I am taking the April 2021 LSAT on Saturday, April 10th... when should be the last day I take a practice test? I want to make sure I am not burnt out, but also do not want to take too many days off. Traditionally I have taken 2 PTs a week on Mondays and Thursdays. I took one today (PT 89) and left M20 to do next week. I was originally planning on doing it Monday, but should I push it back to Tuesday or Wednesday so that there are not too many days between my last PT and the my real test? Any advice/thoughts/other week of LSAT advice is much appreciated, as this is my first LSAT and want to make sure I am prepared while also not exhausting myself before the real thing!
Looking to form a small study group (5 - 10 People) who are in Central Time or willing to meet on Central Time.
Feel free to drop your email to the discussion and I will add you to a group.
The LSAC has announced that effective with the April administration of the LSAT-Flex, test takers will be required to schedule their testing day and time by 11:59 p.m. ET of the Thursday prior to the exam. For example, for the April LSAT-Flex, which begins on Saturday, April 10, scheduling will close at 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 8.
After that deadline passes, test takers could opt to request a date change for a future administration, but will not be able to schedule for the current exam.
if you already have a ProctorU account through LSAC, you can schedule your April FLEX now.
if this is your first test, you might have to wait for the email tomorrow. Not sure.
I may be over thinking this, but on certain games I am having a lot of trouble deciding what should be the base. For example, on game 4 from Prep Test 43, the game seemed significantly easier when I used the food trucks as the base and assigned X,Y,Z to each truck. On May 2020 Game 3, however, the game is much easier if you assign HMOTV to either the fall or spring group (rather than assigning F and S for a total of 6 times to HMOTV slots). How do you decide up front which variable set to make the base?
Hello,
does anyone want to be in a study group together?
I figure it will be helpful and motivating as well as holding each other accountable.
Send me a message with the word" Study Group"and your phone number and i will form a chat on whatsapp!
I am having the hardest time with this section. Can someone please help me understand. I understand the concept, but when it comes down to bridging the gap between the conclusion and premise its gets kind of difficult for me. When I come across problems that have a conclusion and premise that takes up about 2 lines how am I suppose to shorten and diagram it ??
So I just had a law school interview today, and I'd like to send a thank you note, but I can't find the interviewer's email address. Should I send a thank you to the general admissions office and address my interviewer by name? Or should I write something like "Dear Admissions Office" ? Any insight would be appreciated!
Deciding between two schools
SMU and FSU
I would rather prefer Texas but FSU would cost me about 65k less over three years ... when you add interest it comes out to more ... but SMU grads make on average a lot more money coming out
FSU cost of attendance ( $47000 on average per year)
SMU cost of attendance ($ 69,000 per year)
Here is the link to check to see if you have all the right components to the system you are using in order to have the system check on test day go smoothly. If everything checks out then I would not worry about it. If something is wrong there is a FAQ section that has many little tips and tricks to use to try and get all systems go, but if that does not work there is a link to connect to a representative of ProctorU to help figure out what is going on with your computer. On test day you will have to have the browser extension and microphone on and camera, and have some security features off, to allow ProctorU to proctor you. I am not sure if you need to have an account, but I signed out of my account and I am still able to test my equipment. i would also recommend using chrome as your browser (recommended by ProctorU) I have also heard problems with people using firefox and or safari, I am not sure if those problems still persist but I have heard of them.
Hi,
Could someone pls explain what the stimulus is saying and how is B a better(and correct) answer than B? None of the answers stuck out to me as actually addressing the gap in the stimulus and so I think I might have misunderstood the argument entirely.
Thanks in advance!
Hi folks,
I am currently preparing for my law school applications this fall/winter and dealing with the Letter of Recommendation part.
So far, I decided to apply for JD/MBA programs, and already found 2 recommenders from my professional environment with whom I've closely worked with in projects. Both know me well personally, we have an excellent relationship and I am sure that I will get excellent LORs from them. I also informed them regarding the fact that they should adjust the law-school-LORs so that there is a focus on my academic abilities (analytical, writing, reading skills etc.).
However, I found out that law schools generally prefer academic over professional recommendation letters. E.g. Harvard requires at least one academic LOR, and Yale explicitly states that they strongly prefer academic over professional LORs (even if applicant has been several years out of school).
