Hi there

As of today, I have been studying for the LSAT for about 3 months. My timed PTs were literally in all parts of the 150s. I only used the LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim during these three months, and I think this helped me to understand the really fundamentals well. I believe this is the case because --- I know some people feel really icky about untimed PTs --- I took about 10 untimed PTs, and they were never lower than 165. So, I decided to buckle up and study for this test a little more with 7sage (yes, from the beginning of the core curriculum) and apply next cycle perhaps.

I think I'm relatively good at studying by myself, but I think it would also be really nice to have a study partner of sorts and someone whom I can check in maybe every week or every other week with about our progresses (or regresses, it happens). If you are interested in something like his, please privately message me :)!

Hey everyone! My name is Emaan! I just started my LSAT journey here on 7sage but have been studying by myself these past couple of weeks. I'm looking to see if anyone is interested in a study group/accountability group/ just a place where we can talk about the test, the CC, discuss any questions, practice and just vent!

Comment below if you're interested!

Hi community! I am taking the November test and looking for accountability/BR partner. Currently scoring in the mid 160s and am trying to get close to 170 -- might be an unrealistic/ambitious goal as test date is close. LR/RC are my weaker sections, they alternate depending on the test, LG is 0 to -2. I am in the east coast and currently working + doing a masters, but I can be flexible during evening time/weekends. My goal is to take and BR at least 2 PTs a week and also go over LR fundamentals/basics and practice them with one or two study partners. Please let me know if you'd like to work together or have any tips for test takers struggling with LR (LR was -7 to -9 but brought it down to -4 to -5 after going through Loophole, but since then no improvement)!

Hi everyone,

I am looking for one study buddy who is still working through the core curriculum and aims to take the exam either Feb 2021 or April 2021 and preferably someone shooting for mid-upper 160s. I work a 40-hour/week corporate job so I need to be extremely regimental in my studying and would love to have someone to discuss and review, as well as keeping each other on track.

Reasonably my study schedule is as follows:

Monday-Friday: start studying between 6-8PM Central Time (Based in Austin, TX)

Saturday, Sunday: during the day

I think this would be more useful when we get to the PT part of the course (my goal is November) but I really want to work with someone from the start.

DM me if you think you'd be interested - we can chat on the phone or FaceTime to see if our goals are aligned and would get something out of working together.

Sophia :)

Hi there,

My name is Rob. I graduated in April and have a 3.92 GPA. I am PTing 150-160 with BR at 170+. I will be studying and prepping until my score is consistently over 170. I don't care about what cycle that puts me in.

I am looking for someone who REALLY wants to succeed at the LSAT and wants to help me succeed. I only want to work with ONE person. Any more than that and I do not feel it will be productive for me. If you're not up for that, please don't waste your time reaching out.

If you are interested in a rigorous and concentrated approach with no B.S. allowed, I would love to chat and see if our approaches to the exam are compatible. To do so, we can jump on the phone and talk or zoom to get more into details. Please consider this non-committal conversation a way for us to see how we might work together.

The study schedule that I can reasonably accommodate right now (through May 2021) is as follows:

Monday: Full Exam/Blind Review (3-5 hrs)

Tuesday: Single Section (30-45 min)

Wednesday: Single Section (30-45 min)

Thursday: Single Section (30-45 min)

Friday: Deep Review/Analysis (3-5 hours)

Saturday: Full Exam/Review (3-5 hrs)

Sunday: Review/Off (0-2 hrs)

I can foresee a "study buddy" relationship being as follows:

  • A regular phone call/zoom meeting to talk about questions/problems with LSAT
  • Regular accountability check-ins to push each other
  • If you're interested, message me directly. I only want people who are SERIOUS about this. Ultimately, I will only choose one person to work with.

    Thanks for your interest!

    Best,

    Rob

P.S. I hope that this note does not come off as me being disrespectful, mean, discriminatory, or overly-exclusive. I have a specific approach I want to take to my study for this exam, I need help, and this structure is what I can accommodate.

There was a post on getting a group together to study for/discuss the January test about a week ago, and a lot of people seemed interested- I got in contact with the OP and went ahead and started a GroupMe today, already a few have joined. Several people taking November as well so it's not necessarily just a January thing. Link to join is at the bottom of that post but I don't know if everyone will see it, so here it is:

    Hi All,

Wanted to see if anyone was interested in doing a study group for the November exam. I'm currently scoring in the mid 60's trying to break into the 70's. I'm mostly struggling with LR & RC and am pretty solid on LG so if anyone wants to study together let me know! Figured we could make a groupme or something i'm in NY so would ideally love to study with other people on EST but am more than happy to study with anyone :)

UPDATE: Awesome will email y'all tonight!

For those of you who are planning to take the exam this year and/or applying to law school this year, here's some niche fb study groups.

    Black LSAT Study Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/534432184138845/

    BLM Supporters Study Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/300232194528457/

For those working full time: https://www.facebook.com/groups/953107761786529

Not affiliated with any of these groups, I just thought it would be helpful for those looking for specific types of support/community/accountability. Wishing you all the best of luck.

P.S If anyone identifies as Latina, feel free to message me! Would love to hear how your studies are going!

    Hi!

I noticed there were a few study groups for november lsat but they were all had a lot of traffic so maybe we can start another group?

Looking to hit upper 160s. Maybe we can go over questions we missed a few times a week on PTs. Leave your email!

Also I was thinking it'd be great to chat one another but I'm not sure what people are willing to give out. After I message you/email you what would you guys like to use to chat or schedule meetings?

EDIT: Hey guys I'm probably going to end up capping this study group now. Thanks so much for all the responses

    November LSAT

Hi! I'm signed up for the November LSAT and am currently scoring in the 167-169 range. Would anyone like to form a study group? I am looking for people to help keep each other accountable and form a study schedule! Leave your e-mail below if interested :)

Currently PTing in the low-170s and hoping to get a small group together to help everyone score consistently in the mid-high 170s by the November exam!

My study schedule is roughly all day on the weekends + weekdays before 1pm PST.

Let me know if you're interested and we can get a group going on whatever platform works best for everyone :)

I'm looking for 2-3 people to be study buddies for the Nov test. I'm aiming to take my ~170 to 175+ (horrible undergrad GPA) and it'd be nice to review with folks in a similar boat, plus I usually do better in small groups or 1-on-1!

I'm in PST timezone, we could use Google hangouts and/or Discord, or whatever you're comfortable with. My most common study time is weekends and around 3pm-6pm PST on weekdays, so might work well with EST folks studying in the evening too. Tentatively, I'll be spending Sept 21 - Nov 7 working through PTs 60s and then 80s. (Saving 70s for in case I need a retake in Jan). If that plan lines up with anyone else out there, I'd love to hear from you!
