Hi all,

I hope everyone's law school applications are going well. I'm wishing everyone all the good luck.

While I know at this point is out of my control, I'm trying to understand if I would classify as a splitter at some of the T14 law schools - mainly HYS - and understand where I stand this cycle.

My LSAC GPA is 3.86 (which hovers between the 25th - 50th percentile for the top schools, below the 25th percentile for YLS) and my LSAT score is at/above the 75th percentile for all of these schools. I'm trying to understand which of these schools I should consider a stretch vs. a target.

Any/all thoughts are welcome and helpful. Thank you.

I took J.Y.'s advice and decided to look into meditation for a better mindset for the LSAT. No doubt does low-confidence and anxiety affect your test score; I truly believe that calming down my racing thoughts and incorporating positive self-talk before taking practice tests has helped me tremendously! This meditation exercise is PHENOMENAL...not overly cheesy, and it's geared towards a focused mindset (which I desperately need during RC lol).

Even if you're skeptical, I suggest listening and trying it, because it could result in an unexpected score increase like it did for me! I plan on using this right before signing onto ProctorU on test day as well. Good luck to everyone!!

So I've done 2 official tests, both being at home and honestly...I know from working from home for well over a year, close to two years now that I don't work best at home. My house is hard to keep quiet because I live with my dad and brother and they can be noisy. Is it possible to get a proctor and a classroom somewhere like the old days?

I know that might sound bizarre but like I just perform SO much better when I'm in a space that is absolutely silent. Maybe I'm best off by just saying to my dad and brother, "Hey on this day please just be out of the house for like 3-4 hours?" I would love to take a test at a library but don't think that could be an option?

What the title says. I've been studying for the LSAT for a while now, and frankly LR is the only section that seems to utterly piss me off. I can do analytical reasoning and reading comprehension just fine (the only time I get mad on those is when the highlighter feature is being overly-sensitive, but I've learned how it works) but when I do the games, I flat out want to scream and throw things when things stop making sense.

I'm not really someone who deals with anxiety on the LSAT as I often hear others have. For me, it's frustration and anger. I took the August LSAT and I nearly blew a gasket in the middle of the logic games sections.

I think I need to study more, get the fundamentals down more, and overall just expose myself to more difficult problems with a cool mindset. This is really holding me back. I was going to take a practice test today but decided against it so I could focus more on the games in a casual setting without the timer.

Any advice? This test is a challenge of our patience, too, as you all know. Thanks.

I was one of the people whose exam begun and then crashed afterwards in the middle of it.

If you haven't yet:

Submit an Official Compliant ("connectivity issues AND press cancel score, NOT keep score)

They will contact you in 2 to 3 days about rescheduling. She also said after you can contact proctoru to schedule tomorrow or Tuesday if slots are available. Regardless, the scores will be out by October 27 either way!!!

She had also said that the 21st is def one of the days for rescheduling, but they are probably gonna have more options due to the velocity of people whose test crashed during the exam. I wanted to tell you guys because I have tried emailing, calling, trying via proctoru and got not helpful response. I hope this helps you!

Lawhub shut down about 3 times during my exam. The second time I had to wait over an hour. The second time I was also doing reading comprehension so once it was back up I had to re-read the passage and lost time on the exam.

Has this happened to anyone before? Is it reasonable to ask for a refund on the test or the score be cancelled?

I am scheduled for tomorrow, but it looks like LSAC is a mess today :/. Has anyone even been able to finish the whole test without issues? Any advice for Sunday test takers?

Also sorry to everyone that has had issues with the exam, I know it must have been extremely frustrating. I hope y'all are able to get through to LSAC soon!

Hey, does anyone know how to make your ProctorU stop "bouncing"on Macbook whenever a proctor swaps with another Proctor? It is very distracting. Apple & ProctorU chat were pretty useless

Hey everyone, I take the October lsat this afternoon and I wanted to do some warm up questions this morning but 7sages site isn’t loading on my laptop. My wifi is fine and other websites are working perfectly. Not sure what to do. The site will just display “This page is not working right now” after attempting to load. Let me know what y’all think. I’m posting this from my iPhone by the way.

Thanks!

Best of luck to everyone this weekend taking OCT LSAT. Listen to this song before your LSAT. It's cheesy but it truly does motivate you. It hypes you up and shifts your mindset into "anything is possible" and that you're a "bada**" that will kick LSAT's butt.

Taking my LSAT in November now due to family obligations, but just wanted to bring in some positive vibes :)

Lay down and clear your mind.

"I'm so powerful

I don't need batteries to play

I'm so confident

Yeah, I'm unstoppable today"

Can someone please give a breakdown of this question? I am having trouble understanding what the flaw is.

P: Tech institute has been using new exp. curriculum for several years

P: survey last year found only1/3 of the plumbing grads were able to pass certification test

C: New curriculum has lowered the quality of plumbing instruction

Anticipation: what if its entirely another cause? or maybe it was just a bad year?

I chose AC A through process of elimination but have no idea why it's wrong and why C is correct.

Thanks!

Is it a bad idea to take a practice test tomorrow (3 days before my actual LSAT)? I feel like I have not taken enough practice tests and it would be good practice but I keep reading that it is a bad idea. For me, I still have trouble letting go of hard questions and moving on. I think taking one more practice test could help my timing... Or would it just hurt me? What do you think?

Hi there, for those who have already gone through the process - I am going through the CC in the order it is presented. I am just going through the drills untimed for now so I can understand the material. Should I supplement the CC material for Logic Games with any other book? If so, please recommend the reading material.

Once I am done with the CC for logic games, then I should full proof games from PT1-35 - Any additional steps to take to ensure better learning? - Kindly guide.

Hi all,

I have taken 3 practice tests in the last 2 months and I have gotten the same score on all three. Is there any advice on how to break this plateau? Some strategies I can implement in order to increase my score 5-10 points. Any advice is appreciated!

The question itself is rather easy - (D) is pretty clearly something the argument is assuming, and necessarily so. Negating it makes a mockery of the argument.

However, I did spend quite a bit of time on this one, because I've always learned that "most" answers are virtually never correct on necessary assumption questions, because negating a "most" statement just takes you from 51% (or more) to 50% (or less), so negating a "most" assumption does virtually nothing to the argument. I'm hoping someone can clarify the guidance on "most" statements on necessary assumption questions. Thanks in advance!

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone knows if they'd be allowed to mute the LSAT on test day so that one can speak what they are reading out-loud. I find out-loud reading to be more dramatic for me personally and allows me to focus better (kind of like touching the words with your mouse or pencil).

Thanks in advance on the input and discussion.

I am writing this to make sure I have it right, if not please correct me. When it comes to weakening questions, you are supposed to attack the premise. For strengthening, you are supposed to attack the support. Right? I was going through one of the lessons on strengthening and got confused from the lesson on weakening questions.