Although it's only 1.5 years since I graduated, I don't feel very comfortable with having an academic source as my recommender. I have a Master's degree in engineering from a top US university, but that's precisely where I found out that I did not like this profession at all. It was a time where I suffered from a lot of anxiety, did not really participate in class and really struggled to keep pace in group projects. Therefore, I feel that, if any professor or instructor will be willing to provide me with a LOR, it will not be a very impressive one (and, worst case, it will have negative formulations and hurt my chances of being admitted).
Regarding my undergrad professors: it's been 2.5 years since my graduation, and it was a European mass university where students don't really get a chance to know their professors personally. I also had a very bad relationship with my thesis supervisor back then. Therefore, I don't think a recommender from undergrad would be helpful at all.
Do you think I should stick with my current recommenders from my professional environment for both JD and MBA part? Or should I also try to add at least one academic recommender to the JD part of my application, although it will probably be not an excellent one?
Hi all,
Is there a 7sage/other platform option to create a problem set with all of the questions you've gotten wrong? I want to foolproof for the Logic Games and review the questions I've gotten wrong for LR, but I'm having a hard time figuring out a way to do this easily. I wanted to know if I'm missing something. Thanks all!
Hi. I am taking the August LSAT for the first time. I am studying strictly with 7sage. Having no background in the LSAT I am working my way down in the 7sage curriculum from LR to RC. The study schedule made for my by 7sage says I should be dedicating 50 hours a week to core based on my test date but that is not feasible for me. I am still taking three college classes and working full time. I started studying 3 weeks ago and I am only 14% done with the core. I do not want to spend all my time on my core and not being able to take any practice tests. But I need to to learn the material. I got a 138 on my cold diagnostic without any prior LSAT studying and my goal is 160 by August. I try to spend 2-3 hours on core everyday. I feel like the curriculum is very in depth and I am not touching all 3 sections LR LG RC. I wont get to LG and RC until the very end of the curriculum and it is recommended to go through it in order. Not sure what to do and how to fix my studying style. Any suggestions

Quiz #4
The economist's statements, if true, most strongly support which one of the following?
The right answer is Most Strongly Supported.
Isn't it Strengthen?
As the title says the sign up begins at Noon Thursday April 1st. Plus they are adding a new feature where you can 'cross' off the Answer choices you don't want to see. It looks like it is the exact same as when you click the "x" on the ACs on 7Sage but instead of it being a "x" it is a "eye ball" looking thing.
Hi all!
I am planning to take the exam with my MacBook Air, but I heard from a friend who did the same last November that the experience was disastrous...Is it really that bad? Could someone share his/her experience? Thank you!
Thanks!
Hi everybody. I just got back my results for the 2021 Feb flex. I am not happy with my score, and I have the option to cancel it as I am a first time test taker. My question is should i cancel my score?, and if I do, will it impact me negatively in any way?
thank you
Hi, I took a long break for a year after the LSAT-flex was announced. I'm planning to restart studying again and was wondering if the LSAT-flex has more advantages to take than the in-person LSAT? I know the in-person LSAT probably won't happen until at least October... any advice is much appreciated. I do have a surface pro tablet PC that I use, so the tech part won't be a problem. Thank you!
if anyone is interested in creating a study group let me know!!
I'm looking to join up with other non-traditional students going back to law school. I'm 37, with a BA and MS, doing a career pivot into law. I snagged a 164 in Jan, and am looking to score 175+ in October this year.
Ideally, I'm looking for a person, or a couple folks, to do a third blind review at least once a week. This would entail going over the entire test a third time, without scoring, and discussing correct/incorrect answers to locate gaps in knowledge or reasoning.
Optimistic and hardworking folks, please. Thanks.
Ok so, I just can't seem to get a grasp of the logic games. I have been told that the analytical reasoning section is the easiest to improve in; however, I beg to differ. Every-time I try a new problem on practice tests, I am always stuck on how am I suppose to set up the game. I am not sure if I get nervous because I know the games are my weakness which could be causing blockage, or what. But I do know that- I just don't understand them. It's hard to study and practice different games, when I don't have at least one type of game I am good at.
does the actual lsat look different on a larger screen? im thinking about using an external monitor for the exam instead of my 13" laptop and was wondering if that made a difference in the viewing area?
