I am (re)taking lsat this Saturday and I am starting to worry if pt 84 and 85 indicate an increase in difficulty in lsat. It seems like people have a consensus that 84 has a tough RC, and 85 has a super tricky LR, but neither of them has a generous curve. Both of my scores from these two tests are ~5 points below my pt average. Or....maybe I am just overthinking and panicking about this coming exam?

The Question Bank is great!

Progressing through the PT phase, I was wondering if it is possible to have a Filter/Sort for the PT's that I have entered into Analytics to create problem sets to drill? Utilizing the problem sets within the curriculum was immensely helpful and I have created similar problem sets with PTs that I have taken. Curious if it could be easier to delineate which PTs to choose to create mini-drill sets and be able to maintain the integrity of fresh PTs?

Any advice appreciated to make it an easier process:)

(p.s. This post is in no way advocating for extensive drilling on a specific Question type - taking sections and being able to adapt as the questions are presented is paramount:)

I forgot where I saw a clip of a taped section. After much resistance, I have decided to do it. Can anyone point me to where I can find a clip? Thanks!

Proctors: Middle of the road. Good but not great. Firm but not too strict.

Facilities: Plenty of room. Lighting could have been a little brighter. Temperature was fine. Chairs were reasonably comfy.

What kind of room: Large gathering room located in their Alumni Center which is just off campus.

How many in the room: We had about 25 but it could have easily accomodated several more.

Desks: Long skinny rectangles. Sadly, the surface was textured. Come on La Sierra.

Left-handed accommodation: Not needed with their setup.

Noise levels: Very quiet.

Parking: Plentiful and close. No sticker or permit needed.

Time elapsed from arrival to test: About half an hour.

Irregularities or mishaps: For some reason the proctor took about 3 seconds between sections 4 and 5 after she had moved at a much more normal pace on all the other change-overs. Watch reset had to happen super fast on that one.

Other comments: Bathroom facilities were decent and accomodated an appropriate number of people for the number who were taking the exam (which was NOT the case at my previous LSAT location).

Would you take the test here again? Yes

Hi there, I know you all rank how hard questions or passages are on a five-point scale. I figured you do it based on what percentage of people got a certain question wrong.

I just finished a preptest (66) and I'm particularly interested now. You ranked game 1 four out of five in difficulty, but said it should take five minutes to complete. Game 2 got 10 minutes target time, but was ranked three out of four in difficulty.

Those are just examples. I'm not looking for specific feedback about preptest 66. I was just curious how you decide how hard questions are, or how long we should spend on them.

Thanks!

Hi!

Has anybody taken the LSAT at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center?

Can you describe your experience there? (types of chairs, desks/tables, air conditioning, proctors, etc.)

I took the LSAT at McGeorge Law School (Sacramento, CA) in July. I've been taking practice tests and preparing for the LSAT at the McGeorge location all year. I'm a little nervous retaking it at a place I've never been.

Hi everyone ! I signed up to take the powerscore live class for the October lsat and I'm wondering if anyone here has taken it before ? I've written the lsat twice and exam anxiety got the best of me the last time... 7 sage has been really helpful so far but I'm determined to get in this cycle and I think that an in-person class would be helpful.

If anyone's taken it before, do you have any tips/recommendations ? I scored in the 140 the first time I wrote it (I was 18 and didn't study at all), and the second time I Had an anxiety attack in the middle of the exam because I thought I filled the bubbles in wrong.

I know that it's an exam you need to learn and not study and I'm slowly trying to shift gears into thinking that way this time around. But if anyone has taken the powerscore exam while using the 7sage course I would love your thoughts and how/if doing both programs together helped your score.

Hi everyone,

I’m currently signed up for the November LSAT, but I’ve been feeling really stuck and could use some advice. My practice test scores are still in the 140s, and even though I’ve been studying consistently, I’m not seeing the improvement I was hoping for. I’m aiming for at least a 157, but right now that feels out of reach.

I’ve been using 7Sage to go through the core curriculum and drilling with LSAT Demon (Basic plan), mostly focusing on Logical Reasoning and some Reading Comprehension. But honestly, I’m not sure I really know how to study. I watch the videos, do drills, and review my answers — but I don’t feel like I’m learning how to avoid the same mistakes or actually build better habits.

