How are these answers logically different?

If (A) Kangaroos is released earlier than Fiesta, then Kangaroos = 1, Fiesta = 2.

If (E) Kangaroos can be released first, ergo Kangaroos = 1, Fiesta = 2.

The outcomes of both answer choices strikes me as identical.

Let me preface with the fact that I'm SO grateful for my 170 and worked really hard for it! However, given my LSAC GPA (3.73) it looks like I'm still under both medians at most of my top choices/dream schools. I'm already signed up for the November test since I planned to use it as a back-up if things went bad in October. But now I find myself in this awkward place with JUST below median numbers. I guessed on a few questions on the last game of my October test (twas a tough one), which makes me feel like I might've left some points on the table. I'd realistically only be looking to marginally improve to a 171 or 172 (not really shooting for 175+). That being said, who knows, my score could go down.

For context, I'd really like to end up at NYU, Northwestern, Michigan, or Georgetown. I have 3 years of work experience at a law firm, am a first-gen student, my UGPA was a 3.86 because it didn't include study abroad courses (LSAC did), and I think I've got a pretty good personal statement and diversity statement (but so does everybody).

Long story short: to retake or not to retake? Any advice would be helpful, as none of my friends or family understand my dilemma.

On the October LSAT, the duet musicians game at the end of the section destroyed me. Normally LG is my strongest section consistently getting 0 to -2 on my PTs. But, for that game I couldn't solve it and ended up randomly guessing for the last 3 questions.

Can anyone recommend challenging games similar to that one from prior PTs? Thank you.

I almost completely gave up after getting a lower score my second time around but am so happy I got over it and decided to give this test another shot, test anxiety definitely got to me on the second writing. Is it ok to email the school and tell them to use my Oct LSAT score even if they explicitly say that they will consider your application as incomplete if you're registered to take a future LSAT? Because my Oct score is enough for their school, but I'm also trying to get a better score for some other schools...

I am on the verge of freaking out because the GPA LSAC generated is so much lower than what I ended up with when I graduated. I went to community college before transferring and I had to retake several classes because I was still a child who wanted to hang out with my friends more than study if you know what I mean... When I graduated from my university I had a 3.69, but LSAC generated a GPA of 3.19... I can't find any straight answers on whether or not law schools will be placing a lot of weight on the LSAC generated number.

Which GPA do they really care about?

Help! Now I'm so terrified. I had always considered my GPA to be "safe" for where I was applying, but now I don't even know anymore....

After PTing in the low to mid 160s, even a couple high 160's on my last 20 PT's, I have now failed to break 150 on both August and October LSAT. At this point i've lowered my test goal to a 154-155. I'm registered and scheduled to take my test in November but this would be the last test I am allowed to take until August 2022 due to lsac's rules. I am confused as to why this keeps happening especially when I felt so much more confident after my October test than august but I managed to score below my diagnostic score. Do I defer to January 2022 test or is that too late for this cycle?

Writing in here to see if anyone has any advice for making gains on RC - Reading Comp:

I'm taking the November test as my last session before applying, and have not been able to figure out how to improve on RC. On average, I score perfect on Logic Games, and I average 1-3 wrong on LR; which are immense improvements from my original diagnostic range of -4 and -8. For RC however, my gains are not where I would like them to be. I started out in the 8-12 range (terrible I know) and have been able to trim that down to 4-7. Although I have made some solid progress, it just seems like i'm missing something on RC and this is costing me a T-14 score. For LG/LR, when I get a question wrong, it's almost always due to a mistake that I am able to recognize and internalize. I am also able to address the areas that I struggle with, and can address them accordingly. For RC, I realize that there are a couple questions on RC that will simply be too difficult for me to get right. However, my issue is that I continue to miss out on questions that are 50/50, and seem to be making a lot of the same mistakes on the same question types, even after Blind Reviewing for hours. After almost two years of practice, my time spent on passages has barely improved. I average almost 4-5 minutes on the passage, use the highlight functions to a large extent, and occasionally jot down Low-Res summaries for paragraphs.

At this point, i'm not sure if I can say that my issue is a practice thing. I just wish there was some way I could hone in on RC through some supplemental means, resources, courses, books, or exercises that could give me some tips and pointers.

If anyone has any advice that helped them improve on RC, any supplemental resources that they could recommend, or a general diagnosis for my situation, I would appreciate it tremendously.

I applied to 18 schools for this cycle and just sent my last one in yesterday. I have already received a "your application is complete email" from all of the schools, and some have already gone under review (some of the apps I sent in September and were on hold until the October LSAT scores went out). Has anyone received a decision this cycle? If so from what school?

I was wondering if law schools keep track of attendance at info sessions and/or use data mining to track demonstrated interest. Long story short, I registered for a virtual info session but had a last-minute emergency and couldn't attend - could this affect my chances when I apply? Not sure if I should send an email to admissions explaining my absence.

