Hi All,

My question is: from "the more Xs, the more Ys", could I infer "the less Xs, the less Ys"?

This inference seems neither a valid nor a strongly supported inference to me, because we can't infer a negative corelation from a positive correlation. Still, I am very unsure. Anyone can share your thoughts?

Thanks a lot.

I am about 75% done with the core Curriculum. I have to go back and finish some of the LR practice problem sets. I’ve been doing the CC since second week of February, and been grinding non stop studying each of these sections. I started taking PTs again this weekend. And literally didn’t improve but went down in score. Has this been happening to anybody else? Since not only has my morale gone down now. I’m starting to panic With test date being June 11. And I can’t even break into the 140s yet. With the score I need for my score being a 146-148.

Any advice would super appreciated!

Hello everyone!

It's been about 8 months since I started studying for the LSAT, and I have just reached 160/low 160s. My diagnostic was a 148. However, I might have to study for another year because my goal score is a 172+. I study for about 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. I am drilling sections, taking practice tests, blind reviewing the ones I got wrong, have been using 7sage, and reviewing Loophole. Is it normal to study 1-2 years for the LSAT? Feeling very discouraged and incompetent right now because I am seeing people study for about 6-8 months and get 170+. Any advice will help. Thank you!

I am reviewing the RC section of the core curriculum. I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions about how to improve the reading speed. As a non-native English speaker, I had hard time finishing reading the full text of some passages (e.g. PT33 Sec 2) within 3.5 minutes. While I tried to speed up the reading, I had hard time grasping the gist, and thereby decreased the accuracy of the answer choices.

Looking for someone who I can BR with for the June LSAT (BRing with someone has shown to help out for both accountability and discussion of questions), Scoring 163-166 over my last 6 PT's, looking for someone who scores in a similar range and wants to BR and bounce ideas off of for methods/Q strategies/ Etc.

How will Lsac show writing written on paper to law schools? is it a scan of the hand writing or they will show the typed version? I have been approved for paper and pencile accomodations but Im just wondering that how they will show it on my account to law schools cause if they just show a scan of it then it might affect schools decision as they would find out that I was accomodated upon my disability

I'm planning to apply for law schools for the Fall 2023 admission cycle and have an interest in patent law. I have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a 3.7 GPA and I have some electrical and software engineering work experience. My end goal is to do patent prosecution for a patent boutique. I'm taking the LSAT this month and think I can realistically expect a score of ~165.

Is anyone familiar with what schools I could expect to give full/substantial scholarships with these stats and background?

Hey 7Sagers, I just wanted to point out some issues I have had with the website the past few weeks (Idk if you guys have experienced the same but I hope things can change soon as it is becoming a bit annoying) (Using Chrome on Dell Inspiron).

Issue 1 - When I review my PT results with the list of questions with times, answers etc. when I move my mouse over any of the time that I took to answer the black box comes up showing my time in each visit, the target time but it will not go away once my curser is off it. It stays up regardless of what question I pull up and it gets in the way forcing me to reset the page.

Issue 2 - When I go into my analytics and try to see the changes in BR in my chart, the lines for question incorrect answers do not change. It is becoming increasingly hard to review my analytics, something that is both extremely important to not only my studies but to what 7SAGE has as a website that puts it far ahead of other Prep courses/sites.

Really hope these gets fixed as it is becoming increasingly frustrating to even look over PT answers for review and analytics to see what I got wrong.

The question is asking for us to resolve the paradox. Basically, the question is saying that there is an increase in % and a decrease in the total population, and is asking us how this is possible.

Pre-phrase - The denominator (i.e. the total population must have decreased) That way, you have a higher %.

B - This is what the answer is, but the part specifically "in the year before last" threw me completely off. I googled what this means, and it basically translates to "two years ago"

But, how does that resolve the paradox? If two years ago, there was a substantial decline in the population, that doesn't solve the issue. If it were last year, that would totally make sense, but the year before last = 2 years ago which is already provided in the stimulus.

Are they alluding to two different times two years ago? (i.e. Maybe the death happened in the later part of the year whilst the 32 case count was from the earlier part of the year?)

Sorry if I am slow (I know, it's question #1), but that clause was a red flag for me that deterred me in choosing it.

Hey I just had a quick question and wondered if anyone had some advice on how to get through all 4 passages on the reading comp section. Accuracy isn't really my problem, it seems like time is as I can only complete 2 passages. Any advice? How fast are some of you reading?

This is something we all say and then we either create groups, join groups or even try to join a group by responding to post on here, but nothing really comes from it.

I for one am in need to a study partner, AND this time around I am going to take the reins and start this and pray that it is effective for all of us.

I don’t care whether you are starting out or an expert. If you are scoring in the 120's-150's or the 160-170s. Your timezone or availability doesn't matter one bit! There are no questions I have or requirements you need to meet to join this group.

This group is for anyone who would benefit from another LSAT Studier/Taker. We all have an opportunity to learn from and help each other let's do what we do and beat this test together.

I am about to fool proof all games from PTs 1-35. Is it recommended to fool proof by game type? Meaning is it better to do, say, all of the in/out games from 1-35, then turn to other game types? Or is it recommended to go straight through the games in PTs 1-35 and, therefore, be exposed to many different game types in a random order?

I've finished almost all the CC and I've taken 5 full length tests so far. I'm registered for the April exam and intend to take the June exam as well. I'm struggling to bridge my BR and timed scores. Timed I have yet to break 155. BR I'm hitting 161-164. My goal is a 165+. Any advice on whether I should continue to take full length tests and crank them out or focus on drilling timed sections? I'm feeling a bit stuck and anxious. Thanks!

What should I do about these games? I'm foolproofing PT1-35 and I hit the stretch of PT10-16 and there was one pattern game on each and I was just dumbfounded. I couldn't do it on first glance and it has me worried if it pops up in 2022.

https://www.reddit.com/r/LSAT/comments/ajfrzi/comprehensive_list_of_rarely_tested_logic_games/

on that list, there was a 20 year gap between the pattern games. Why did it just come up in the mid 2010s again?

I'm just worried bc most of the misc games I've came across in PT1-35 had me paralyzed when I first saw them. Although, I think I wouldn't see some of those misc games on the newer LSATs like the train station and the pattern one with words(hopefully not). What are y'all thoughts and advices on this?

I have noticed that any given PrepTest on lawhub.lsac.org has a particular sequence of sections which differ significantly from the corresponding PrepTest on 7sage.com. For example, PrepTest 86 on lawhub.lsac.org shows that S1 is an LG, S2 and S3 are LR, and S4 is RC. Whereas PT 86 on 7Sage.com shows that S1 corresponds to S3 (second LR) on lawhub, S2 corresponds to S1 (LG), S3 corresponds to S4 (RC), and S4 corresponds to S2 (first LR).

Is there a pedagogical reason for this decision by 7Sage? Can one expect a materially different score by altering the chronology of the sections one takes in a given PT?

I will soon finish the CC and plan to fool proof all games from tests 1-35 before I start taking PTs. My question is: when fool proofing, should you BR a game each time you complete it? I realize that, in most instances, you will do a game multiple times and watch JY's explanation for the game multiple times, so should you BR each game each time you complete them? Or should you go straight to the explanation video once you've done the game two or three times?
