Study Groups

I'm seeking someone who I can study with and also who I can maybe help on the LSAT. I've scored from 164-174 on practice tests and I might be able to help someone who doesn't have access to professional tutoring/LSAT classes. I learn by explaining, so I think this would be helpful for me and for the other person. I started at a 158 and I've learned a lot to help me raise my score, I'd love to help someone else raise their score too.

I'd prefer a female study buddy because I'm a girl, but this isn't 100% necessary. I have trouble focusing in groups, so we would study 1-on-1 at a local coffee shop or library or something.

Hey 7Sagers, I'm leading BR calls for PT 67 Reading Comprehension.

There will be four sessions total.

All sessions will be from 10pm - 12am ET / 7pm - 9pm PT. Please see detailed schedule below.

What happens in these sessions?

We'll read the passage together, paragraph by paragraph. I'll ask you to make low resolution summaries of each paragraph. We'll use those low res summaries to build higher resolution summaries. Then, we'll answer the questions together.

How should I prepare?

Have a clean, unmarked copy of the PT ready in front of you so we can read and answer the questions together. Please wear headphones and try to be in a quiet place.

Hey Everyone!

My name is Isabella, and I am currently studying for the September LSAT in Philadelphia, PA. I was posting to see if anyone in the area would be interested in starting an in-person study group for the September LSAT!

Best of luck with your studies!!

Hi all! I am taking the LSAT for the third time around in July and would like to change my approach slightly by working with other lsat-ers instead of alone. Before both of the last two tests I took, my PT's were averaging around 172 which is my target score but unfortunately I've been underperforming on the real day because of nerves. I think I have a pretty strong grasp of the LSAT and would make a good study partner for whoever is looking for one. Willing to meet in person in downtown NYC or virtually. DM me if interested!

I want to start a study group for people who will be studying full time this summer. We'll use the group to discuss, motivate and keep tabs on each other.

Optional Sunday morning sessions ( any suggestions?):

PT 54

PT 56

PT 59

Take the scheduled practice exam under timed conditions before each session.

We will focus on the Logical Reasoning sections only.Next, blind review on your own by breaking down the stimulus, picking the answer choice you feel is correct, and write or type out your reasoning for each correct choice and 4 incorrect answer choices (which will help you remember your train of thought during the study session). Please do not check your answers after your blind review on your own.

Then, input the most difficult questions into the excel spreadsheet before the session. This will let us know what we need to focus on, so we can use our time more efficiently:

    Hello Folks:

Fresh from our LG Boot Camp on Sunday (Thanks to those who attended) I figure I'll take a different track with my next session. Our last session comprised of a wide swath of PT's across the entire spectrum so I wanted to drill deeper into a specific PT for this session. So on Sunday I will host a session where we can dissect every section in PT 41.

LR, LG and RC (Yes RC!)

We already have BR sessions for LR but LG and RC barely get any love. We can talk about LR questions if you wish but think of this as an opportunity to discuss all sections of a PT with fellow 7 sagers.

    What Is this:

an open discussion about PT 41, going over all sections. Think about an office hours type situation for the LSAT but instead of TA's and professors you have fellow sagers helping you out.

    When:

    10 AM (EST) April 21st

    Where:

    Online!

Who are you and why are you doing this?

My name is Michael and I am a Lawschool hopeful from Canada. My aim is to get a score of 170 on my next LSAT. My recent attempts have landed me at 161 and 166 respectively and the LG section has been my downfall each time. I want to get better and I want to help you get better so we can all achieve our goals.

I'm looking for a study buddy for accountability and BR. Currently, I'm finishing up the CC and plan on moving on to the PT's.

My diagnostic score was a 156, and my target is 173; the plan is to take take the LSAT sometime in the fall or winter of 2019/2020. I'm pretty much studying full-time, so my study schedule is pretty flexible. I've been studying for a while now and am almost ready to start focusing almost exclusively on PT's.

I've found that going through the reasoning of a LG or a LR passage and orally making the inferences with another person is quite helpful -- the same might be for you. Just the fact that you aren't stuck in your thoughts is crucial.

Let me if you are interested, and we can see if we work well together.

Looking for a serious study person who can commit 1-2x a week during the week, preferably M-Thurs after 6:30pm-8:30pm living in Manhattan (im in FIDI for work), and prepping for the June LSAT. If Queens, during the weekend (mornings preferably). I would like to have someone to bounce critical thinking with for questions and go over exams. I am looking to get in the 160s. I am also going to Manhattan Prep weekly for their free proctored exams so I can build stamina for the exam. Don't be shy!

Hi looking for a study buddy to take PT's and BR together. Planning on taking July '19 exam.

I'm located in LA proper (East Hollywood/Silver Lake). I study at LA City College. Message me if interested.

Curious if anyone in the Portland metro area is currently studying with 7sage. I’m still in CC myself currently but would love to get a study buddy routine going for weekly or biweekly in person meetups to review and drill. I’ve really gotten a lot out of and enjoyed focused study groups in the past.

I’m working towards taking the September LSAT for the fall 2020 cycle.

Hi friends, just tried to search to see if there’s already an nyc study group for the tests after march.. with no luck (but also the search functionality is weird on my phone).

Would anyone be interested? Alternatively if there’s already something like that, can you let me know how to reach out to them?

    Thanks!

Hi, @Trusttheprocess and I look for study buddies focusing on CC. We plan to put at least 15 h per week. We both finished CC not long time before, but right now we start over one more for better understanding. I believe it is important to DO IT RIGHT at the beginning. We can study together, share study tips, do drills and so on. If you are interested or in the CC phase, let us know!
