Are we supposed to read the passage when doing these?

@AnibalCPerez I try not to and use what I remember from my initial reading but if none of the answers click then I ctrl F for a key word (ie tragic) and try to skim the paragraph that looks most promising.

@AnibalCPerez agreed I think its better to read the passage on the first section and just reference it when answering the following questions

@LauraByrne can we CTRL F in the actual test?

You make breaking it down look so easy. I feel like your breakdown makes answering easy!

Why didn't it give me a chance to blind review?

The low-res summaries really do help a lot. I think that was my mistake before. I wasn't really doing them the way they should be done.

#feedback in a question like this, I was down to A or D but ultimately chose A. I was swayed to choose A because of the statement, "they are also experienced by the protagonist as an internal compulsion". Pairing this with the quotated "choose" and "recognize," I feel like it's valid to conclude that the protagonist while thinking they are making a choice on their own, are not aware of the actual influence of the gods.

The reason I did not choose A on this question comes from the last sentence of the second paragraph. This sentence says the protagonist realizes there is only one choice. The implication here is that they know that the gods are only giving them one choice, therefore it tracks that if they know this fact they can not be deluded into thinking they were given free will.

@hr06254 I agree (though I had to mull over A a bit to get it) -- based on Rivier's description, it's possible the protagonists aren't deluded at all! Just unable to truly be free.

#feedback Like in the last couple modules of LR, can we have the lesson time reflect the few minutes it takes to answer the question, do blind review, and watch the video?

RC has always been my worst section by far and it turns out I just needed a framework to tackle the passages. I haven't needed to look at the passage a single time to answer the questions. Bless the Low-Res summary

I'm having trouble understanding what the passage is trying to say...any suggestions?

tbh it really is hard so dont beat yourself up. maybe try to take in one sentence at a time and see how to connects to each other. then when you finish the paragraph, do that low res summary.

try to be engaging with the passage, it helps you actively understand. ofc this takes lots of practice, just keep trying and trying and you'll eventually see the patterns and your habits.

18 seconds faster than target! let's go! the low-res summary is super helpful, though I am worried about how I will be able to implement this on test day given time restraints

With a lot of practice, you won't really need to explicitly think about making low-res summaries. And, a lot of the separate steps that we work through for each paragraph blend together. It feels clunky when you're first starting out, but with practice you'll get a lot faster. (Also, low-res summaries should ideally be just a mental thing; writing out notes usually takes too long for most people.)

@naomi.mullings2 honestly i just read the part of the passage that the question was asking about and I was under 5:23 min and i got the question right under 22 seconds.

wont always work but thats how I saved time this time

How can I create a low res summary when the LSAT is on the computer now?

    Sunday, Sep 1, 2024

You get scratch paper while taking the LSAT so I used that when I took it in August! Not as ideal as writing on the passage
