Hi all,

My PT score does not reflect my drill score. I consistently get -0 to -3 on individual LR timed sections (some of these are older tests, some are fairly new). On full PT LR sections, I get around -5/-6, regardless of the order of sections. There have been only a select few times I've gotten -3 or better on LR PTs, but those were a few months ago.

BR score for LR is usually -1/-3, so I don't think it's a lack of comprehension or understanding of the material...

Any tips on getting my PT score to better reflect my drilling score? I suspect it's a matter of PT stress, but are there any other major reasons you think there's a difference that I'm overlooking?

Advice much appreciated, thanks!

Hi all, at this point I've submitted all my JD applications for entry into the class of 2024, but I just got (very delayed) feedback on my resume from a former supervisor. The comments were valuable and, when applied, I think do make my resume a bit stronger. Would you recommend that I email law schools this updated/revised resume? Or is there a chance that could reflect poorly on me?

The advice my supervisor gave me was to take out an academic experience and replace it with a professional experience (an investment banking internship at a prestigious firm) that I had originally left out. He also suggested some language and tweaks that buffed up my leadership roles a bit. So it's not fixing mistakes or updating it with new, more recent info. Rather, the edits highlight different experiences from my past that I previously left out. I would love for schools to see this new version, but obviously do not want to appear like I did not properly review my materials the first time around.

I'm (30F) registered to re-take the LSAT in January after scoring a 161 previously. Find me studying in a DC Public Library, Georgetown university, and coffee shops in downtown D.C. I have a plethora of organized study prep materials and would love too have someone join me at my study table!

If any of you live in DC - MD - NOVA leave a comment below to connect!

I was wondering what the main differences between most strongly supported questions and Weakening questions such as how to approach them?

Normal:

Strongly Supported:

  • The Stimulus does not have an argument, but rather premises
  • You have to find the conclusion of the argument in the answer choices
  • Weakening:

  • The Stimulus has an Argument (Premises/Conclusion)
  • You have to find the answer that weakens the support between the premises and conclusion in the answer choices
  • Causation and Phenomenon-Hypothesis:

    Strongly Supported:

  • The Stimulus has a phenomenon and hypothesis
  • You have to find the answer that blocks out alternative hypothesis
  • Weakening:

  • The Stimulus has a phenomenon and hypothesis
  • You have to find the answer that is competing or corroborating with the hypothesis
  • Please let me know if this is wrong and how I can improve my understanding.

    Thanks.

I took the July LSAT and am looking to do the writing section, however when I go to the LSAT Writing section there is not a link to launch for the July LSAT that I took. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I have consistently been getting -8/-9 on every timed LR section that I do for the past month. When I BR, I tend to get -6/-7. I have tried drilling harder question types, but nothing seems to be sticking. Should I go back to the core curriculum? I read through all of Loophole too. Taking the Nov LSAT and frustrated I can't seem to master LR.

I think I understand why D is the correct answer choice. However, I am curious as to what you guys think is the best way to approach this question? Clearly using an in an out game board is the best choice. However, this question was hard for me to answer quickly just because it felt like a question that required a lot of trial and error, which obviously didn't work out (especially time wise).

Looking for someone scoring between -5 and -0 on LR sections to discuss/review LR questions with.

Preferably we'd meet once a week for 1-2 hours and either agree on an LR section to do and then review some questions from it together, or we'd collect a few LR questions that we came across over a week that we think would be interesting to analyse together.

I can only do weekdays 11 am - 1 pm EST and weekends 8 am - 1 pm EST.

Hey I'm working on PrepTest 33 S4 G1Q5 (among others) and I keep having issues with complicated question formats.

The general version of the wording that most trips me up is "Which of the following must be true EXCEPT" and an answers like "_____ is not 4". Individually I can deal with these, like when I have an "EXCEPT" question or negative answer choice, but together I keep going in circles.

Are there any steps I should be during to answer these questions without spending 3+ min on them?

For reference, I get -2ish on LG so I am focused on fine tuning, so skipping is something I want to avoid at this point..

    Thank you in advance!

Hi I scored a 144 on the July LSAT flex with little to no studying. I'm scheduled to take the October LSAT and my goal score is a 155. If anybody is willing to either join me in a study group or be my tutor it'd be greatly appreciate! Willing to pay! Please get back to me, I need as much help as possible!

Hey everyone. When do you recommend I register for the June LSAT? I'm not referring to the scheduling "window" that will open around May. I referring to simply signing up to take it before the April 22 deadline. Is there a difference if I register today or, say, 2 weeks from now?

Hello I am taking the January LSAT next week and I have two questions. I am struggling with flaw questions when its not one of the common flaws listed. I have tried using the piecewise analysis when looking at answer choices, or trying to see if its descriptively accurate and weakens but I am still struggling to get them right. I think I also have issues because I am trying to not negate the premises and conclusions, but some of the correct answer choices does negate them? I think its hard for me to recognize a flaw because I get overwhelmed that there is so many ways to destroy an argument.

I feel like i am missing easy points if anyone has any tips

I am genuinely so lost when it comes to this section, and I don't really want to move on until I am sure I have a better grasp. Can anyone help me when it comes to what these questions are even asking? I know it is a weakening question, but how do I differentiate a causation question from a basic weakening question. And once I figure out it is a causation question, how do I go about solving it????

Does anyone have a strategy for the LSAT flex? I was just going to skip one of the LR sections when taking the test. Then go back and do it after I finish the test. Does anyone know if 7Sage is working on a flex option?

I've had kind of a rough history with the LSAT. My first exam was in Jan 2021. In 2023, I took the exam 3 times (Jan, Aug, October) and then took it in January of 2024. Long story short, I really pressured myself to get a great score for the 2023 cycle and it backfired on me. For the Jan 2024 exam, I received some bad news about my grandma concerning her health before my exam and it severely impacted my performance.

I submitted an appeal to LSAC to register for the August 2024 exam, but they aren't reviewing appeals for the 2024-2025 cycle until registration for the August exam opens. Do I have a chance at getting my appeal approved?
