This one has thrown me!

I chose A because if the British gov is not forthcoming with secure information, then it would make sense why they were brushing people's requests for info aside & not releasing enough information. Am I misunderstanding the argument here?

Struggling to understand how B strengthens the argument.

I fool proof my games before I move on. I'm just worried that as time goes on I'll forget part of them and they will no longer be fool-proofed.

I fool-proofed some of the games, and I know I can go 24 hours and still keep them fool-proofed. But how long should I wait before I practice them again to ensure they stay fool-proofed?

I know some of you are probably like, "are you serious..." (lol).

I like spaced repetition though I have no idea how long I should space them out for... kinda freaking me out atm hahah.

Any advice? :D

I came across this issue when I was doing June 2020 Section 2 Question 25. I thought unrepresentative sample applied because the sample was on [test subjects before experiments] and the conclusion was on [test subjects after experiments]. But a few people have told me that the "unrepresentative sample" answer choice is only for statistically unrepresentative things, like only interviewing 10 people when the population is 100,000.

Hi everyone,

This may seem kind of dumb so bare with me. I just got an email confirming my LSAT tomorrow and it says I am not allowed to wear any jewellery. This is fine besides the fact that I just got my nose pierced and can not take it out. Does anyone think this will be a problem/has anyone expereinced this rule for in person?

If anyone has any tips on LR, I would appreciate it. I have been studying for about 3 months and have gone through Core Curriculum and several practice tests, I have also went through Ellen Cassidy's Loophole book.

I have consistently drilled around -6 to -10 and would like to get down to -3 to -5 for LR sections. Looking at patterns I do well in Q's 1-10 yet I usually miss 5 or 6 in a row in the back half of the section 17-25.

Any tips would be appreciated!!

Can we drill with PTs on the 7Sage website? I tried to take one section and BR, but I wasn't able to go back and review my answers since I had not completed the rest of the test.

Not sure if I have to get on the LSAC website to do that but my account expired for that site and I'm unsure how to access the PTs on LSAC through my 7Sage account.

Thank you!!

Hi all,

I've created a comprehensive spreadsheet that includes a completion checklist, practice test tracker, problem set tracker, and wrong answer journal. The goal of the completion checklist is to allow for easy goal setting, and for some, scratch a completionist's itch. The problem set tracker allows you to track how many sets you've done and how many times you've taken it. The wrong answer journal is organized in a way that can be easily navigated and hopefully easy to use. I'm planning on using this to stay on track of my study goals and hope it can help some others along the way! To use it, please make a copy of it, and let me know if there's anything I missed or that you would like me to add.

Thank you!

Hi all - Maybe a stupid question here, but for those of us taking the LSAT this weekend at an in-person testing center, we are not required to bring anything beyond our govt ID, login/testing credentials, correct? I assume computers will be provided, along with scratch paper for the applicable sections. Are these correct assumptions? Apologies if these answers are elsewhere, but with this being the first test date under the ProMetric "regime", I figured it would be best to seek clarfication. Best of luck to everyone!

I am taking the LSAT this October. I had a diagnostic of 147, and have been seriously studying since July 2023. My highest score so far is a 159, but my two most recent tests have both been 157s and I haven't seen a score jump in weeks. I am just discouraged, because I want to get a 165+, but it seems my studying has hit a rut, at least when looking at my scores...

I am wondering if it is a good idea to mix up the order of practice tests I take. It seems like the ones at the beginning of the list are all from early years. I am thinking I should take tests that are more recent in order to have them be more similar to the modern day ones.

Hey, y'all! I'm taking the LSAT for the first time this Saturday. Would someone mind explaining the generic structure? I know it's LR, LG, RC and an unscored section, but is there a certain number of passages/games they'll give you for each? Thanks!

I was wondering if there were any tips for how I should be tackling questions and timing in my current progress. I am working through the core curriculum right now and I am noticing that I am quite slow when it comes to answering questions during drills. Should I focus more on process of elimination (takes me longer) or should I focus more on "hunting" for the answer? I do notice that sometimes I am confident with the answer choice I have chosen, but at this stage I am always second guessing myself and it really slows me down.

Hello!

I understand that when doing LG, to help chain up the rules, sometimes you need to contrapose conjunctions and disjunctions ("and" turns into "or," and "or" turns into "and"). However, I'm struggling to remember how the flipping and negating goes. Does anyone have any tips on this?

E.g.

Original: G and S --> /I

Contrapositive: I --> /G or /S

Am I doing this correctly?

OR is it:

/G or /S --> I

(Do we flip conjunctions/disjunctions when contraposing, or just negate?)

Hi everybody! I'm trying to improve my speed on logic games and currently I'm taking about 1.5-2 minutes too long on basic logic games, but I'm within the target time frame for harder logic games. I'm not sure what this means, but maybe I'm taking too long to do the setup for the game? Does anybody else have this problem/have any advice for this? Thanks in advance! :)

First timer, taking LSAT this Friday. I was trying to scheduling LSAT writing, and when I clicked the "Launch LSAT Writing" link from the LSAC website, it redirected me to the Lawhub page. I called both ProctorU and LSAC and neither is helpful. Did anyone run into a similar situation and solve it? Thank you.

If I canceled a previous LSAT score, does the writing still apply? I know it says you only have to do the writing once regardless of how many LSATs you take- just making sure it still applies if I canceled my previous score.

Hi, how often are you guys taking PTs? I am still going through the core curriculum syllabus and have started my studying the end of June this year 2023, and try my best to study throughout the work week. Wondering some thoughts on whether I should be incorporating some PTs weekly even though I am not finished with the core? Any and all thoughts please!
