Have you found that 7Sage's 12 hour length for each practice test is accurate or do they just give a time on the higher end so as not to mislead. I have only done core curriculum lessons so far so I have not given a practice test/blind review a go yet. Bonus question: would anyone recommend interspersing some of the earlier practice tests with the core curriculum, or is it highly recommended to complete CC before taking on all of the tests after June 2007?
Hi all,
I have some troubles in negating the following:
I am not very sure whether I should negate "too" or, rather, "to" in the above sentences.
Thanks very much,
Leon
LSAC announced that for first time takers, you can purchase the option to see your score before deciding whether you want to cancel.
Full text of announcement:
In response to requests and feedback from test takers, we have created a new score preview option for first-time test takers who wish to see their score before deciding whether or not to keep it as part of their LSAC transcript and report it to schools. Score preview will cost $45 for candidates who sign up prior to the first day of testing for a given test administration, or candidates may sign up during a specified time period after testing has concluded for $75. First-time test takers who sign up for score preview will receive their scores at the same time other test takers receive theirs, (assuming they have completed their LSAT Writing and have no holds on their accounts), and will have six (6) calendar days to decide if they want to cancel or keep their score. If they take no action their scores will be added to their LSAC file and released to schools at the end of the six-day period. This feature will be available for purchase starting around August 1.
Note: First-time test takers who have an approved LSAT fee waiver will receive score preview free of charge. In 2019, LSAC approved 7,939 candidates for fee waivers. Because there were 71,515 first-time test takers in the 2019-2020 testing cycle, that means 11.1% of those first time test takers would have automatically received the free score preview.
You can learn more about the score preview option at our website: https://www.lsac.org/lsat/taking-lsat/lsat-scoring/about-score-preview
If I took and canceled the July 2020 LSAT do I count as a first time test taker and qualify for score preview for August?
I am 40% complete with the common core and have been laboring over LR for a while now. I jumped into the Logic Games to change things up.
How did you all proceed through the common core and how long did it take for you to finish the curriculum?
Hi,
So I'm new here and I can't seem to navigate the site.

I'm sorry but this is a bit frustrating. The video I watched did not do much. Is there a way I can take individual sections without starting from the first section in an order. For example, I want to take the LR sections in PT 57 which are the 3rd and 4th. I am unable to do that because it automatically wants me to start with the first section. Please help.

When I took my diagnostic about 5 weeks ago, it was a 140. I took my fourth practice test and despite having gotten 2-3 points increases, I'm back to 140. Clearly, devastated. I feel like I know so much more about the test (and specifically LR) and I hate that my score isn't reflecting that. I am steadily improving in RC without studying, but the opposite for LR. Can anyone offer words of encouragement about their experiences? The earlier I'm taking the LSAT is in November, so I do have a lot of time left. Am I expecting big improvement too soon? I'm hoping to break 150 by the end of July, but I did think I would be there by now. Also, I study around 3 hours everyday, but sometimes I skip days.
Hey,
Is there an easy way to add questions to Problem Sets from the Prep Test performance screen after taking a Practice test?
Thanks!
Like others, I don't know if I performed to expectation on July. I'm pretty sure I killed LG, did okay on LR, but may have bombed RC (that tribes passage...)
My last few PTs before the test were 171, 170, and 175. I'd be happy at this point if I managed to get a mid-high 160 but my brain is giving me a huge possible range of scores from below my diagnostic to possibly around where I was scoring by the end.
I'm really happy with my LG performance since I spent most time working on it throughout my prep (thank you 7sage, Foolproofing Method, & Pacifico's Attack Method). I'm fairly confident I went -0 or -1 unless I missed something important, but I had time to check everything over. But I can't stop thinking about RC since it's always been my most consistent section but for this test I only had a few minutes left at the end of it, and I didn't feel confident about most of my answers from a couple of the passages.
While I'm loathe to give LSAC any more money then it's already taken from me, I'm going to need a fairly high LSAT since I'm a splitter with a horrible GPA (though at least I'd be a mature candidate, so I have that going for me).
What do you guys think? What have you guys done? I've been feeling a little nauseous ever since I finished the July Flex and I can't stop thinking about it.
Hi everyone,
I am pretty sure this question has been asked on this for in the past so apologies in advance.
I'm taking the flex exam on the 17th. I read somewhere that I just have to submit the writing sample before scores are released for the July exam. Can anyone please confirm if this is true? I couldn't find where on LSAC's webpage this "due date" was mentioned. :(
I initially took the 7sage course back in 2019 and scored a 153 and then a 151 in Feb of this year. Would it be worth it to go through the course again in hopes of a 160+? I feel like the last time I ran through most of the material.
