Why do they insist on small changes days before the exam

@FutureLawyer I swear its a gang of people who have never taken the test.

  • I feel like this is their way to combat lsat inflation just making the format as bad as possible and make sure no one is comfortable with it

@Optimusbladerunner I really believe that they periodically change the interface without changing the questions just to drag down the mean by a little bit. It is a lot easier and cheaper than changing the underlying test.

@Optimusbladerunner is the inflation that bad?

I KNEW IT!! and they started adding gaps between the paragraphs which is very helpful. probably since they took away the automatic highlight for when they’re referencing something in a specific paragraph.

They loveee to play with us

I see that their new company philosophy is to 脱裤子放屁

Explanation: all you’re doing is farting(testing us) and yet you insist on taking off your pants (making 100 changes to the UI design)

Seems a bit willy nilly at this point!

They really have to change the low contrast between the grey text and the grey background on the answer choices! Who would have thought that grey text on grey is a good idea!

the new font is intimidating to me. the old one is much more approachable, like i could hang out with it

@Kevin_Lin I just took the August LSAT. They actually removed the dividers in the RC section so you wouldn't know how many Qs in a passage.

@superchillasian This is the second report we got about this...definitely different from LawHub's implementation. I think we will ask LSAC about this because it sounds like it could be a mistake on their part, not intentional...

I hope the test went well otherwise and you weren't thrown off by that unexpected oddity!

@superchillasian Did you have 2 RC sections? If so, did you notice this missing divider issue on only one of them?

    3

@Kevin_Lin I also just took August. I had two RC sections and the missing divider issue was only on the first one for me. Def threw me off a little since this was just section 1

    @Kevin_Lin I only had one!.

I also was kicked out in the middle of section 3 and had to wait for 10 minutes to resume. Not sure if this happened to anyone else 😭

    1

@superchillasian That's so weird, isn't LSAC supposed to be showing the format that we will see on test date?

    3
    Yesterday

@Kevin_Lin any update on whether LSAC said anything??

@char The issue is supposed to be fixed; we don't expect test-takers today or in the future to see divider-less RC.

@Kevin_Lin Do you know if there will be any remedies for those that took it yesterday and had 1 dividerless and 1 with dividers? I know that the experimental section is picked in advance so its not like they can just make the dividerless one experimental. I sent feedback to LSAC but don't want to risk filing a formal complaint and doing a retake. Just feels like the test won't be fair for everyone if some had different formats than others.

@DylanLew If you don't want to submit a complaint for a retake, unfortunately I don't see what they can do. I haven't heard of any remedies for glitches/proctor issues aside from a free retake.

bruh every time i log on it's different. now there's gaps in passages and words remain highlighted when using ctrlF again (they literally removed it a couple weeks ago just to bring it back lmao wtf)

This new font is so hard to read. Just did a practice RC section and missed twice as many as usual. It was really disorienting. They should offer several font options for accessibility.

I can't even tell you how much I thought my own computer was glitching just because how quickly and constantly they change the interface
