Maybe a silly question to some, but nonetheless this is important to me and possibly many more.
Does anyone have a particular pencil brand/type which abides to the HB / #2 pencil requirements needed for the LSAT of which they recommend?
I ask this because I am tired of shopping for pencils that either 1, fail to sharpen correctly (e.g.) break repeativley upon sharpening. 2, have worthless erasers (e.g.) smudge pencil marks more that remove them.
I know right?! I'm asking about pencils. I should be honing in on my sufficient assumption logic mapping, however the frustration and energy used in cursing my pencils is taking away from that.
Thanks in advance

Oh it's real alright....
Wouldlike to tune everything out, while still abiding by regulations.
@simpaticonx543 - Sweet. Thanks for sharing. I'll have to check those out.
Hi @coreyjanson479. The Staedtler pencils write very clearly and have good erasers that erase cleanly. They are easy to sharpen to a very fine point, and the tips are strong and don't break easily.
Can't ... tell.. if...real question...
Absolutely brilliant question.
And/or, bring raisins as snack. Raisins in ears = nature's ear plugs.
@simpaticonx543 What do you like about them? I haven't heard much about those!
As far as the various items one can bring with to the exam are concerned, I believe Kleenex is allowed but earplugs are not. However, can one use the Kleenex as earplugs?
I like Staetdler Norica HB#2 graphite latex free
That kind is all I've been using for a year. My original pack of (a lot) has now been reduced to a bunch of tiny scratched up (knawed up) twigs. Can't wait to buy a new pack for this October...Black.
I spent a bit of time looking for the best. I chose Ticonderoga. I got a huge pack of them from Amazon.
@coreyjanson479.janson35 Holla.
@jessicakoh93812 that's phat.
I just started using Palomino Black Wing 602's today. It's like writing with butter.
Apparently there is a blogger doing in depth analysis of various types of pencils. Here is the bloggers take on the black warrior.

Buy now while the back to school deals are in effect.
Wow. Just, wow. Thank you all for the links and info on this. I'm happy to see that I was not the only one wondering about the quality of a decent pencil.
I've tried so many different types, (made in USA, one brand, then another, and another) only to come to the conclusion that pencils are just poorly made across the board.
I will be jumping on the Ticonderogas band wagon for sure!
@2543.hopkins **something about palominos and long point sharpeners**
Have you checked out this thread?

I'm a fan of the classic Ticonderogas... @2543.hopkins should be along shortly to spread her pencil gospel...
