In a rule like "Either J or K are selected, but not both are selected" in an In Out Game, why is it represented as Jnot K and not J double not arrow K?? Wouldnt J double not arrow K mean that both are not selected?

I'm really set on getting a 170+, but Logic Games have been really kicking my butt. I find myself not even being able to set up the diagrams correctly, which makes me lose time and accuracy on questions. Does anyone have any advice?
