Is it worth doing if you don't get into the full time program?
Anyone in the San Jose/Milpitas/Cupertino/Mtn View/Sunnyvale/Palo Alto area who is down to study together?
Is it better to take the September LSAT if I want to enroll for the fall of 2015? Or would it matter if I change my test date to the December LSAT? Do schools give all of their scholarship money to their first applicants?
Hi there. I received my Sept LSAT score (167) last night and scored substantially lower than my prep-tests (avg173). I knew walking out of the test that my score would be lower as I screwed up the timing on my RC section pretty substantially and ended up rushing through the last passage, barely reading and answering the questions. My top school is NYU -- I was planning on applying ED and for the RTK scholarship. I am going to retake in December, but this eliminates the opportunity to apply ED and for the RTK scholarship ( I think?).
I guess I'm wondering if there are any other options-- is there any point in applying ED with my Sept. LSAT score and allowing my December score to come in later? Or is it possible to apply to the RTK scholarship with a Dec LSAT score (the application is technically due Jan 1st. but Dec. LSAT score release date is Jan 4th).
Applying as early as possible is something that has been emphasized so much by advisors that I guess I'm feeling apprehensive about a December retake, but I am confident that I can raise my score by at least 3 pts.
Any Advice would be much appreciated.
Hey,
I'm looking to get a study group together for the November LSAT in Austin, Texas. If you are in Austin and studying for the LSAT, let me know!
.
Anyone from the area (UNT, TWU, etc.) want to get together?
I find myself getting stuck on a lot of weaken/strengthen questions in RC because I just don't know how to approach it. In LR I always tell myself to look for assumptions and overlooked possibilities, and in general think of making the premises less supportive or stronger support for the conclusion, and also staying away from trap answers that independently attack the conclusion or deny premises. However, in RC there's not really clear premises or reasoning so I find it hard to wrap my head around how we're supposed to then strengthen or weaken an author's argument, and whether we should consider ACs that seem to independently go against their position or give an independent reason to strengthen it.
Any suggestions on how to think about these questions?

The leaves are turning, decorative gourds are everywhere, and the law school admissions cycle is in full swing. We break it all down, from the statistics regarding enrolling 1L classes (up), to LSAT numbers (up!), to a look ahead at what this likely means for application numbers (UP!).
Also see if you can spot the error regarding the year in which Cecil Fielder hit over 50 home runs for the Detroit Tigers!
Ahh, ok- so some popcorn takes longer than 3 minutes, I get it now. I think?
I can't wait to input my answers and get a detailed analysis of my performance. When will 7sage release the grader for PT 72?
Tough. Choice (E) is correct.
You can tell by using the
contrapositive on both of these statements:
If not (prices fall as rapidly as/more rapidly than
competitors),
then not (production costs fall as rapidly or more rapidly).
if NOT (production costs fall AS rapidly), then NOT (not slower to adopt new tech)
= as fast as competitors to adopt new technology.
Hi everyone. As i got closer to test day my scores kind of dipped for various reasons. Also i had struggled with timing for most of my process especially in RC and LG(for some reason). Timing was the biggest deterrent to my score, and so i attempted some tweaks that seem to have helped me out (along with a lot of repetition in LG types and RC sections). For the Logic games i started doing the 3rd game first, then the fourth, then the second, the thirst. This is risky for multiple reasons, but I havent struggled to finish a section since i picked it up, and my accuracy is usually -0. The RC solution is really a suggestion predicated on my experience and that is trying to answer most questions without referring back to the passage. I realize this may seem obvious and a lot of you probably do this already, but i realized that i spent way too much time trying to verify answers that i suspected to be right, in most cases, if im not sure, i eliminate wrong answers and go with my hunch and comeback to it later if time allows. All in all im sure this isnt too enlightening. Anybody else have any last second tweaks? and Good luck to Sept LSAT takers and future LSAT takers in general.
Hey All!
This may be a long shot, but if there is anyone in Kuala Lumpur studying for the LSAT and would like to join forces please let me know.
When we violate a principle, are we essentially negating that principle?
PRINCIPLE: If you intentionally misrepresent someone's beliefs, then you do so in the interest of another person.
VIOLATION: If you intentionally misrepresent someone's beliefs, then you DO NOT do so in the interest of another person.
I am basing my example off of LSAT PT 140 S1Q19.
Glad I saw this game with the outlier game types cropping up on current tests! Went in with way to cookie cutter of a diagram on the front end. Incredibly thankful for being able to adapt even tho it wasn't as quick as I would have preferred.
(kind of reminded me of assumptions I made on the multi-tiered car dealership game)
Hey guys, I was just wondering if I am signed up for January 2020 and will maybe take future LSAT's after that date, should I only be doing time practice tests under "Digital" conditions? No more paper and pencil practice exams? Just wanted to get some ideas from everyone out there? Thanks
I am planning on taking the LSAT December 3, in Annapolis if anyone wants to join me and make a study group!!!
When will we see the next available test dates after april?
Hi there! Looking for a study partner in Upstate NY for Sept. 2014 LSAT.
Still new to studying for the LSAT, just started in April/May.
Hi everyone I'm looking for the 180watch or any other similar watch that has a button that resets it. Message me if anyone is selling or knows of a similar watch I could buy. Thank you all!

I've finally managed to get my accuracy down (the score that I'd like to get in each section untimed) but am having a hard time transferring that over to timed sections and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how long it took for you to get your time down.
It's really frustrating and it doesn't help that I'm a risk adverse test taker!!!
Hi everyone!
Some of you may remember I made a poll about a month back regarding my uncertainty about taking the LSAT in December, well, after reading everyone’s advice I opted for the best choice: take the LSAT at a later date!
Before the deadline, I sent LSAC an email with an attached refund request, which they provide online. I haven’t received any response from them, LSAC I mean. Should I go ahead and withdraw? I don’t want to lose my refund, but more importantly, I don’t want to be marked a no show for the December LSAT!
Any thoughts? Have any of you guys had this experience ?
Thanks :)
