Hi everyone,

Given November 2021 LSAT will be administered in four sections, including an experimental-unscored one, do you think it's good idea to do Prep tests simulating LSAT-Flex on 7Sage? (Because we don't know whether the experimental section will be in LR)

Or, continuing to drill with four section format is still better?

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks!

Dear all,

Might anyone have advice on sitting for the October LSAT in Asia at a timeslot outside the timings offered?

The current timings take place from 11pm to 5.30am, which are probably the most unearthly hours to take a test.

I've contacted LSAC but they've asked me to reach out to ProctorU instead. Was thinking of asking them on Monday, but can anyone share their experiences and suggestions on what might be done?

Can I see my score?

So I wrote the LSAT for the first time in June and cancelled my score because I scored way lower than I expected. I'm currently registered for the October LSAT and my score is kind of where I want it. I'm kind of stressed about taking the test because I don't know if I can see my score and cancel it if I don't like it. Is that just something they offer for your first test? Part of me wants to move my test to November but another part of me thinks I'm just freaking out because of my anxiety. If I can see my score, I'm thinking of registering for the November test and then deciding whether or not I want to write it after viewing my score. Otherwise I might just move it to November. Help.

Recommendations?

Hi so I’m currently planning on taking the LSAT in November and plan to retake in January as well and I have already been approved for my accommodations which is great. The only problem is that I originally was doing a different prep course and it started out very well but started to feel like I was wasting my time and not getting anywhere so I stopped that bought a couple of power books and have been reading those. They definitely are helping but I just felt I needed more direction and kept hearing good things about 7Sage so I bought it to give it a shot. I was wondering whether you think it’s best to follow the sage outline or just jump around and play around with the system

Application

If I upload my transcripts to LSAC, purchase a CAS account, fill out applications etc, and decide to apply next cycle as opposed to this, will I need to repeat this entire effort or only parts of it?

I have been studying for the LSAT for the past couple of months. I'm looking for someone who's down to take an LR section and talk through questions together. I prefer a West coast person since that would make scheduling sessions easier. Every week we would meet twice (ideally Wednesday/Thursday) mornings. I can do zoom, and if you are in Southern California (SD area), we can also meet in person. PM me if you are serious about making a commitment twice a week and improving our scores together :)

Re-take

Hi!

I am taking my first test in October and I am currently scoring where I want to score.. but should I register for the November LSAT just in case I don't score in my target? Or should I register for the January one so its not too rushed. I dont want to waste a take.

I live in Canada, so the application is different than in the US. The schools I am applying to still take the January LSAT.

Thanks!

I'm curious -- for those who have already taken the virtual LSAT -- what device did you use? (i.e., 13" Macbook, 16" Macbook) I have been using a 27" Mac desktop but I'll be taking the LSAT from a hotel and am not sure bringing the desktop will be practical (although it's a possibility).

My laptop is seriously outdated so I'll need to purchase another but I'm kind of freaking out about screen size?

If anyone can help, please reply to this thread with your device and what you liked/disliked about your LSAT experience!

October test is 2 weeks away! Just wanted to say you're doing great. You got this. We've studied more than we maybe even thought possible. Keep pushing through these next couple weeks. If you're anything like me, you might be just a bit tired (turns out, working full-time and studying is not the most relaxing combo anyone ever created). Keep getting your reps in for the subjects you need to practice. We've got the knowledge. We've got the repetitions. Excited to see the payoff. If you have any encouraging words for your fellow October test takers, post them below!

Should I make the switch?

Hey everyone, I am new to 7sage. I briefly used it a while ago but I have been using a different platform, I had purchased a package and I have been studying for 4 months with that platform but I have not seen any significant improvement. I have seen improvement in my BR score to 160 but my timed tests remain in the 150s and I actually went down one point. I am inclined to stop using that other program and use 7sage instead given all the great testimonies and conversations I'm seeing here. My question is would this be more harmful for me to switch platforms when I've already started studying with that other program or should I switch if I am not seeing results? I'm not sure where to go from here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have not taken any official LSATs and my goal would be to get to the 170s.

