@CollinEsquirol I will try my best, although i am not great at explaining things, so bear with me. For question 4 we must first look for the main conclusion. Everything prior to But recent research shows, is context to the argument. it explains how tropical storms form and how global warming will bring ocean temps up to prime storm levels. which therefore must cause more frequent and intense storms. but as we know our geographer thinks this is unlikely to happen as other factors like wind flow are likely to counteract global warmings effects. For AC A all it is stating is what the context says. It has very little bearing on the true conclusion which is that this phenomenon is unlikely. AC E captures the essence of this conclusion very well and concisely. Global warming probably will not produce more frequent tropical storms. Just what the geographer thinks.
Definitely one of the harder ones for MC hitherto. Once everything linked up the question was quite easy though, although i took quite some time to complete this.
I remember doing this one a couple of months ago. I remember getting it wrong, but I did recall the answer. I'm quite pleased with how easy this one felt, and how far I've come with identifying conclusions.
@Bayside Level 1s and 2s are the bread and butter of our section make ups. if we can accurately get every level 1 and 2 with ease, then half the job is done.
@MadlynV You can change the BR settings if you want. I have mine set to only flag questions I've got wrong. It has helped immensely in comparison to wasting time deliberating what is right and wrong on BR.
3/3 These ones were fun and kind of tricky, although the prior lessons helped with mapping these out.
@LayHen11 100 percent. Although i feel like learning the foundations whether you translate to logic or not, still helps me interpret small nuanced words properly.
This was by far the hardest question for me on this section. i still don't understand why A is wrong.
@AliGoldberg Same here. Very easy question when properly understood, but missing that little detail makes AC C very very attractive.
@corean7polar724 Yes the little and big corn islands are Caribbean
@MrVino The LSAT rewards robotic function.
1/3 first run 2/3 on BR even, though the last one is the easiest i somehow got it wrong.
Finally a proper 5/5
@cegattbs Very good point
@BreanaNunezThis is actually known as affirming the consequent.
@LydiaBoesel The Origin of Species is a genuinely interesting read. Not hard by scientific standards, but very engaging Imo.
@mibuch Currently reading Wuthering Heights. It is so good.
@SidneyCallaghan Do not worry about your timing. Focus on developing the skills into second nature, and being precise. Eventually you will be able to slowly constrict timing until you are at your desired speed. Foundation over speed.
Missed one out of all the practice questions, and find the conclusion, premise, context and concession drills. Shouldn't have missed one but I'm not upset. Looking forward to the next section of the curriculum.
@Twills Honestly what helps me is to just take it slow. Don't worry about the timing and use the highlighter features. Personally i use orange for context, yellow for main conclusions and pink for premises. sometimes i use yellow if there's sub conclusions. take the time to map out the argument see what supports what, and how it is structured. Doing that has helped me predict the proper AC as i have everything clearly labeled. Later on you will be able to map the argument out in your head and improve on timing.
