@Kevin_Lin, Yes, exactly. Some of the ones I have watched have a sort of "train-of-thought" commentary. I find that watching those is super helpful for getting the mindset in gear before taking a timed PT.

If you have other suggestions, I would love to hear them. I am here to learn!

Thank you so much!!!

💪 Motivated

Study Buddy in Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley

I’m currently scoring in the 150s on timed PTs, although I tend to perform considerably better when working through individual drills. I mention that just to give an honest picture of where I am in my studying.

I’ve been preparing on my own for a long time, and I keep hearing that having a study partner can be one of the best ways to improve. The last LA-area study group post I found was pretty old, and I’m guessing some of those people may have already taken the test—or might even be in law school by now—so I thought I’d start a new one.

I’d love to find someone who wants to benefit from our respective strengths and weaknesses. I stink at conditional logic and accurately mapping parallel questions. I struggle the least with Reading Comprehension.

I’m located in the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area. If you’re interested, please feel free to reach out!

Not at all. I have noticed a trend: people who took a formal logic course as undergraduates have a major advantage on LR, particularly when it comes to conditional and causal reasoning. I began pursuing law without any guidance from my parents or my peers. Had I known that I could take courses that would improve my LSAT performance while earning my bachelor’s degree, I certainly would have taken advantage of that opportunity.

Not sure if that's the case for you, but either way, don't worry. It's an unrepresentative sample ;)

Don't do what I do sometimes, which is letting the test define me...

Anyway, good luck!

Best,

Joseph

😖 Frustrated

Live Takes Module?

Why is there no Live Takes module? These videos are very helpful, especially for quickly reviewing different question types, but I can only find them when I happen to come across one in a question explanation during a drill. This is quite frustrating, and hunting them down wastes time and energy that would be better spent learning from them.

Thanks,

Joseph

@danjpeach96 Actors need cues to know when to speak. you need to know more than just your own lines to act in a play. a spectator could write down one soliloquy. i think its more of an assumption to say an actor did not have a copy.

THIS!!!!! I was having a serious identity crisis there for a minute! "Ok, so I have no problem understanding Gravity's Rainbow, but I CANNOT get better at this test... am I doomed?!" Slowed down with the AI coach and have seen a 10 point jump in a week.

THANK YOU for your post!

paradisal as in "paradise-like," artifacts of domesticity would be like an ironing board or sewing machine, and totem refers to the sociological concept. A totem is a tangible representation of group solidarity
