Hi, I won't disclose which school I was talking to for the sake of their privacy. However, I will disclose the questions I asked in hopes it will benefit someone else.

The questions were asked and answered in the following order:

Does my resume make my application look competitive?

A. We won't look at resumes and make that predetermination.

Would a high LSAT score offset a low GPA? (Mine was around a 3.5)

A. It could - we look at the overall applicant, not just one factor.

Is there preference for veterans or disabled people?

A. This could add to your diversity as an applicant.

What is the application process and how selective is "X clinic?"

A. Each clinic has its own application process and each accepts a different number of students.

What are some Intellectual Property career paths graduates have taken?

A. Graduates take a very diverse path.

Can an applicant take the LSAT too many times?

A. The admissions officer laughed and suggested that more than 4 LSATs would reflect poorly, but did not give an affirmative yes or no. The officer did say it would not necessarily be a disadvantage to take the test many times but the success would be devalued after about 4+ attempts.

What do most students do in the summer?

A. They do internships all over the world.

What traits make students at your school stand out?

A. Dedication and being proactive in their education and in giving back to their school.

I hope this helps! All the best.

Hello, I am currently registered for the September 2019 LSAT and was wondering which course would be recommended. I took the Sept. 2018 LSAT and scored a 164, and am currently testing in the mid to high 160s. However, I am trying to lock in a score above 170. Do you guys recommend one course over the other or anything specific that I should be doing to get my score into that range? Appreciate any help in can get.

Apologies if this has been answered previously - if so, please feel free to smack me around and direct me to the correct thread!

Is there a way to launch 7sage's digital test taking simulator to re-take sections for PTs I've previously completed (ie, to foolproof previously completed games)? I know I can print them out, but I'd much rather foolproof via the digital tool; I'm also trying to avoid just deleting all of my analytics.

Thanks!

Hi! I took the LSAT in January 2019 and scored a 156 . I was a nervous wreck about logic games but I tried my best. I ended up on 6 waitlists at t20s (I knew it was a long shot) and was ultimately rejected from all but 2, which I have not heard from yet. I’ve been studying for a retake and am very scared that my score won’t improve by much due to my inability to finish a LG section. I’m gonna buckle down but there’s a chance that I won’t be prepared by September to retake the LSAT (if my score doesn’t improve a ton). I’ll be out of the country starting in mid-october for work so the more attractive alternative is to wait until January when I can travel to Europe from Africa for the retake since coming to the US for the November LSAT would be cost prohibitive and draining (although I’m willing to make sacrifices if it comes down to it). I’m mulling over these options and wonder what I should do: register for the September LSAT and try my best? Or wait until January to retake? How much of a disadvantage would I be in if I apply late in the cycle versus applying earlier with a potentially weaker score? Do you think there’s still time to turn things around for a marked score improvement by September? Should I submit my apps in the fall no matter what? Etc etc. Sorry for being long winded but these questions are driving me nuts; please help!

Is there a way to access all my starred questions together, instead of clicking into each practice exam? Was marking questions up while going through the core curriculum and I wonder if there is a quick way to access all of them besides the LSAT explanations page. Thank you!

Hello! I graduated from college in May of 2017 and will be applying to law school this coming fall.

Right now I have one academic and one professional recommendation secured. However, in reviewing the requirements for the schools I plan to apply to, I see some schools strongly prefer two academic references unless one has been out of school and working "for some time" or a "significant amount of time" or "several years". I don't find these requirements to be super clear, and am wondering if anyone has any insight as to when one academic and one professional letter is appropriate. What do schools typically consider as "some time"?

I am considering asking for a second academic letter but am not sure if that is necessary given that when I am applying I will have been in the workforce for 2.5 years.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I am finishing up my application for my 1st choice school. Please keep in my mind, my 1st choice school is really the only option I am considering due to the location, owning a home, my significant other's career, etc. Also, it is not a top school by any means and I am well above their top GPA and predict I will be above their top LSAT. However, I am trying to put together the best application package I can because without scholarships, it would not be financially reasonably for me to quit my career and attend. All of that being said, there is a "public service addendum" option to complete. I have been a police officer for 5 years and that is my current career. Should I list my accomplishments in public service as a police officer or is this referring to public service in a volunteer compacity? I appreciate any guidance anyone can offer.

Thank you!!

Amanda C.

I am looking for study advice. I just graduated from University with a quite a high GPA and am looking for a goal score of 168+

I started the core curriculum on June 5th ish. I have been studying since then, for about 3-5 hours every single day. I didnt take a cold diagnostic, I took the june 2007 free test after finishing the core curriculum, scoring a 156.

Since then, I have taken 3 practice tests, all under strict timed conditions. I scored 162 on the PT 36. I scored 163 on PT 52. And a 165 on PT 38. So in total, I have been studying for close to two months. I am wondering where to go from here. I am planning on taking the October Test, but am willing to wait a full year and study full time and take the test in 2020 if it means I can possibly get a higher score.

3 main questions:

Should I increase my studying time? I can do 5-6 consistently every day. It seems that 3-5 has been working well but I can definitley increase it.

How should I really study? Currently Im just doing 2 timed sections a day plus BR. Or sometimes Ill do a full PT worth of sections in a day then review it the next day. Sometimes, and I know this is bad, ill just do random stuff... I also try to do as much LG as possible, since Ive only finished the games from 1-10 plus whatever Practice tests ive done.

Lastly, is a 170 possible within 3 months? Im not familiar with score increases. Assuming im about a 160-163 right now,can I go 7-10 points in 3 months? Or should I prolong the test to next year?

