wanting to get into the 160s what can be done to reach that score

We have three people showing up at an upcoming study session at Gangnam on Wednesday, July 9 from 8:00 pm-11:00 pm. One member has an official score of 172 and the other member is scoring in mid-150s. We are looking to hit at least 175+ on the LSAT. The fee for using a study cafe meeting room is only 1,900 KRW per person for each hour. We do not make a profit out of this study session. I scored in the low 170s for my past 3 PTs with -0 LG / -1 to -5 LR / -3 to -5 RC. I felt so confident after writing the PTs and after spending around 3 hours on BRs (ie. thinking I'm going to get -0 in LR). I guess my problems is I really can't figure out the correct answer for some questions even without the time constraints.

How do i move forward? I have only completed 25% of CC, should I go back to CC and leave PT for a while?

Hey everyone, I am hoping y'all have some advice on how you go about reading comprehension on the digital LSAT. A lot of the CC teaches methods like a low res summary next to the paragraph and slashes indicating a switch in topic. Any recommendations on how to make the most out of your scratch paper for RC? I am currently struggling the most with RC and I am really eager to make improve. Any advice is appreciated!

JY often says that it's a good idea to scan the question types in a LG before deciding whether to split: if there will be more gameboards than questions without additional premises, then it's best not to split; if there are more questions without additional premises than gameboards, it's worth splitting.

I understand that it would be easy to scan these on paper versions of the test, but I am wondering whether others do this on digital versions of the test? Do people click through the questions to see what type they are before diagramming? Is this time efficient on the digital version of the test?

To my understanding, the push stoke was a defect with the new garden rake. And if it is the only defect, then the evaluation between the new gardening rake and the straight rake stands cause it is base on the whatever defect the new gardening rake has and it is the push stoke.

This question doesn't have an explanation, so here's my thought process.

Question Stem- Principle Question

Stimulus- Machines and tech alter our choices. (example). Clock altered our choices by allowing synch +. HOWEVER, clock also closed some doors. Living without clock is kinda impossible now.

So Machines and tech that alter our choices can have some downsides as well.

A. This makes sense, however, the use of "enslave" and "liberate" sounds really extreme. Keep for now.

B. No. The stimulus no where says what people should and shouldn't do.

C. That MAY be true, however, not what the stimulus is saying.

D. The stimulus does not weigh the pros and cons, so we don't know if it was worth our dependence or not.

E. "Most"??? We only know about one instance that made our life more synchronized and productive. There MAY be more machines. However, that is not within the scope of the premises, and therefore out.

Can someone explain why B is the right answer? The stem states that it is unknown why people purchased broadsides, or how their beliefs related to the broadsides. If these statements are true, why does having having crime and adultery in the broadsides show that people may not have been serious about moral values? Aren't the two given statements proof that the broadsides don't have to be truly moral for the 17th century people to be moral?

For each drill question, it shows a "curve" for the likelyhood of someone with that score getting the question right. But im feeling a bit confused on what that exactly means. So if the black bar is at "135" for example, it means that someone with a 135 was likely to get that question right?

Hi all! I have been doing well with the concepts behind how to weaken an argument. Don't attack the premise or conclusion, rather thin out and weaken the support structure. However, I seem to get it on the first round but in my BR I end up falling for the trap answers and just changing my course of reasoning. Helppp!!! Any and all tips are welcome!

Hello everybody! Looking to start a study group/groupme for those planning to take the LSAT in 2023. Currently shooting for the upper 160's and hoping to take the test in February/April. After studying for only 2 months while working full time and only getting through one section of the LSAT, I've brought my score up from a 144 to a 152. Although it's not great yet, I personally believe it's possible to improve even more, especially with the help of others. I'll link the groupme below for anybody interested!

Is it alright to give examples that are not stated in the prompt to support your ideas? I completed writing PT 82 about the filmmaker, and I found myself talking a little bit about creativity and potential advertising opportunities instead of focusing solely on the furnishings of the locations.

I am currently looking for study buddies that are in a similar life stage as I am. I was interested to see if any parents or older individuals out there are interested in studying together or working through certain questions together. I know my study schedule is 4-7:30 am, mid day (random times while my son is napping), after 8:30 PM (if I have energy) and weekends.

Just looking for someone that understands the parental struggles but still would want to be able to study/discuss the test with someone.

For the time scheduling of the lsat that is done through Proctor U, does anyone know if we need to create an account with Proctor U before scheduling or do we wait for the email to come in with instructions? I tried to create an account but I didn't know what institution to put.

I have been scoring between 160-163 on most of the PTs. On all of the PTs 80s I have score above 160 and up. Average is 161. But every time I do the PTs above the 90s, the newest ones from 2020, I always score in the upper 150s.

My question is: are the PTs in the 90s unusually harder? The RC section in PT 91 is mind-blowing hard and it felt abnormally harder than any other PT I have ever taken.

Back when I started taking PTs to study, I didn't realize that I should save the more recent tests for when I was closer to my test date, and took the tests beginning with PT 92. I'm taking the LSAT in August and was wondering if people have an opinion whether it would be better to retake more recently administered tests I've already taken, or take older tests with which I'm unfamiliar? I've retaken 91 and 92 recently (took them originally back in March) and only recalled a few questions from them, but I do fear that my scores are potentially skewed by those few! I'll only have a chance to take one or two more tests before the actual exam but was just curious what people might have to say. Good luck to my fellow August test takers!

My name is Ken Kim. We are a group of five people planning to take the LSAT either this October or in a couple of years. We have members scoring from 160-172 either on the official test or practice tests. Some of us are committed full-time to the test while some of us are working at a company, law firm, etc. We meet on the following dates at the Gangnam station Exit 9 Wing Study Cafe.

8:00 pm-11:00 pm, Monday

8:00 pm-11:00 pm, Wednesday

8:00 pm-11:00 pm, Friday

2:00 pm-5:00 pm, Sunday

We usually meet and do questions from LR and RC. We match our answers and discuss why each one of us have chosen an answer we chose. The fee for joining the study is free other than paying for the studying cafe fee which is 1,900 KRW per person for each hour (5,700 KRW total).