I hope some of you will find laughter from this plus it's a PSA haha. I took the flex yesterday and LMAOOO just wanted to share with y'all that I didn't know/forgot we could only use number 2 pencils. So when my proctor was like "uhhhhh my guy are those MECHANICAL pencils? sorry they can't be mechanical...do you have any number 2 pencils?" I started to panic and rummaged through my entire house until I found 2 dull ass number 2 pencils. But wait, no sharpener. Only had a knife. It was the first time I ever sharpened a pencil with a knife in my life LOLOL we really hate to see it. The exam wasn't that bad. I usually PT from 167 - 172 (RC is my kryptonite rip) but I was so frazzled so I feel like LR/RC could have been better if my mind was in the right place. Ended up rereading stimuluses and parts of passages just because my angst got the best of me. But during the exam it was one of those moments where I knew if I was in the right headspace I would have complete control of the exam. You feel me? Nothing crazy out of the ordinary. Made some educated guesses on more questions than I would have liked and if the stars align we chillin, if not then rip. It sucks that I paid 200 for what is now essentially a practice exam but hey great learning experience and now I have HELLLAAAAA number 2 pencils and a sharpener for next time. Don't forget your number 2 pencils!!! Who's on this August train with yo'boy??
I took the July LSAT Flex yesterday and am now anxiously awaiting score release in two weeks. I am wondering, does anyone know when we have to take the writing portion by? Can I take it after scores are released? Or do I need to take it sometime in the next two weeks?
I am trying to register for August LSAT flex, and it still prompts me to choose a physical location. Is that how everyone else registered as well?
I signed up for the August LSAT in USA and planned to travel there to take the test. However, due to travel restrictions and what not, it looks like I can no longer make the trip.
I thought it would be fine to take the online test from where I am in Asia but when I called LSAC, they said that I have to be in the USA-Canada region in order to take the exam.
Does anyone have experience taking the exam outside of the country that they were supposed to take it? I was thinking of using VPN to change my IPO to be based in the US, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with it.
Hi all,
After initially planning to take the August 29, 2020 exam, I've decided it would be beneficial to delay my exam to the October 3, 2020 test date in hopes of improving my timing and score. Does anyone know if the October LSAT is most likely going to be a LSAT Flex?
Thanks!
HELP!
I took the June 2020 Flex and received a 165. My PT averages were around 161 so I was pretty happy with that. However, I had to guess on the last LG due to time, so it makes me wonder if I can do even better than a 165. Should I retake? What are the downsides of retaking?
Hi guys,
If I cancelled my score, can I still do the writing sample?
Hey guys! For letters of recommendation, I know we need at least 2 to apply but will it be alright to get one from an employer and one from a professor? Or will it look better on my application to get 2 from my professors? I have a bachelors but unfortunately, I never spoke to my professors that often so I'm in a dilemma right now.
Hi guys!!
Q: Is there anyway to recreate Flex tests on 7sage? If not, can we pretty please have Flex tests or the option to somehow create our own tests using 3 problem sets that are then put through the converter (if this is already poss LMK!)
Q2: Is this something that is being done anywhere besides the PowerScore analytics package/ if not, would you recommend using the new PowerScore package?
#help
I just took the writing portion and as I started to take notes on the scenario given to me, I realized there was NO prompt to show the camera my scratch paper. I had already written a few words on on the paper but I stopped and I said to the camera something like “I think I was supposed to show you the paper. There was no prompt to do so but here it is even tho I just wrote on it.” And I showed it both sides and what I had written at that point. I probably lost about 30 seconds due to this and the panic that I felt.
One side of the paper was shown when I did my room/desk scan. But not the other side till after I took some notes.
Ugh. Did anyone else have this experience? Do you think they will disqualify me? This is a time sensitive issue and I’m not sure if it’s better to call them or just hope for the best and not make a big deal out of it.
Hi all!
I just hit the 160s for the first time (yay!) it was a BR score so I'm not sure how consistent it will be going forward... but exciting nonetheless! My issue is timing, I score MUCH higher on every section untimed as I'm sure many others have experienced. I am looking for ways to learn to maximize my time in order to close this gap quickly.
I scored a 147 timed and a 163 untimed on PT 52 today - granted, I would typically score 154/155 timed but did not answer nearly all the questions, as I was trying to focus on maintaining accuracy.
Now that I seemingly am maintaining accuracy (thanks to my first ever 163, as well as other untimed sections where I was averaging similarly) I figured it made sense to begin focusing on timing and test taking strategy. In LR I feel that I often have to re-read the argument in order to get its gist, which I know is a huge waste of time - if anyone has advice on this specifically it would be helpful!
I can NEVER make it to the last RC passage timed, I assume this will just come with practice?
Here is the breakdown of my BR score for context:
LR1 - 21/25
LG - 23/23
LR2 - 17/26
RC - 18/26 (Q15 was removed from scoring from exam)
Thanks in advance!
