This will be a very active and focused study group that strongly encourages accountability and comraderie **(Imessage or SnapChat only- sorry andriod users)**.

The requirement for this group is to study for a minimum of 3 times a week (or ideally more). The members of the group will be required to send photo proof each time they sit down to study. At the end of the week (Sunday), if someone has not sent at least 3 seperate photos proving that they have studied, then they will be eliminated from the group. No Exceptions.

The group will also be encouraged to plan and attend muted video chat study calls, talk about when they studied each day and how long, what they learned, and provide motivation and support to each other, and overall help each other through this grueling process.

Anyone who joins the group must be planning to take the Friday, Aug 12, 2022 test. As the test date gets closer, we will be doing practice test drills at least 2x a week or more using 7Sage. Again, members will be kicked out of the group if they are not participating in the practice test drills.

If a member of the group is sending photo study proof every week, but is not engaging in muted study video calls or proving to be active in the study chat, they will also be elimintated because this group's objective is to be ACTIVE/MOTIVATING/ and HELPFUL. Staying engaged by even sending a uplifting quick text will spark motivation in others.

Members will continue to be added to the chat, as i imagine many will be eliminated. If you are interested, please comment that you are interested

So I've been noticing a trend lately where my RC score has been varying widely. Sometimes I'll score -4 and then the next day I'll score -10. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this problem and become more consistent on RC?

146 to 157!

So I am sure that a 157 isn't very impressive to many. I started studying for the LSAT during December 2021 after I accepted I would take a year off before applying to law school after graduation and then realized I didn't want to do that. I took my first LSAT in January 2022 and was so stressed out that I fully jinxed myself. I got a 146 and knew I couldn't apply anywhere with that. I signed up for the February LSAT as backup in January so decided to try again. I studied for 12 days and took the February LSAT but was way calmer this time. I got my score back last week and it was a 157! I full 11 point jump in 1 month! I'm sure it's lower than most people's standards but this got me into my ideal school's score range so I'm happy!!

New Study Group

Hello everyone!

I recently just restarted studying for the LSAT and I am looking to form a study group that meets a few times a week, Monday-Thursday. I am quite open to different studying times, although my preference is for afternoon (2-5pm). Mornings work for me as well.

The purpose of this study group is to hold each other accountable. We would each use the time to study whatever we'd like as opposed to discussing questions and LSAT topics. If you are interested, please let me know!

Thanks,

Matthew

Hi all,

Recently I went through 10 passages (old & recent) and totaled up all my missed questions.

My top two missed were InfAP and Inf OP overwhelmingly. Does anyone have guidance or tips for improving on these question types?

(For reference if needed, my third most missed was tied between InfAA, UAO, RecMP (lol) and RecS).

Thanks!

If you have done this passage and got Q14 right, would you mind explaining your thought process? The passage says "the second rationale is that a punishment is justified by severity of a crime." This leads me to interpret that the consequence (severity) of the crime matters to punishment. So I was looking at C and E. Can someone who has figured out this question explain where I went wrong? Thank you!

Hello! I would really appreciate any strategies to improve at LR. When I do the question types individually I do good on them, but when I do a full LR section I cannot seem to improve. Any strategies, tips, or studying patterns that anyone has to offer, please please tell me.

I BR and I go over my wrong answers and see where I made the mistakes. But that has not done a whole lot for me.

Hi. This is my first time posting on here!

Do your scores vary greatly? Mine do, and it's making me feel a little crazy. I have no idea if this happens to other folks, and, if it is preventable, what I can do about it.

My goal is to get a 170, at least. On Tuesday I got a 166- only 4 points away! Then today I scored a 158. What da fooq?

Granted, yes, I was feeling a little more tired today than I did the other day. Does tiredness cause an 8 point fall?! Should I always avoid taking a practice test if I'm not feeling up to it or is it good to sometimes push through (even if it means a lower score)?

