Hi! My main struggle is the reading comp section- likely because I suffer from ADHD. The syllabus appears to not have much on reading comprehension unfortunately, so I have a few questions.

  • Does it help a lot to do the reasoning sections in the syllabus before? I am not struggling with that section but maybe it teaches things that help later on with the reading comp?
  • Does anyone have any advice about getting increased scores in this section?
  • are there any free websites or resources that help with this?
  • thank you

I'm planning on writing in November after the LSAT goes fully digital and I was curious about what kind of tablet LSAC provided. Was the screen resolution quality good? Was the tablet attached to a desk or were you able to move it around? Did you have any problems during the test (technical or comfort related)?

    Thanks!

I just discovered the blog and it seems to have tons of interesting articles.

But I find that it has a really annoying layout. It would be nice if you can see the article titles all at once instead of having to scroll through every article page after page, or even to filter articles by category.

I was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this, or if there are any plans to organize it?

I'm about 90% done the Ultimate course and decided to do a PT yesterday because I was getting tired of watching videos and doing practice sets, and I can't believe I got 177 as an actual score!! Didn't change any answers for the blind review so the score is the same. It was for Prep Test #36 which is the first one I've done since starting the course 2 months ago.

Before starting the course, I got 163 on the June 2007 test and then 164 on PT54 so I feel like it's a huge improvement! Granted I've done some studying in the past (2 months in 2017) so I wasn't taking the previous PTs blind.

Still in shock because I felt like there were so many hard questions that I wasn't sure about but this is such a huge confidence boost, so I wanted to share my happiness and encourage everyone to get the course if you haven't already. Happy studying!!

I'm taking the test in September, and I'm trying to really crack down so I can break my plateau and increase to where I want to be. It always helps to talk out certain questions and discuss study methods and techniques, so if anyone is in Orange County and wants to meet up, or would be down to work on certain problem sets & then discuss, let me know!

    Hi everyone.

I am needing some advice on how to improve reading comp. To give you an idea of where I am in my prep, here is the breakdown of my last PT:

    LR: -4

    LR: -6

    LG: -3

    RC: -12

It's pretty clear to me where I need to be focusing most of my energy. I have another full year before I am going to take the test (if I need to stretch my test date out). I have also gone through the curriculum trying to employ JY's memory method and drilling older PT RC sections, and the LSAT trainer's "reading for reasoning structure" method. Additionally, most of the time I am rushing to finish the last passage. No strategy or drilling has resulted in a significant jump thus far.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to give me any advice on this section. It really has discouraged me, since employing the blind review method and drills have immensely helped my LR score, and fool-proofing is of course the component behind my LG score. I just feel helpless when it comes to making a significant improvement in RC, but there has to be some main strategy to address the section with.

The LSAT question bank is no longer showing up under "Resources" on the website or mobile app. Is this no longer going to be a function on 7Sage? I found it really helpful to sort by question type and difficulty. Instead I only see "LSAT Explanations" which... I think is new, but not sure.

    Thanks all!

I've taken 16 PTS so far with an average score of 164. I started out with a diagnostic of 159, and have managed to pretty consistently score in the mid-160 range. However, one practice test I took (PT48) I scored a 172 and that has been my highest score to date. On logical reasoning, on average I'm missing 4 questions, on logic games 6 questions, and on reading comprehension 5 questions. I'm unclear as to my best plan of action for the next couple weeks leading up to the September LSAT. Should I focus on logic games, getting that to a minus 0 before focusing on the other sections? Or should I continue to PT once/twice a week while drilling (mainly logic games) in between?

I am scheduled to take the November LSAT and need advice on when I should start taking timed sections. I get majority of the questions right without the time constraint but as soon as I try to take a timed section I psych myself out. Also, how many PT's should I be taking starting now up until November?

I have been using the 7sage iOS app for quite some time, however when I went to check the grader section it automatically makes the app crash. I tried to delete and re-downlod the app and the same issue persists. Everything else except the grader works. I am confused as I was using the grader function just fine up until yesterday. Has anyone else experienced this same issue and/or know why this is the case?

Hey all - anyone want to clarify if scratch paper will be available for LR come September? Or is it only available for LG? Sometimes I still have to diagram out the logic and am a little worried.

    Thanks!

Is it a glitch that the timer stops until you press "okay" for the 5 min left... I looked down for a few minutes to do game board preps. When I looked up it said that there was 5 minutes left and the timer stopped. Is this a glitch? Or is this going to be how it is on the actual LSAT? Bc... if thats the case, then you could theoretically get more than 35 minutes on the LSAT....

Could somebody explain to me why the correct answers are correct for questions 7, 18, and 25?

    Why is 7 (e) instead of (b), why is 18 (d) instead of (c), and why is 25 (b) ?

    Appreciate any help, thanks

    Hi everyone,

We've updated our law school admissions predictor with data from the 2018–2019 cycle.

You should interpret these predictions with a grain of salt. If law schools admitted students by algorithm, they wouldn't be paying admissions officers to read files. Our predictor is best used to ballpark your chances so that you can apply to a spread of reach, target, and safety schools.

  • Hi everyone,

On Wednesday, August 7, at 9:00 PM ET, I'll host a webinar with our own Brigitte Suhr, a former admissions reader at The University of Virginia Law School. We'll discuss what Brigitte did, when she gave a file with low numbers extra consideration, and how the files she saw could have been stronger. You’ll get a chance to ask your questions at the end.

:warning: You’ll have to register for this webinar in advance.

:cookie: After the webinar, we’ll award one attendee a free Edit Once (see https://classic.7sage.com/admissions/enroll).

:warning: The webinar will be recorded, and we may post it on our site or on YouTube. We may also share the audio on our podcast.

→ Please register for the webinar here: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/abbf19fc6d3f41f666858a512be5123a
