I need some guidance on how to drill LR, LG and RC. Basically I need to practice LR, LG and RC in between PTs and I’m trying to mirror the drill to PTs so I can practice individual sections and hone in on weaknesses. What’s the best way to do this?

After studying for almost 2 years I have come to the conclusion that it is nearly impossible to improve on RC and to do all 4 passages under timed conditions. What are some ways that helped you get to all 4 passages under timed conditions as well as get under double digits with regards to wrong answers? I usually get 10-12 wrong on RC sections and I want to at least get to -9.

Thanks.

This is a necessary assumption question. The correct answer : "parts that satisfy our govt standards are not the same poor quality as cheap foreign parts." But the premise already states that the country has the toughest automotive tests in the world. I want to understand that this assumption is not contradicting the premise.

Where am I getting wrong?

Hello all!

I am looking to start a LSAT study/discord group where we can have set times to meet and discuss certain topics (conditional statements, LR questions types, etc), strategies, as well as review PTs.

I am PST and am hoping for something either evenings or Sundays. Time has yet TBD.

My hope is that I can gather enough people to sort of allow more groups to splinter off, just so there are times that can work for everyone--maybe a group Monday evenings from 6-8p; then a group Sunday 12-2p, or something of the sort.

A little about me: I work part-time and am working my way up through PTs. I'm around the early 20's currently. I have availability at strange times in the afternoon and usually during the evening, as well as on Sunday. I am aiming for 180. It'd be cool to get other like-minded people to gather.

Since the LSAT is all about critical reading skills and tenacity, I am only looking to work with serious minded learners who are committed to participating in an enriching study group. That being said, please PM to ask for the discord link. Commenting on this post will not suffice! Yes, lol, this is a real "did you read the syllabus" moment. But again, I will gladly send a discord link to those who PM me!

Thank you and good luck!

If someone has done this question about water vapor and oceans and got it correct: can you please explain to me? I am not understanding the correlation between precipitation and the concentration of oxygen in seawater. I chose A originally if someone can also tell my why thats wrong. Thank you guys!! Appreciate any help :)

HLS website and application says the following. I'm wondering if anyone has put it to test for HYS or HLS specifically. I don't see this at Yls website.

How many times may I re-apply to the J.D. program?

Applicants may apply for admission to Harvard Law School through the regular J.D. application no more than three times.

Anyone with first-hand experience with this? Is this a lifetime limit and other schools have similar limit?

Does it not matter whether their score or jobs changed after 3 applications?

This will be a very active and focused study group that strongly encourages accountability and comraderie **(Imessage or SnapChat only- sorry andriod users)**.

The requirement for this group is to study for a minimum of 3 times a week (or ideally more). The members of the group will be required to send photo proof each time they sit down to study. At the end of the week (Sunday), if someone has not sent at least 3 seperate photos proving that they have studied, then they will be eliminated from the group. No Exceptions.

The group will also be encouraged to plan and attend muted video chat study calls, talk about when they studied each day and how long, what they learned, and provide motivation and support to each other, and overall help each other through this grueling process.

Anyone who joins the group must be planning to take the Friday, Aug 12, 2022 test. As the test date gets closer, we will be doing practice test drills at least 2x a week or more using 7Sage. Again, members will be kicked out of the group if they are not participating in the practice test drills.

If a member of the group is sending photo study proof every week, but is not engaging in muted study video calls or proving to be active in the study chat, they will also be elimintated because this group's objective is to be ACTIVE/MOTIVATING/ and HELPFUL. Staying engaged by even sending a uplifting quick text will spark motivation in others.

Members will continue to be added to the chat, as i imagine many will be eliminated. If you are interested, please comment that you are interested

Hi everyone! I know this question gets thrown around on the forum sometimes, but I'd love some clarity when it comes to bettering one's chances of admission from a timeline perspective as well as receiving adequate aid.

With that being said, what is considered pretty late? If one were to take the October or November LSAT, is applying soon after considered late? Appreciate everyone's thoughts.

I've done close to 12 PTs in the past month and I've noticed that my LG score varies significantly than that of my drills. Usually when drilling LG I can get anywhere from -4 to -0 on a cold section. However, when taking PTs my LGs are awful ranging from -4 to -8 in some cases. Does anyone have any tips on how to close this gap ? I think I'm decent at LG but for some I just cant rely on it during an actual PT.

