I have taken the LSAT 3 times after studying consistently and stayed around mid 140s. Truly I have been embarrassed to even post that this is where I am stuck but I plan to take the April LSAT and still haven't seen any improvement after studying full time since beginning of January. I am not entirely opposed to tutoring but really want to do it on my own because it is just too expensive. I have changed my studying techniques after doing research and asking for other peoples way to study but I still feel like I am not improving. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

I also tend to have the same problem especially if I am continuing to get answers wrong, my new approach is to do the problem to the best of my ability without notes on the first try then when blind reviewing to re-write it in my own words as subject premise and conclusion without looking at the stimulus to make sure I understand it. Hope that helps!
@natemanwell1617 I have done the curriculum and practice tests, I do great with drills but for someone reason I go to take a test its like I have no progress. I appreciate your feedback
did you just do drills or a full practice test at the easier level to harder? I am definitely going to try this as I dont see much change in my score
can you explain this? I did not see how to do process of elimination with this question based on the wording #help
should you spend more time while taking the questions or more time during blind review? I have been contemplating this while studying all of the question types, I tend to change/second guess myself during blind review and trying to get better at it. Any suggestions?
picked E during drill then changed to D during blind review, my main goal right now is to take drills and be able to completely know what answer is right without a doubt. If anyone has pointers please let me know.
I literally picked C then last second changed to B but seeing how many people picked it as well made me feel better
Hi!! I am also taking the November LSAT and have taken them in the past but my scores were not where I wanted them to be so I deferred a year to keep studying and apply this fall. I understand you being scared or nervous especially with it coming up this week I am as well but your scores are good as you said and just because the practice score went down does not mean you cannot get another 170 or more! I just keep telling myself I have put in the time and effort my scores are showing that there is no reason I will not do well next week. I do recommend to take a day or two before the test off do things that help you relax... I am still also studying now but I am seeing it as an opportunity to gain more points not see what I know. I dont recommend taking anymore practice test because you will stress yourself out. You put in the work and it will pay off be positive :)
I am really struggling with these, I have even pulled up the old notes on how to know what is a premise or a conclusion. From using those I knew this was a conclusion but D's wordiness is what confused me, I really dont know what else to do with these questions I have gotten maybe 2 right this whole unit
when you guys are doing these questions what are you asking yourself to look for the right answer? I keep picking the answer that would be sufficient not a necessity because I am thinking what is the back door to ruin the argument but thats not working. #help
what am I doing wrong if I am getting all the You Try questions right during this unit but then get a lot of the drills wrong? I keep feeling like I see the light at the end of the tunnel then its gone
what tips does anyone have when trying to study if you feel like you cannot focus on what your am reading. I was taking a prep test today and had to reread questions over and over again till I just took a break and now I am working on these types of questions to still continue learning
thank you this really helped me I have gotten all the weaken questions wrong but I think your explanations will help me look at them the right way
are people reviewing if they got the questions right or just if they got them wrong? I am trying to make sure I am studying the most efficient way
If I am starting to get questions wrong at first but then right during blind review what steps should I be taking to get them right the first attempt?
me too I hate that it went from being right in the text to being inferences so fast
this was so hard to blind review for me I really thought B was the right answer but then blind reviewing was hard so I thought my answer was still right
so does the subject not matter in these kinds of questions, I remember doing other questions and JY would say this is not the subject we are talking about so we dont care what it says (which is what I did and canceled C out) I see why C is right now but want to make sure my approach is right. #help
