Perfect timing for me to leave work, drown myself in alcohol with some friends one last time, and weep for the free time I will no longer have (again). RIP social life and tinder, see you in June

Me: Is my score available now? *refresh* How 'bout now? *refresh* ....maybe now... *refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh*
JUST got my email...holy moly I got the score I was waiting for...now to e-mail my school and ask for more $$$. Thank you to the December LSAT for being so kind. Wishing everyone the best!!!
Currently refreshing my email incessantly...
CURVE from Dave Killoran
December 2016 LSAT Scale (out of 101):
175 = 96 / -5
170 = 90 / -11
165 = 83 / -18
160 = 73 / -28
155 = 64 / -37
150 = 55 / -46
No problem ;) I'll be updating this thread until 5p EST today. They don't normally release scores after that time.
Congratulations everyone! No matter what score you got just remember you gave it your all and did the best you can! Whether you're retaking or not, congratulations again!!!! <3
WOW. I got off work early and the moment I sat down in my car, I got the email. I got my exact goal score!! Up 7 points from my first take last December (pre-7sage era). I've been bawling my eyes out for the last hour and a half. Thank you so much 7sage, I truly could not have done this without you.
My heart is now beating at 100000 beats per minute.
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!
i alo got an email from san diogo
That's a grey area!
Got my target score. 8 points above my September score. PRAISE THE LORD
I didn't even write but this is so tense. Good luck everyone!!!
On reddit people are saying -11
I saw that and I died a little inside.
But did you, or any of us 7sagers actually receive this email personally?
It makes me wonder why they would send this email to particular individuals and not send it out across the board to all of us. The spelling mistakes also seriously point to a hoax, despite Dave's explanation for them. My opinion.
I won't believe anything I see online until I see it in my inbox myself, directly from LSAC.
Literally same. Goodbye social life and welcome back feelings of guilt every minute of life that I'm not studying.
if its not coming in 30min, its not coming today!
Thanks, Dillon, for creating this thread--and for putting the answer right next to the thread title!! I'm a ball of nerves...really hope the score comes out today.
This is why everyone has been saying not to expect it in advance of January 4th. I haven't even been checking e-mail - everyone should just breath, go for a run, watch some netflix, and/or get blasted drunk.
Hey @zahravaid548.vaid. Sorry to hear that your LSAT didn't go as well as you hoped :( Retakes generally yield better results, and as you've probably already heard, most Ontario schools have a fairly holistic admissions process. A 161 is widely considered by schools to be competitive, but this threshold varies a bit with your GPA (i.e. a GPA in the 3.9s will give you more leeway with a lower LSAT score and vice versa). If you take a look at the "accepted" forum threads at lawstudents.ca at the moment, you'll be able to see people with LSATs and GPAs all over the spectrum. Be advised, however, that most people accepted earlier in the cycle (December/January) will be on the higher end of applicants.
One piece of advice... February isn't terribly far off, so if you're dead set on re-taking then, make sure you're absolutely confident that you'll be able to score even a low 160 on a bad day... In other words, the average of your last 10 PTs should be from recent tests and in the mid 160s.
Feel free to message me if you have any other questions about the LSAT or the Ontario admission process. I recently wrote the September LSAT and have received early offers of admission to Osgoode and Western.
Relax, reset, and refocus. You've got this!