Reading Comprehension is by far my worst section. I feel like I’m always running out of time or just completely missing the structure and purpose of the passages. Logical Reasoning is a bit better, but I’m still not where I want to be.

I’m thinking about upgrading my Demon plan in October to get access to live classes and more targeted help, but I’m also wondering if I need to change how I’m approaching my studying in general.

If anyone has broken out of the 140s — especially using Demon or 7Sage — I’d really appreciate hearing what worked for you. How did you improve your Reading Comp? How did you review in a way that actually led to progress?

Thanks in advance — I really want to make this happen, but I know I need to work smarter if I’m going to reach my goal by November.

Hello.

I have just received my scores from the September LSAT and received a 154. I was hoping for a 160, or even a 158-159. I wish to apply to Canadian Law Schools (as I am Canadian woop) and the general average LSAT score they accept is 160. My PT scores have been fluctuating between mid 150s to low 160s. Most of them being high 150s.

So, I definitely want to re-take the LSAT. I am currently unsure if I should register in November or January and see pros and cons to both.

Currently I am a 4th year student in my undergraduate degree. So during November I would be knees deep in midterm season. I feel I would maybe have less time to study, and given the already sort of tight constraints, perhaps I would not be able to pull my score to where I want it to be in time? Meanwhile taking the LSAT in January would allow me more time to study for sure, especially with Winter break and only just starting new classes.

On the flip side though, I know the law schools in Canada have a sort of rolling admission policy. So, writing later could put me at a disadvantage in that regard?

So, I am just wondering which LSAT date do you think it's best for me to write? Is it realistic to expect improvement for the November one, or should I go with January?

Just a thread for fun and some motivation. Any stories, hopefully positive, here of people pulling all nighters or spurts of no sleep in law school? I would imagine there are perhaps many interesting 1l stories? Just curious because I am graduating from undergrad in 3 months and haven’t got much sleep lately even during my break. I’ve just been reading lots of nonfiction for fun to increase my reading capacity. In retrospect, I thought I did a lot of reading in undergrad but now am beginning to realize I didn’t even know the half of it.

Looking for someone at the same level of their studies as me - Completed CC and taking PT's and doing thorough Blind Reviews. It will be my first time writing.

My goals for the next two months include: score more consistently, build endurance, identify and improve weak areas, really work on improving RC

I am hoping to get through some of the 70's tests this month and 80's during June. I am also open to doing older tests or even just sections ( example LR section or single RC passage) when not testing and BR-ing.

I find Blind Review VERY helpful and hoping someone who is preparing for July will be down. We don't have to do every single test together- maybe a few - unless you want to do more.

If you are interested, at the same level and have similar goals - then let me know!

My time zone is Mountain Standard

I took the December exam and got a score of 161. It was the 1st time I took the exam and scored approx. 3 points lower than I was scoring prior to the exam. I am applying to UCI Law and was wondering if you guys think I should retake in February or not. My GPA is 3.45

UCI's 25 percentile GPA: 3.38 and LSAT 160.

50 percentile GPA: 3.57 and LSAT 163.

75 percentile GPA 3.68 and LSAT 165.

I know my numbers are a bit higher than the 25th percentile but I'm not sure if they're strong enough. Any advice or opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I took the July LSAT. It was quite an experience b/c the LG section just threw me off. I felt confident about only one game and had to make a lot of guesses on two games.

I've just been feeling so disappointed with myself. This was my third time taking the test. I was scoring in the early 170s on my practice tests. I worked really hard to get my pt score average to high 160s - early 170s. But everything just went to the drain on the real test.

I can't afford another score below 165. Both of my first two scores have been below 165. I know that the general advise is not to cancel, but I don't feel confident about the July LSAT at all. Doing well on the logic games is so critical for my overall performance on the test. I'm thinking of canceling and taking the September test. What do you think? At this point, I know that I'm capable of scoring 170+ and I don't think my performance on the July test will represent my full potential and how much I've improved on this test .
