Breaking 160s

I am taking the LSAT in October and November. I would love any advice for breaking over 160. I am not looking for any insane score jump but would love to go up at least a couple points before then.

Currently I am doing a timed section each day, one practice test a week, and wrong answer journaling each one.

🙃 Confused

Actual Test Interface?

I am taking actual LSAT this Saturday and was wondering if I should do my last practice test on 7Sage or directly on LSAC? Wondering if there is also any other advice in general about possible technical difficulties that can happen day of

Inconsistent and Confused

I’ve been studying this test for a few months now and today I finally broke 161. After that I did another LR section and got -12!! Wayyyyy worse than I have been doing. Same thing happened last week, I was drilling all day and when I took a PT I scored worse than I have in months. Is this over practicing and mentally exhausting myself or am I getting lucky with my better scores? Driving me nuts. Any ideas? And has this happened to anyone else?

Stress about timing

I don't know how everyone feels, but I've been doing my practice along with the 7sage fundamental classes. I got the red symbol - how many seconds longer than what I was supposed to - for all my prep answers. I don't know if I should skim and skipp reading all the answer choice when I find the correct answer, cause that seems to be the only way I can meet the suggested time.

So I took the August 2025 LSAT and did not score nearly as well as I wanted to, especially considering my score was lower than any PT I've done leading up to it. I took the rest of August off from doing anything LSAT related because I'll be honest I was drained and burnt out from spending my entire summer just studying for the test. I will be retaking the LSAT this November and I need advice on where to begin on restarting my studying journey. My goal score is a 160. Any tips or advice on where to pick back up with studying is greatly appreciated!!!

Question type analytics

Hi! I was wondering if there’s a way to have my priorities by question tag include all of the questions I’ve taken instead of just my practice tests. It would be great if I could include all questions or all questions in the last month or something so I can see more directly what I should be trying to work on. It would also be great if you could set your target score and calculate where you’re under performing in relation to that as well.

If any of this is possible please let me know!

Which PTs are harder

Having taken the LSAT in June I found that the test was more tricky than normal PTs. It was much more along the lines of PT 144. Has anyone else found PT 144 harder than others? Do you all have other PTs in mind that you would say are harder in your opinion? Trying to gain insight to study these PTs since I know the October test will be just as tricky.

Split Approach - RC

Hi everybody, I've been practicing the split approach and quite enjoy its methodology. However, I've also read elsewhere that LSAC is actively trying to create questions that stop this approach from being as effective. Can anybody weigh in on this (test takers) and if I should pivot to sequential?

Good luck and thanks!

Link Assumption Questions

Would someone be able to provide me with some of the nuances and strategies needed when tackling link assumption questions. I seem to uniquely struggle with them on my tests and cannot find specific resources for how to approach them. I figure some sort of my mindset is incorrect but I have yet to be able to figure out what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got really discouraged and i'm just now getting back into studying. i'm nervous that i'm not going to do well on the lsat. i work a full time job and i'm not sure if taking it next week is smart... but i also don't want to wait too long that it will affect my likelihood of getting into a school. i have a high gpa but i really am struggling with this lsat stuff. i work a full-time job so i don't have much time for studying. any advice here????

Should I Cancel My Score?

Hi. I just got back my score on the August LSAT and got a 156. This was my first test and I was PTing around 163-165 but after I took the test I knew I did worse than my PTs because my nerves and my anxiety got the best of me. At one point I couldn't even focus on the test and I was just reading the words on the screen without really understanding them. With this being said, should I cancel my score or is it fine if it is lower than I wanted and should keep it because hopefully I will improve on it on future tests? Would greatly appreciate any feedback

Low to High 170s

Before the August test, I was scoring in the high 160s most of the time, with high scores of 172, 174, and 178. Miraculously, I got a 172 on the August test. This is including going to the restroom during a scored section, so I think I could have done better. I need a higher test score in October or November, but I am so tired. Any advice for making that jump? I want a 177.

Tips for closing the BR gap: low 160s to low 170s

Hello LSAT internet, I have been scoring consistently around the low 160s, last 3 PTs were 164/163/163 with blind review scores in the low 170s (170/172/174)

With a few weeks to the September test, what's the best strategy to try and close that gap?

I use my WAJ religiously, and take a few hours after I've blind reviewed to go over questions I struggled with or got wrong.

Doing about -4 on LR and -5 on RC, but LR is better in timed individual sections -2/-3

TIA!!!

New to 7Sage (Need tips please)

Hi everyone! I've been studying for about 8 months using both Blueprint and LSATDemon and been pt'ing around the mid-high 150s. I just got my August score back and severely underperformed and wanted to try this new platform to see if I can improve! My goal score is a 165 and I really want to use 7Sage to the most I can, so please let me know any tips or tricks you have with this platform. I want to get the most efficient use out of it to reach my goals.

I just scored a 175 on PT158.

I just scored a 175 on PT158.

I saw the post about this new feature and wanted to test it out. I feel pretty good about my LSAT progress so far, I have been working at it for a month or so and this is my fourth or fifth PrepTest I think. The main question/advice I am looking for is how to get past those level 5 difficulty questions? No matter how hard I try, they seem to be guaranteed wrong when I complete the test. Not struggling too much with the other difficulties though.

Struggling to Tell Premises Apart from Context

I sometimes get tripped up distinguishing between premises and background context. Sometimes I miss a premise because I think it’s just context, and other times I mistake context for a premise. Has anyone else struggled with this? If so, what strategies have helped you get better at telling the difference? I’ve already gone through the explanations in the core curriculum, and it's not really clicking - I’d really appreciate some fresh perspectives.

I am taking my LSAT in November and just recently began studying. I just started the CC and am only 50% through the foundations unit. I have also taken one untimed PT, on which I scored 161. I am aiming for a score of 165+. I feel like I have a decent grasp of LR and completed those sections quite close to the 35 min time limit, but took far longer on the RC. I believe I can increase my LR score significantly with limited studying and practice, but I know that RC will take significant work for me.

Considering my short time frame for preparation (during which I will also be taking a 16 credit semester), does anyone have advice on the best way to approach my study time? Do people recommend completing the CC, or focusing solely on practice tests? Should I spend time on un-timed PT's, or focus only on timed ones?

Thanks for the help!

Hey guys, I just took the August LSAT, and I'm planning on retaking in November. I wanted to know if there was any way I could review my answers on the August test, but I cant seem to find anything. If you've found a way to do it or just want to study together sometime please let me know

Scrap Paper

I wish there was a way when taking the exam to have scrap paper to take notes on. Ideally psychical but I could still settle for virtual. I don't know if I'm the only one struggling otherwise. Whenever I PT with scrap paper/notes, I do significantly better. Test day is around the corner so I'm pretty nervous without accommodations!

Just wondering if anyone else is having the same struggles.
