptions you'd have to make for this to be the correct answer in the video, but are those correct assumptions? He never confirms whether they are or not and then the video ends.

I've also read other explanations that state the reason why this choice is wrong is because it talks about what is "wise" while the speakers only talk about what "should be" but how are those two things mutually exclusive? I felt that if someone were to ask either speaker whether it was wise to have public art that helped "express consensus," Laurie would say yes because it's something that public art "should do" and Elsa would say no because it's an impossible goal.

I believe I have a firm understanding of most underlying concepts to questions/passages at this point in my studies. Although, I might easily be incorrect in that presumption. I have read the LR and LG PowerScore bibles page-for-page. I have completed nearly every educational video in the syllabus for 7Sage. I have read the entirety of Manhattan Prep's RC book. I am kinda stuck on where to go from here. Here are my stats currently, which I am only providing as a basis for how I should study:

Generally LR (-2/-3), LG (-0/-1), and RC (-5/-6).

These stats alone -- I think -- reveal my weakness in RC and a need to really focus on it in the coming days. Are there any suggestion on how I can most effectively improve my score in roughly 30 days? I could still take sections and review normally. I could attempt to pay for a tutor -- albeit I am completely self-supporting in college. Any insight on how to make the next jump would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys! I'm looking to locate a specific RC passage and really don't have much to go on - guess I'm hoping someone else will be able to recognize it lol.

I believe it was in the 60s or 70s and it was written like a journal or about someones journal or something, I think it was about a Chinese author? Anyways that's very limited information, the reason I'm looking for this passage is because it was ABSTRACT AF. Like there was BARELY any structure and it was notorious for this.

Did anyone else notice that their mouse and or browser was somewhat laggy during the test? this made it really annoying to highlight things and even press on which answer I was choosing.

I doubt that its due to my computer or internet connection because I am well above average in both of those respects.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm assuming its just a byproduct of being proctored but figured I'd ask.

Do you guys think it would be beneficial to first learn the section and then do practice questions before moving on to the next section. Like should I get the methods down first then practice and do exams or should i get the method down apply it additionally and move on?