Logged into ProctorU to schedule the November test. Only available slots for any of the days appear to be before...8am eastern time.

Great, so now I have to ask my entire household to get up early on a Sunday and get out of the house before 7:50am (which already sucks because I always PT better later in the day and wanted to take the test early afternoon) all because of this awesome examination system we all pay out the butt to enjoy.

I know, I know, I assume the November test is more subscribed than the others due to admission cycles. But, holy crap! I'd understand if I'd left it late but, dude, the scheduling only opened checks calendar today?? I got the email reminder at lunchtime while I was at work. God only knows what scheduling options there would be left for someone who had the audacity to wait a couple days...

Ah it's whatever but after the sheer nightmare of October's exam, this leaves a really sh*tty taste.

Random question. Do law school applicants who only take the GRE send a GRE addendum to law school programs? Or in other words, do law school admissions staff accept GRE addendum materials?

Hello, I'm taking the November LSAT which is just over two weeks away -- at what point did this section click and what advice would you give to get to that point? I used to think about LR as distinct question types but the past month or so I've noticed that almost all question types have similar patterns in their flaws (if argument-based). During BR I'm missing 2-3 but during timed sessions still missing about 7. Any advice for getting around not seeing the arguments clearly during timed practices? Sometimes there are stimuli that I just don't understand when timed but when I BR, it's like DUH! Of course! Any advice getting around that? Advice regarding timing for both LR and RC would be appreciated also. Thank you!

Scheduling window seems open for November LSAT. ProctorU allows scheduling now. I was expecting it to be available at noon per LSAC's email.

Hi everyone!

Second time writer here (first exam was January 2021). I scheduled my November exam this morning, but for some reason the ProctorU countdown timer has added an additional hour from the actual time I picked. The correct time zone is showing on the scheduled date and time, it is just the timer that is off. From my previous experience with ProctorU in January, I am aware that once the timer runs out, you can start the check in process for your exam.

I tried to chat with a live agent about this to fix the timer but they told me to simply check back 2 days prior to the exam.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Thank you!

Hey yall! I have a 3.8low GPA and 175+ LSAT trying to get into SLS (and other t14s). 3.8low is a relatively good GPA, but it is still under many T14 medians. I honestly don't really have an excuse for some of my lower grades besides the fact that I did a bit of experimenting when I didn't know what I wanted to major in and got a few lower than ideal grades in math/sciencey courses. Is it stupid to ask them to please notice that my grades trended very high near the end of my undergrad career as I found what I wanted to major in or would they notice from my transcript? I guess my question is whether they will look hard at the transcript if my GPA is pretty good already (but not good enough to be at their medians). Thanks everyone ! Was averaging 168 a month out before the October exam and got a 158, worse than any PT I had taken after September began. I quickly cancelled since I was lucky enough to buy score preview, but I am very humbled right now. Going to keep working hard for November and possibly January for my goal score of 170, but I'm fighting inner dialogue that I'm not capable of reaching my goal. For any of you who underperformed in this iteration: I genuinely empathize with you and am sorry that you're going through the motions of processing that right now. We just have to stay true to the grind, take care of ourselves, and live to see another LSAT :)

Hi all! I hope everyone is kicking ass and making headway in slaying the formidable beast that is this exam! I have an application question that I'm hoping someone could shed some light on. Right now, I have a 166, a solid score, but I feel I can pull a 169 or 170 on the January test with a couple of months more of prep. In addition, I'm a non-traditional splitter plagued by 3 F's from my freshman year of college seven years ago. Since returning to college, I have brought my GPA to a 3.27 and will have a 3.4 by late December when the fall semester ends. Should I wait to submit my applications until I have the 3.4 and possibly the 169/170 from the January test? Or, should I submit my apps with the hope of getting waitlisted instead of rejected, and then have the opportunity later of showing them the improved stats to hopefully take me off of it?

Any feedback would be great!

Thank you 7sage. I began studying for this test in March 2020 and can finally say I am done with it in October 2021.

I began with a diagnostic of 148. I took the test in June and got a 159, but knowing I had more potential stuck to studying for the Oct LSAT. I was so close to the median for a lot of great schools and knew I could increase my odds by a lot just by raising my score a little bit more. I ended with a 163 this October. I know it’s not a 175 like many people strive for, but for me the 15 point increase and 40 point percentile increase is more than enough to be proud of. I am confident in my ability to get into some amazing schools with this score. 7sage is what got me over the hump and I’m forever grateful.

For those who got their score back and are realizing that their LSAT journey isn’t over, you got this. There were weeks and months I thought I would never break 155. I truly believed I had reached my peak 7 months ago. Remember what you’re studying for- the reason you are going to law school in the first place. We put in the hard work now so that we can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives later on.

While a 163 may seem like nothing special, I fought so hard for it and I’m extremely proud of myself and this community.