I don't understand how the July 15 takers are supposed to get a free retake in September if the cancel options is not available yet and we cant see our scores until the 28th of August to see if we want to keep or cancel? Am I missing something? Can anyone please clarify?

Hello all,

I just signed up for 7Sage ultimate a few days ago. I've been studying for about 8-9 weeks now for the LSAT and have improved from my diagnostic of 140 to a 164 average. I noticed when signing up that there are study guides. I am taking the October LSAT and signed up for the study guide for October. Should I complete all of the core curriculum and should I finish the core curriculum before starting PT's?

So far, I have watched the videos about making low res summaries for each paragraph, and I have also watched the RC question webinar. I have also been drilling passages from PT 40-49 untimed. On harder passages that is convoluted I end up missing 3 or 4 questions, and on the easier passages I end up missing 1. Can anyone provide their RC strategies that has helped them?

Hello Everyone! I will be entering my Junior year this semester. I have not taken any LSAT prep tests before. I recently received the notification about registering for the LSAT coming up in September. I am wondering whether I should keep studying, and finishing my course with 7sage prior taking my first LSAT test, or take this LSAT and prepare to sign up for more after I finish this course.

Thank you any feedback, it is highly appreciated!

Hi, I took the LSAT in February and got 153. My weakest section was by far were the games. I barely finished the questions and guessed at least half the questions.

I am planning to take the September LSAT and am trying to figure out if I should take a course or if I should just use the powerscore bible and keep practicing. I have a limited time as I work during the day so wanted to see how others tackled the games and their study schedule. Any suggestions, especially since it's now digital?

Also, is there a way to sign up for just the logic games lessons for the course on 7 sage?

Hi all!

I'm currently studying to take the September or October LSAT. I need advice on which one is better to take! I am a senior in college and trying to study. I am not scoring where I want to right now, but I know I have about 8 or 9 weeks until the September LSAT. My thought process is that if I take the Sept LSAT, and don't perform as well as I want, I have can take the November LSAT. Which one do you think I should go with?

Thanks for all the help :)

Hi everyone,

The July test is my first LSAT test. I’m debating over whether I should registered the September test or should I waited to just take the October test with a canceled score for my July test ( I don’t think I will be happy with my July score and more than likely I need to retake anyways). Giving the consideration that the September test is less 10 weeks from now, would it be a wiser choice for me to just wait for the release of July score, then canceled. Or is it better for me to go head and take the September test and hoping I don’t need to take the October test?

I’m currently scoring between 155 to 160 range and is hoping to apply for this coming application season.

Thanks for all your help!

What is the best approach to doing logic games during blind review?

When I started PTs I was doing foolproof drills (isolating each game to work on getting it under target time and then checking for accuracy until target time is reached or under target time and game is at 100% accuracy). In other words, I'm checking for both time and accuracy (so I basically foolproof them until I have the correct Acs and enter an LG Blind Review score of -0). However, I'm wondering if that is not okay and/or does not make for an accurate representation of my blind review score and/or my strengths/weaknesses in LG.

Would it be better to:

A) Aim for accuracy: do the entire section untimed and enter blind review answer choices (without checking for correct answers until after blind review score is shown)

B) Aim for target time/under target time: isolate each game, look up the target time for each game via 7Sage and do the game until it is on or under target time and enter blind review answer choices (without checking for correct answers until after blind review score is shown)

C) Do what I already do?

I am trying to get an accurate representation of my blind review score but that could mean - 0 or - X amount depending on what method I choose. I also want to get the most out of my blind reviews of my PTd LGs.

Hey 7Sagers, I'm leading BR calls for PT 87 (June 2019 LSAT).

There will be twelve sessions total.

All sessions will be from 9 - 11pm ET. Please see detailed schedule below.

What happens in these sessions?

For RC, we'll read the passage together, paragraph by paragraph. I'll ask you to make low resolution summaries of each paragraph. We'll use those low res summaries to build higher resolution summaries. Then, we'll answer the questions together. For LR, I'll ask you to state which questions were circled for BR. We'll work through the questions the group nominates.

How should I prepare?

Have a clean, unmarked copy of the PT ready in front of you so we can read and answer the questions together. Please wear headphones and try to be in a quiet place.

Hey everyone this probably one of the most repetitive questions you all might see on the fourm.

So I finished CC probably in February (a year before I had run through it once but never really PTd) and I started to just practice some problem sets and RC passages and had to take a break for about a month due to finishing up my courses. My goal and what I need is between a 161-165.

I just need someone to help me organize a study schedule and advise me on how to study as I do find 7sage daunting but helpful!

Looking to work with an online study buddy in prep for Oct., Also open to a small study group, maybe 3 people max.

Currently scoring in 160s, aiming for 170. Would like to work with someone/people in a similar or higher score range to talk strategies and thought processes, bounce ideas and questions off of each other, etc.

Also, I'd be interested in regularly answering questions from someone who's driven and scoring below the 150s.

Thanks!

So I completed the LSAT Trainer on my own and thought, maybe I should do 7sage since it gets all these great reviews and it seemed like a great investment. But I found out that I can get all the LG videos for free and I can still use other aspects of the website without having to spend a dime...my question is it worth going through 7Sage curriculum if I've completed the LSAT Trainer since so far it seems very similar as it is in fact the same guy who wrote the book (JY).

Hope this doesn't offend anyone, I just honestly didn't realize there would be a similarity in the course and to anyone that's done both I was wondering if I maybe made a mistake? Thanks!

Edit: Alright Thanks for all the responses I will take it into consideration I have 2 weeks left before refund runs out. Thanks again!
