hey so I have taken about 3 PT's over that past two weeks and my PT score as well as my BR score have been the same consistently. I was wondering what are some studying tips or ways that people are using in between PT's in order to increase your score. any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I need your best tips on how to complete the LR!! I practice and practice and still cannot get them right! Thank you.
Can your diversity statement be about work experience? I am a visible minority, but i would rather write about the unique perspective that my job (management consulting) has given me.
If the school doesn't specify except that one page is typically sufficient for supplemental essays, is it okay to write one page single-spaced? Then should I single-space my personal statement to have consistent formatting? Thanks in advance!
Hi guys,
I have written on these discussion boards a few times. I am applying to Canadian law schools this November.I finished writing my personal statement. I was wondering if someone could have a look at it and give some feedback. Someone who is good at personal statements. I can also do personal statements swap.
Thanks

Thanks everyone for your interest! I've connected with someone.
The study buddy feature is not working for me for some reason so I thought I would post here. If you are studying for the October/November test, scoring in the 150s or low 160s and looking for a free tutor please message me. I am also preparing for the October test (and registered for November) so it will be a good way for me to both share and strengthen the strategies that have helped me.
I am consistently going -4 to -2 in RC, -6 to -2 in LR, and -3 to -0 in LG. Also, I prefer to meet in person so if you are in or near Chicago and its north suburbs please let me know!
In his video on EC, JY discusses the example A ----> (B---> C), where the embedded part is second, and it becomes A + B ----> C. But what if the embedded conditional is first [(A--->B) ----> C], what would the mechanical rule be then? Do we say that A----> B + C?

Hi Guys I am organizing an in person weekend meetup study group. Please message if you are interested.
I did not take the September test but I did take the July undisclosed test and have done the late 80s tests. I feel like some of the old school elements are starting to reappear so the older test may be more important than they used to be and especially since I here that the recent test logic games had a circle game and a misc game.
On some of the late 80s test, I have noticed a bit of a resurgence in lawgic that dissipated in the 50s 60s and 70s. Also, reading comprehension, I think they have brought back the old trick of making the 2nd passage the hardest or at least be open that this might be the case. So if the 2nd passage seems insanely hard, don't let it throw you. And from what I am hearing, September logic games were difficult, and it sounds like the logic games are reminiscent the 20s, especially late 20s.
Also, they brought back the misc. game in the late 70s early 80s but wasn't on 87 or July but I think people said there was one on 88.
There is also the annoying trend on parallel reasoning where all the answer choices are on the same topic, I don't know when this started but I fear it's not going away.
Anybody notice anything?
I am planning to attend the New York LSAC forum next weekend and while on the east coast I want to visit schools. How should I approach emailing schools regarding meeting representatives at the forum but also in the following week with a visit?
Also, should I contact other schools of interest letting them know I am attending the forum?
Thanks in advance for any insight on forums/school visits.

I picked D and confirmed myself in review.
The conclusion of the argument seem to be that watching network TV increases tendency to think of public issues in simple terms as compared to newspaper reading.
A is the credited answer. But even if one were to read the paper AND watch TV news, it is still the case that TV news programs make that person think about issues on simple terms? Doesn't it affirm the conclusion that people watch TV news for a simple view on an issue and than read the papers for the "full" view on it?
I really don't get why A is credited over D.
The primary objection to TV news is that it's over in 30 seconds using slogans, that's why it is "simplifying" our thinking. But if TV news devote equal time discussing multiple view points, then doesn't this weaken the conclusion? It suggest that since we learn about the opposing views, it can no longer be said that the TV watcher's understanding of the issue is simple.

Hi everyone,
7Sage editor Daniel Castro traveled to the Dominican Republic to write about Red Sox legend David Ortiz and the shooting that nearly cost him his life and placed him at the center of a national crisis. Check it out!

