Would anyone be down to have a BR session next week? I'm looking for maybe one or two people to BR with since I only have a free Zoom account. If someone has a Zoom account and is willing to host, I'm down to have a bigger group! Please comment below or PM me. All score ranges are welcome :)

Anyone planning on taking the October LSAT? How far are you along in the course and how much time do you dedicate per day. Just wondering how everyone else is doing!

Hi all,

I have been studying for the LSAT for four months using Khan Academy, after increasing somewhat I eventually found myself plateauing, and at points regressing, while at the same time burning through practice tests. I recently joined 7Sage and find the explanations and lessons helpful, however with other responsibilities it is not realistic for me to complete all lessons and a substantial amount of practice tests in advance of the August or even Fall tests. Does anyone have any advice of your approaches?

Thanks in advance

Long time user of 7Sage here. I've studied for the LSAT for a while now and I scored a 170 on test day and I'm planning to retaking for a high 170s score. My PTs have ranged from 169-178, but I am still quite inconsistent within this range.

I've been considering going through the Core Curriculum. I've watched a few videos before but have never actually sat down to go through the whole thing. I'm now considering going through the CC because I have decided to apply not this upcoming cycle, but the following one, and so I do have more time to study. I'd like to improve in all 3 sections but my current weaknesses are:

Formal Logic (not including conditional logic, but just operating the Most/Some statements and those questions).

Weird games (pattern games, mapping games, circular games in PowerScore language. Think Employee Workpiece game or Virus game).

Rule substitution questions.

Science passages in RC.

Curve-breaker RC/LR questions.

Consistency in all 3 sections (to go from -2 to -3 to -0 to -1 consistency.

I'd say that I'm strong at LG (able to go -0 to -3) but I'm also seeking more consistency. Would you say that the LG portion of the Core Curriculum is worth going through if one has already done all the games there and even watched most the explanation videos for those particular games? Is there anything different between the explanations for LG within the CC vs. the explanation videos for the games taught in the CC (found under Problem Sets > Explanation Videos)? I've heard rave reviews about the LG portion of the CC specifically from quite a few people, so I'm wondering if it's worth going through or whether it's more for someone who's still making a ton of mistakes?

I don't think it's really necessary for me to go through the CC, but I do think that it might help solidify my knowledge and cover any remaining weaknesses I have.

How long did it take you to go through the entire CC (not counting doing the actual PTs included in there)?

I was thinking that I would skip some of the LR/RC Problem Sets because I've developed my own system of allocation for the PTs and I don't have that many fresh PTs left, so I want to be careful not to use up any fresh PTs/sections. How long would just watching the video lessons take (not including the problem sets)?

I would also love any advice about how you went about going through the CC/what to skip/what's important. Did you take a lot of notes? Did any of you high scorers (170+) do something similar where, for a retake, you went back to the fundamentals? Did it pay off to do so?

Hi all! I bought access to the full course, and saw that according to the course syllabus you don't start doing the PT's till you finish all the class material. If i study 40+hrs a week, that means I don't start doing PTs until at least week 7. I know we shouldn't spoil past real exams, but was just wondering has anyone tried incorporating PTs into their studying before finishing all class material? like taking one PT a week just to track progress or get a feel for the entire exam?

Question

Hello, I am having trouble with questions that lose me in terms of understanding the context. I seem to get bogged down in the details of questions in which I don't understand the context, with things like construction or economy for example, and I end up sinking a lot of time in them. How do you keep your mind focused in situations like this, as well as comprehend what the argument is saying?

I have been a little all over the board with LR questions, averaging anywhere from -2 to -5. It's my worst section and no matter how much I review past questions I continue to make mistakes. Some seem to be due to timing because on BR I can usually find about half of my mistakes. I think my brain just goes cloudy. Any advice for LR refining in the last few weeks before LSAT/how to get over the slump? Feeling unmotivated #help

As I understand it, LSAT is fully digital now and there isn't an option to take the test with actual paper and pencil. I hate not being able to cross out and jot things down in the actual margins of the test. Does anyone have tips or insight on this point? Most folks are probably fine doing digital but I'm old and prefer concrete, pencil and paper tests.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me get some info on test times for the august lsat. do we get an email letting us know when we can schedule the time? How does the system work? just a first time test taker in need of a lot of help! thanks in advance!

I took my diagnostic test recently, my test score was pretty mediocre. I feel confident in my LR sections, this is my strength. I always enjoyed this section and I am pretty consistent in getting these right. However, I tanked in the LG and RC section. I ran out of time in RC and that's were most of my missed questions came from. In the LG section, I read them all, but could not make sense of how to diagram or where to start.

I am aiming for the LSAT in October, but will probably take the Aug. test depending. I know I can score in my target range, but I really need to get the LG / RC sections up if I am to do so.

My question is, should I skip to LG / RC sections in the 7sage curriculum and focus on building these skills up? Or continue to work through the curriculum in order as listed? Does the material build on and I will be missing the fundamentals to LG or would it be okay to skip around and target my weak areas?

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello!

I'm looking to organize a study group for people who are taking the October 2021 LSAT and aiming for a 170+ and currently in the 160+ range! We will be focusing on reviewing practice tests/question sets, keeping each other accountable and challenging our thought process for each question. Please PM me if you're interested!!

I'm also looking to find a couple of people to tutor for free! I hit a 166 on the actual LSAT and believe that teaching others is a great way to learn. PM if you're interested in the opportunity! Lets conquer the LSAT together :]!

Due to school and personal obligations, I've been studying for the LSAT on and off for about a year. I took the LSAT twice, scoring a 162 in June 2020, and then a 164 in August 2020. From November 2020-January 2021, I was PT-ing an average of 164 but with an average BR of 173. After not having studied for about 4 months, I retook the 2007 test and scored a 166 with a BR of 171.

Does anyone have any advice on what my next move should be? I repurchased the 7Sage Ultimate monthly bundle.

Should I be drilling over my problem areas or should I redo or skim the LSAT curriculum as a refresher?

I'm hoping to take the LSAT again either in August 2021 or October 2021.

Thanks!

Hi everyone.

I have been studying diligently for the June LSAT for 2 months now. For some reason, this past week I have not been in the right mindset to study at all. The thought of studying sounded dreadful and I had 0 motivation. The test is next weekend I need to get back into the groove so I can reach my goal score. Any tips for getting back into it?

Thank you!

This might be a dumb question, but at least one with a quick answer! Do we get to use five sheets of scratch paper front and back for the August 2021 test administration? Might we be allowed more because it's four sections and not three?

If we already have a ProctorU account, do we have to use the login credentials that LSAC emailed us with? I already registered for a time slot with the account I already made. Thanks!

Advice

As of today, I changed my LSAT from October to this August. I have been studying about 40 hours per week since May 17th. However, I have only taken the initial diagnostic as a prep test because I had generated a custom study schedule based on having 4 months, which would allow me to complete all of the material provided in 7sage by October.

I received a 151 as my score on my diagnostic, and my goal is a 170. I realize that now, I only have a little over 2 months to raise my score significantly. I have completed half of the C.C. (including every practice set and video, 100hrs of material so far).

How many practice tests would people recommend doing a week if I continue to study about 40 hours a week? I was thinking that I should now focus my time watching lessons over the rest of LR, LG, and RC, applying the techniques in 2-4 of the practice sets in each section, and then be able to move on to solely practice tests and blind review. I would go back and use the practice sets not done to drill the question-types I am getting wrong on the practice tests.

Please let me know if you have any advice!