I just wanted to log back onto 7Sage after several months (I took my last test in October) to thank JY and the 7Sage community for everything it has given me. This website helped me raise my LSAT score by 10 points and undoubtedly is a huge factor in my success this cycle. I applied to 18 schools and I've been accepted to 6 of them (including a T30 and 2 full rides in the T50). I've also been deferred at my #1 of GULC (fingers crossed for me) and I have high hopes for the remaining schools. I never thought I would make it to this point until I found 7Sage and finally started to understand my own learning process. Thank you everyone and good luck to everyone who is still studying for the LSAT! You got this!

My diagnostic was a 139 back in May of 2021. Currently scoring in the high 150s with a goal of 170 on the June LSAT. Currently -8ish on LR, -6ish on RC and anywhere from -1 to -5 on LG. Currently I'm doing 1 LG section per night with either an LR/RC in addition. I also do 1 PT per week. Tips on best way to improve?

So I didn't get a lot of sleep today and Ive been trying to do some new logic games but I feel sluggish and like my braining is buffering everything slowly. I'm gonna wait until I get a good night's sleep before I attempt anymore LSAT stuff but this left me with a question. Do you guys think the optimum way to study the LSAT is only when you get a good night of sleep or should we study the LSAT even if wwe're sleep deprived?

I began my LSAT journey long ago in August 2020. At first, it started with light research about the LSAT and then an intense urge to use Khan Academy's free LSAT services. It was a mistake. After burning through most of the recent available PTs, I found 7Sage and the PowerScore bibles. PowerScore really helped to solidify some basic principles of the test but I also realized it wasn't enough. When 7Sage offered their reduced fee for those with fee waivers, I started going through the core curriculum. Now, over a year a later, I just took my fourth LSAT in January and it felt great. I have gone through nearly every question in LSAT existence (that is available). My takeaways are:

  • Take the LSAT as many times as you can if you have a good reason to believe your LSAT score will increase.
  • DO EVERY LOGIC GAME. It is the only way that can basically guarantee a perfect section.
  • Do not neglect RC. The advice of the internet is that this section cannot be improved and that is blatantly false.
  • The LSAT is fun, it really is.
  • I went from a 154 diagnostic score, which is probably inflated since Khan Academy tells you to keep going when you run out of time, to scoring only in the 170s. By the time I sat down for the January LSAT, my average sections were LG (-0), LR (-1 to -2), and RC (-2 to -5) on average. The LSAT is certainly not an IQ test and is completely learnable if you give yourself the time!

I would like to get advices on how can I consistently improve until my test? I'm doing PT's more frequently now leading up to my test but ideally I need to score in the mid to high 150s. I blind review and watch the videos after too but my biggest problem is changing my thought process for LR.

    Thank you in advance!

I couldn't apply earlier this cycle due to a variety of personal reasons.

I was planning to apply to extreme reaches for me at HLS and a few other T6.

This is the last cycle I can apply before my LSAT score expires.

It's 171 from Sep-2016 and valid by LSAC only till this cycle.

Is it worth to apply this late at HLS?

I saw they have a deadline of Mar-1st, which makes it looks like there is still time to go and that they expect some applications to trickle even in Feb, or why would they have such a late deadline. (i may be wrong but iirc they used to have Feb1st as deadline).

How much of a difference is in applying now vs early Sep/Oct in the cycle?

So, starting January 17 to take the June test, requires over 50 hours a week of study. That's over 5 months, and the schedule requires 50 hours a week?! That can't be right. I can do 20-30 hours a week, so how do I adjust this in my schedule?

I hovered between (C) and (D) but ultimately chose (C) because I felt that (D)'s use of the word "misrepresent" was incorrect - it seems that the organicists don't misrepresent traditional analytical methods, so much as they simply don't understand them. Misrepresentation carries the weight of intentionality, which is forfeited when it's revealed that someone is simply ignorant.

Other than that, the answers strike me as very similar - would love to understand why (D) is right!

    Thanks.

Hello. I believe I will be done with the course by next week. My lsat is for February 2020. I know I will not be able to take all 99 prep tests before then but was wondering if I should go in order from prep test 1-15 lets say or start at prep test 75 and go from there?