Some Inspiration

Hi guys. I have been hesitant to post my story because I am always super hard on myself and didn't wanna share this but I thought it could be beneficial. I started my LSAT journey 7 months ago, but struggle with severe test anxiety and just general confidence issues. I had been PT-ing in the 160s prior to my August LSAT, but took August and got the lowest score I've ever gotten, even lower than my diagnostic. I had a panic attack during logic games and kind of lost it all. Today, I am preparing for October and I have gotten PT's of 168,169,166,170,171. I write all of this to let you guys know that it is possible, even if you don't think it is. You just have to keep going. Even now, I hesitant to post this because my brain is like, "Will I replicate this for October?" But if anyone needs a push to keep going, you can. My PTs are already 10 points higher than my August score and it's only been a couple weeks. You have it in you, just believe you do!

Hello!!

I’m trying to sign up for my Proctor U account but it’s asking for an institution. My university is not listed in the universities that you get to pick from, and it’s a required area to sign up. I’m not sure what to do, if anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!!

Looking for advice

Hey all! I'm just looking for a bit of advice for my situation.

I'm a Canadian applicant (Ontario) and my applications will be due November 1st, but I can take the LSAT up until January 2022.

I am going into my third cycle of applications, and while my situation is different this time around I can't help but feel like I shouldn't apply this year since I don't have the score I need on file - I'm registered for November's test.

Both previous cycles that I applied for were a rush for me, I hadn't even broken a 160 and that was the score I needed, I was clearly applying very prematurely lol. This time around - my latest PT was a 165 and I'm working with a tutor, so the way I've approached the exam is very different.

Anyways, I told myself that if I'm applying this year I need to reconnect with my professors by October 1st so that they have sufficient time to re-upload their LOR's but I am realizing and panicking now because that's next week lol.

I guess what I'm getting at is - I feel like I'm doing the same thing over again which has only ever resulted in failure. While my capabilities and score is much different this time around, I still have anxieties about applying without a score. When I'm weighing my options though, it doesn't seem worth it to take another entire year off when I am scoring above my goal?

Just looking for anyone else who may have helpful advice to offer!

PT90+ is May 2020

Just a heads up if you planned on taking the 3 shiny new PTs on law hub. PT 90+ is the same test as PT May 2020, just with an added section to simulate the new 4 section LSAT form. If you've already taken the May 2020 PT, don't also take PT 90+ if you're looking for new content.

Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could share a rough estimate of their score progressions from the first diagnostic to maybe 2 months after the fact? I was a pretty meh student throughout college so I assumed my LSAT diagnostic would be low off the bat, but it ended up being a 156! I was so excited! That was 17 days ago. Since then I've done 8 more practice tests ( I know that's kind of insane, but I make sure to check my mistakes after and figure out why I got them wrong) and the scores were 154, 155, 156, 159, 155, 153, 159, 154, and 159. I'm happy that my initial score was a decent indicator of where I am at and not a fluke, but I'm so excited to see improvement! I feel like I am able to understand the material but sometimes it is hard for me to access the understanding quickly and under pressure. I'm new to the LSAT so I don't know if this is normal, but I have put in roughly 100 hours over the past 5 weeks so I'm just kinda bummed it hasn't gone up more. It seems like I am still in that "band" of 156. Thanks everyone! And like I said I am super new to the LSAT as well as intense studying (got my first ever headache from too much studying this week) so please feel free to share anything that might help.

Getting out of a plateau?

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on getting out of a plateau? Timed PT score is mid-high 150's, BR is usually low 160's. While I'm doing timed PT's, followed by BR and Full Review but I'm not seeing any numerical improvement (however, I do feel like I'm learning something from each test I take). The main sections I struggle with are LR and RC (esp with timing). Is this normal and how do I start seeing an actual improvement in my score? I'm trying to get in the high 160's (at least) for the October LSAT. Thanks all!!

In need of tutor

Hey everyone,

I've finally decided that I need a tutor. I've been really trying to save money so I can pay for living expenses during 1L but I really think I need some help so here I am.

Please let me know if you personally have a tutor suggestion or can point me in the right direction. I know there was a discussion page with various tutors and their hourly rates listed but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

I did the full length section of LR from PT 65 that is part of the core curriculum. (After you finish all the LR lessons). But the questions were given to me in reverse order from 26,25,24...3,2,1 not 1-26. So the hardest questions were skewed towards to the front of the test and not the latter part of the test like a normal LR section. Does anyone know if this is on purpose or what the reasoning is for that? #HELP

Taking the OCT exam and currently PTing around 170. The best score I have gotten in PT so far is 174 (BR178)

This will be my last LSAT and my previous was 167. Any last minute studying tips? I am currently at -1-3 per section.