I have no friends studying for the LSAT, much less friends who are trying to score 170+. Any advice on how to even out scores or even just confirmation that I'm not nuts would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi there, I'm wondering how to best approach taking simulated LSATs for the April exam. There will be 4 sections (LR, RC, LG, and one variable section) so when simulating the exams how should I account for that one variable section? Most 4 section tests on 7Sage have 2 LR sections and on test day there could be 2 LG/RC sections. Any advice would be appreciated!

I found correlation statement and causal statement are quite easy to confuse in LSAT. I think it is good to come up with list that LSAT usually makes those statements. I can have a go first.

1/correlation

sth correlate/associate with sth

sb find correlation/association between sth and sth

2/causation

sth lead to sth

sth contribute to sth

sth cause sth

The list is not complete. Any input is welcome.

Hi,

I am a 1L student right now. I am planning to transfer to another law school of exactly the same rank as my current school. (Both of these schools are T35.) I know transfers are for those top students who would like to go to T14 schools. But I have this plan because the school I would like to transfer to is super close to my home, which means I would not need to rent an apartment anymore and I could largely reduce the financial burden placed on my family. (I have been raised by a single parent who has lost the job due to the COVID-19 pandemic and my brother is also a law student.) Most importantly, I personally prefer to practice law in a city closer to my home in the future.

I was waitlisted when I applied for the dream school last year but I was rejected in late August (perhaps because my LSAT was one point lower than its 25-percentile score). While I am trying to be one of the top students at my current law school, it is much harder than I expected. (Grade curving is always my nightmare!) My 1L GPA so far is 3.37 and I am around top 45% of our 1L class, which makes me anxiously wonder if I still have a chance to get into another law school of the same school rank.

I would appreciate any advice! Thank you all!

Hi y'all. Putting this out here because some LSAT studiers are in similar positions or is thinking about it. Also as a headline this post is not about SUITABILITY regarding such decision. In addition I have been studying for two months planning on taking the June 2022 LSAT. I am going to be resigning from my hectic ape show of a career in Financial Investments Brokerage Services to study for the LSAT full time. Gives me about 1.85 months of full time studying. It means moving back home at almost 30 but my parents are stoked. Thank goodness, soon no more margin accounts and Stock Plan administration lol.

I have multiple Financial Investments Brokerage services licenses including the infamous S7 and an active CA Realtor's license. I am used to the time management and test taking skills needed for license like tests. However with the LSAT and even familiarity with the content I find it difficult to really put the dedication needed. It is more difficult than the S7, I can go ad-nauseum. I definitely have more privileges' than others but no means is this something of low-risk nor my parents wealthy or upper middle class like many of you. I learned in Financial Investments sometimes you need to take a loss now for a better long term investment.

Like mentioned this is not saying you should quit/sabbatical. I hope folks feel some type of catharsis from me sharing this. See you in Law School :D!

Hi! - I am registered for the June LSAT, but wondering when/how you register for the specific day/time? I feel like I am missing some information and I haven't been able to find it on the LSAC website. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

On Thursday, March 3, at 12:00 PM ET, we'll check back in with former 7Sager @"Accounts Playable", who went to HLS, and see how he's faring as a first-year associate . We'll ask him how he got the job, how practicing law differs from law school, and what advice he can give people hoping to land in big law.

You’ll get a chance to ask your questions at the end.

:warning: You’ll have to register for this webinar in advance.

:warning: The webinar will be recorded, and we may post it on our site or on YouTube. We may also share the audio on our podcast.

→ Please register for the webinar here:

https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_ulAO0-EgTqCBJMwAcSYZMg

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

If you want to ask a question, you should connect via a computer instead of calling in. We also recommend that you join the webinar a few minutes early and test your microphone.

Hello All,

If I want to create a few LR practice set, how should I break it down according to what the LSAT will be like? How many of each question type should I include?

Thanks.

I'm taking the June 2022 LSAT, which I think is the only afternoon LSAT test? I'm a morning person, and I would actually prefer taking the test first thing in the morning. What do people recommend doing the morning of an afternoon LSAT? And also simulated PTs?
