There is an admissions seminar with an admissions dean (!!) on Thursday, August 16 @ 9 pm ET: https://7sage.com/discussion/#/discussion/17211/webinar-with-uci-admissions-dean-jay-austin-thursday-aug-16-9-p-m-et
The poll will be open until Wednesday, August 15, 6 pm ET. That way people will know at least 24 hours ahead of time the scheduled call.

(How it feels to avoid attractive trap answer choices)
If you are done the curriculum or almost done the curriculum, join us when you can. We welcome people in all stages of prep. The point of the group is to get your lsat nerd on with other like-minded people and make the process more fun. Expand your thinking and learning by interacting with others! For my fellow shy-people, everyone is going to be focused on their own answers/questions that I guarantee you they will not be judging you based on mispronounced words, reading-speed, etc. It's all for fun!
Note: Take the PT under timed conditions; BR to the best of your abilities; join us for all or part of the call! For the purposes of the group please don't check the answers beforehand. If you happen to know the answer, keep it to yourself, and win the argument using your reasoning. Also, please don't go "so I know the answer is C but I don't know why B is wrong?" as the purpose is so that we all collaborate on improving our reasoning skills.
Enter the questions you wish to go over on the spreadsheet below! Write your name beside the question(s) you wish to cover, if the question(s) you want to cover are already marked by someone else, add your name! The more discussion, the merrier.

actually i take my vote back friday is better...
Sorry, everyone! I'll have to miss this week...family reunion in Vancouver!
@"paulmv.benthem" I have a little study group going in Vancouver if you want to write PTs with us
Hi all! I'm taking the September test, and I just heard about this study group. How do I join in?
@knisskat94 hey! Basically, I just add you to the list. As you can see, we are doing pt 81 this week, we are just deciding on what day and time because of possible conflictions. You take the PT on your own, timed and mimicking test day conditions, and blind review (BR) it to the best of your abilities before our session. I will update the post on Wednesday evening with a google spreadsheet where people write down the questions they want to blind review with the group and we review them together. Historically, we usually just do the first section of LR during these meetings and have a private session sometimes for the second LR section. We use go to meeting for the platform, and you basically just hit the link i provide. I usually post these details but with the polling and stuff I didn't want it to get too cluttered. Let me know if you have any other questions
@"paulmv.benthem" we'll miss you! Are you guys going to conquer the escape rooms in every province?
@"Mia Fairweather" I'll keep one vote in mind for Friday. Which time?
Also, I just realized that my poll has a cookie-cutter flaw in it! Just because Thursday might get the majority of votes it doesn't mean that more people voted for it since Friday is split into two options. To remedy this, I will take into account the total amount of votes for Thursday and combine the two Friday's. If Friday was voted for the most then I will choose Friday, if Thursday beats out the two Friday's then Thursday will be chosen. Are there are any objections or alternate solutions to this flaw?
The poll is like a jungle primary! Also love your gif as always.
I am quite new to this website and forums. Can you explain to me what is going on with the study group and how to join?
Finally finished my review of CC (second time's the charm?) and feel more confident in LG. I'll be on this week's call, thank you for tagging!
@jprifitera Hey there! So basically the purpose of these study groups is to review questions as a group. It's a great way to guage your reasoning and compare it to others, to see whether you are reasoning logically or not. The purpose of blind review is that you review the test after you take it but before you check your scores to see what you got wrong, hence the term blind. You are reviewing, presumably, without prejudice and without a sense of pride or ego in terms that 'oh i got it wrong initially but since I know I got it wrong, I know which would've been my second answer choice.' You review every question that you felt unsure about by writing down or typing out your reasoning for why you think each of the four wrong answers are wrong and why the correct answer is right. You do this for two purposes: (1) if you are corerct then you are able to enforce the right reasoning; (2) if you are incorrect, then you have the wrong reasoning in front of you, typed out as proof, so you have to let go of it.
After you conduct your own review, you join the group and we discuss any questions that gave us a lot of trouble. This can be questions where even after conducting your own review you're stuck between two answer choices or where you've eliminated four wrong answer choices but you can't quite reason why the remaining answer choice is right. By implementing the blind review method, your approach to the test centers around demistifying it. There are a lot of patterns that emerge in terms of 'cookie-cutter' structure, and by reviewing with others, you are able to learn new strategies, concepts, and make some friends in the process. Joining the group is fairly simple, I just add you to the list and tag you. You take the PT before the date of the group, review it on your own, and then join the group as we review together
@scales_of_j look forward to having you there!
Sorry I've been absent from the last few calls! I've gotten a bit off track with my studying. #rip I've decided to push back to November but I wish you guys the best with September!!
For anyone that floundered with that Eileen Gray passage, here's some visuals
@xtinextine miss you, take your time girl and good luck with November !
Thank you so much for organizing the BR and for the reminders @keets993! Apologies for not being able to join the BR.I didn't feel ready and I decided to postpone. Good luck, I know you'll do great!!
Don't apologize @"Beast Mode" I'm glad you're staying true to yourself and your potential by postponing!

Eileen Gray passage?! Did I do the wrong PT? I did PT 81 which I thought was June 2017?
@kragdar2000 no no 81 is the correct one. Eileen Gray passage popped in the last one we did, 79, and since we don't get time to do RC and thats an infamously difficult passage, I shared it to help people better visualize for next time or something.
ah, phew, thanks! excited to join the BR call
Please add me to the group!
Me as well