Hello,
Im looking for study partners in the Phoenix, AZ area. I usually study at the Burton Barr library downtown Phoenix, it would be nice to work through problems with a group or individual. Anyone interested?
Hello fellow Sagers! I'm looking for some extremely honest advice as I have just hit (and actually surpassed) my goal score for the very first time and am wondering if I should keep my scheduled test date for October 2019?
Few things to consider: I surpassed my score even with missing 5 points on LG. I am really hoping that by the end of this month, I will be missing no points in this section and thus, will be scoring even higher. I would definitely love recommendations for how to ensure I perfect LG's in this short amount of time.
Secondly, this was on PT 60. I've read many times that older PT's are easier/different from newer ones so I am wondering if this score is even representative of my actual improvement. I took pretty much all of the most recent ones in preparation for my last LSAT sitting in June so I am not sure if I should begin redoing those most recent ones now or if I should keep taking the older ones that I've never seen before. I am on the 7Sage starter so most of my practice tests are in the 40's range and I have seen pretty much everything 65 & above from my previous LSAT prep with Kaplan (prior to June).
Any advice would be extremeeely appreciated!! Thanks in advance & Happy studying all.
I have worked on my PS for several weeks now and am struggling to get it under three pages without removing anything that I feel is vital to the overall story. Is there anyone that would be willing to read it and maybe give me some pointers on where I can edit or rework to help make it a little shorter? I would love to help provide fresh eyes to any essays as well! I was a creative writing minor but writing an autobiographical narrative with this much pressure just hits different lol.
I began studying over a year ago using Khan Academy and then Powerscore with a diagnostic of 148. After getting a 151 and 152 on the March 2018 and the July 2018 LSAT's I decided to commit to 7Sage curriculum. I feel like I have learned a lot more and have a deeper understanding of logic and its principals. But I have now taken 5 practice tests and gotten 149s and 150s for all of them. I think I'm following JYs method of flagging any questions I'm not 100% about. Taking my time to BR. And then watching the explanation videos and reading comments not he ones I still miss or wasn't entirely sure why it was right. My BR is usually low 160s. So I understand that my knowledge has improved but its not translating to my time scores. Is it normal to not see improvement until I've taken more practice tests? Is there something I am not doing in my studying that could help me improve? I'm feeling discouraged. I am planning on taking the LSAT in October.
Hey 7Sagers!
Interesting question that I thought I'd present to the forum: I attended undergrad in the SEC and held several leadership positions within my fraternity. Greek life is huge in the SEC (my chapter had 200+ members), and is generally considered more than a means to party (operating budget of $500k+, annual philanthropic fundraising of $20k+, organizing volunteer hours, etc.). I am wondering how others feel about even including Greek life on a law school resume. Fraternities specifically have gotten a lot of negative press in recent years, and I'm wondering if including a bullet on my fraternity would be a net positive on my law school resume.
Also for context: I have been working since graduating in May 2018, was involved elsewhere on campus, and have plenty of other content I can use within my resume. Just curious if others think that including Greek life as a single bullet point would be a net positive. Would love to hear others' thoughts even if not specific to my situation!
Thanks guys!
I've been studying for the Nov LSAT for about 2 months now with basically no improvement on my score--my initial PT was 159, then dropped to 151, 160, 161, and then 157. I'm super confused as to why this is happening and wondering if anyone has tips on how to be more diligent when studying or has had the same thing happen to them. I've been working through the core curriculum and BR every test
Hey all I’m studying for the LSAT averaging a 140 pretty low I know but I know I can get up to at least a 150. Do you think that achievable for the October test and if not the November test? If so any tips? My issue is focus and the LR section
Hello All,
Just wrapped up week 2 of CC and I've come up to the Prep Test for June 2007 (optional diagnostic). I was wondering if anyone had skipped it and learned all of the CC first .....or if it is recommended to take right now even before learning about the other question types on the test. Thoughts?
Thanks!
Are you all still taking a break or gearing up for a retake in October and/or November?
So I started studying for the LSAT back in June of this year, and have been making progress in everything but Reading Comprehension. I usually score -11 or -12 on it pretty consistently in my PTs. What are some studying techniques that helped you guys out with bringing up your Reading Comprehension score?
the question is from PT86-s1, could anyone help me to explain differences between the two?
Hi everyone!
I've missed chatting with you guys and seeing what's happening in 7sage-land. I'm now 4 weeks into the mire of 1L at Northwestern, currently in the library catching up on contracts reading and working on a legal writing assignment. Don't be too jealous of my awesome Saturday plans lol. Thought I'd pop in and say hi - feel free to distract me from my mundane afternoon and ask me any questions about 1L, Northwestern, admissions, or anything you think I could offer any insight to! But, obviously, don't ask me about exams because I haven't taken any yet lol. But especially if y'all have any questions about NU I'd be happy to answer them. Suffice it to say, I'm extraordinarily happy with my decision to come here (though still pretty shocked that they let me in, tbh haha). I really love the school, and am happy to make my sales pitch if anyone is interested.
Hope you guys are well, keep on grinding for those working on the LSAT! The pay off is so worth it. Keep your chin up and channel your inner Moira Rose:
