I decided sort of late in the game that now would be a good time to go to law school. I registered for the October 2020 test in July. I got a 167 on my diagnostic test. I studied with Magoosh (because I had a great experience with them on the GRE) but I was working full time at a restaurant trying to make as much money as possible before we shut down again so I really didn't study as much as I should have. I got a 168 on the October Flex. I felt that given that I had done well without much studying, I could re-take, really apply myself, and have a good shot at getting above 170.

I signed up for 7Sage and when I'm doing the lessons I feel like I'm learning a lot. Lots of ah ha moments. However, I've now taken three prep tests on 7Sage and scored 163, 164, and 165 respectively. On Blind Review on the first two I got a 170, but the last one I was honestly so discouraged I got kind of lazy on Blind Review and only got my score to a 168. I am so frustrated. I'm spending a lot of time studying and I've gotten significantly worse. It's KILLING my confidence and I am afraid to take the LSAT in January because I went from feeling great about it to feeling hopeless. I took prep tests July-Sept on the LSAC site and scored between 165-168. I'm wondering if the 7Sage format has something to do with it? I can't understand how I've gotten so much worse.

I've focused a lot of my time on 7Sage on LR because I felt I had the most room for improvement there, but I'm seeing no improvement and now LG is suffering. I'm kicking myself for delaying my apps when I could have applied with the 168, but please don't pile on in this regard telling me what I should have done. I really thought I was making the best call at the time based on the information I had (including my success up to that point).

Any advice?

Does anyone else's videos keep going down to 1x after choosing another speed? I have to repeatedly click 2x every 1-2 seconds.

I don't know if it's a glitch or just my computer. If it's just me, how can I fix this?

I'm registered for January but I might cancel because I've invested over a year on my life in this LSAT to study to settle for anything less than 170. My PTs are very inconsistent; the last 3 have been 171, 154 (I damn near died) and 169. Reading comp. and LR are my issue. I can do any game you put in front of me in my sleep.

I've switched study habits and training for skill (the overkill route lol)- I can spend a good hour doing 5 questions. I'm looking for a few people who are willing to commit and ride through with me until test day. Please, only consider if you're able to devote the time.

I was smoking pot in my dorm with friends when I set the smoke detector off, unfortunately, this being my second offense (first got me probation) I got suspended for the remainder of the semester. One week later they began sending everyone home because of the pandemic. Maybe I made a mistake but I don't think this should be one that haunts me into law school. Since I got suspended I have actually gotten my hands on a medical marijuana card, something that maybe I can mention in my application to soften it a bit? Thanks folks.

I am not kidding. I am looking for maxiumum 3 other people who know they have the ability to reach 180 like me and will stop at nothing to reach it (or very close). I want to be hitting 177+ consistently on PTs before I even think about registering.

Group will be mainly extremely detailed and in-depth LR discussion and review and some RC too. Review 2 LR + 1 RC section/week although for this score range obviously we will probably only be looking at the most difficult questions. I spent an entire 35 minutes by myself on one LR problem today, but again, these questions are the ones that the 75% correct bar stops at 180. For people in this range I feel the time would be wasted talking about too many lower difficulty questions. I'm on pacific time.

Hey guys! I’m currently a junior in college getting ready to take on the LSAT probably around the time of May-July and applying to schools in the fall. Diagnostic was a 149, goal is 165! Anyone in a similar boat looking for some study buddies/group chat, etc?

I simply cannot improve my score. I have taken the LSAT before (twice) and scored 148 and 149. I used other resources to study (Kaplan). I signed up for 7sage because I know some people that took it and they highly recommended it. I used to watch the logic game videos when they were on youtube. Regardless, I have completed my core curriculum, and have begun to take full prep tests.

I have done 3 prep tests so far and completed the blind review as well. I literally scored 147, 149, 149 on my timed runs and scored 154, 159, 159 on blind review.

Any advice here? I cannot tell what is keeping me down.

After how many practice tests did you begin to notice an improvement in your score?

Keep in mind, I run my own business, so I do work long hours. My study schedule thus far has been this... Timed test on Sunday, Blind Review Monday, then Tuesday to Friday I review each section individually, and I take a break on Saturday.

I'm applying to the JDP program so I don't really know how the LSAC GPA is calculated yet (hopefully I get in and don't have to worry about it lol). If a low grade for a class I repeated is not included on my official college transcript but the new one is, does the LSAC count the original class in addition to the other one? Or is it only counted if both grades appear on my official transcript?

Also wondering if I'm in fighting shape for T10s still if my GPA drops a bit. For reference, my GPA now is 3.71, but with the C factored in I have a 3.68. kinda stressed :(

Hi everyone! My diagnostic was a 149 and I'm at 158/159 after 2 months of really light and minimal studying but I've been hitting a plateau the last 2 tests. My goal is a 164-166 range (but obviously higher is great). I'm not planning on taking the test until April or summer so I know I'm ahead, but with a full time job this is easier. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who is in the mid to high 150s and whose goal is mid to high 160s wants to start a study group! Idc when you plan to take the test! I'm also open to suggestions on how to best execute this like meeting virtually or just chatting, etc. If you're interested leave an email in the comments. Hope to hear from some of you :)

So I just received my university diploma in the mail and now that we are in lockdown again I have decided to start studying for the LSAT. I have never been set on law school but it has always been an idea I've toyed with. I feel like right now it is especially hard to make any long term decisions but I want to be working towards something.

Anyways, I have started the 7 Sage program, have never done a practice LSAT and am completely new to all of this. I really want to write the LSAT sometime next year I am just finding this all a little overwhelming. I am seeing a lot of people start study groups online here but are all way more advanced than me!

If anyone is in the same boat or is sharing similar sentiments and wants to encourage each other! Let me know!

I took the LSAT in November but am registered to retake in January. My hope is to apply for fall 2021 admissions at Pace Law School, their deadline is June 1st. However, I was doing some research and saw you have to apply for FASFA financial aid by November of the previous year you intend to go to law school? I'm looking for some insight into the loan process for law school, any feedback is great!

Hi! I’m in search of a tutor for the January LSAT. This isn’t my first time taking the test, and I’m looking for someone that can help me break my plateau. My goal score is a 160, and I just need someone to push me, and provide me with some motivation that I am lacking. I am ready ASAP so interested tutors please contact me for one-on-one sessions. I am looking for regular sessions more than once on a weekly basis until the exam. Obviously the exam is not far away so I need someone who is ready to commit to me, as I will to them. I am a diligent student, I’m just feeling frustrating with my lack of improvement.

DM on the forum.

Ok so I feel very confident at identifying these errors in conditional logic, however when they are in abstract terms in the flaw questions it slows me down because I get a little unsure.

I just took PT64.S3.Q4 and was stuck on a mistaken negation where the correct AC says: "does not present any evidence that the document names every member of the trade group"

How exactly does that indicate a mistaken reversal? I was stuck on this question for 2 minutes when I had the right answer selected by process of elimination the whole time.

What are the other common written examples that I should keep an eye out for? I'm looking for common answers or key words to look for that indicate: mistaken negation, mistaken reversal, as well as confusion of necessity versus sufficiency.

Are there any other than these three that I should be aware of?

I've recently seen quite a few people saying PT's from the 30's, 40's, and 50's are relatively easier than the newer tests. Should I skip those and only PT newer ones?

Hello fellow 7sagers, I am writing in hopes of finding advice. My actual score has consistently been 149 while my BR score has been 161. How do I close this gap? Any insight is more than appreciated. Thank you!

Could someone help me to see if I reasoned this out properly. This test really testing my patience in life. I didn't even know lake trout was a fish.

Conclusion: If anglers are looking for lake trout in deep temperate lakes while they are partially iced over the winter, their best bet is to avoid lake trout's summer haunts and fish for the shallow parts or close to the surface.

The premise tells us that there are four seasons:

Winter-the coldest water is at the top (goldmine for lake trout)

Late Winter- the "turnover" period when the coldest water is transitioning to the bottom

Summer-the coldest water is at the bottom (goldmine for lake trout)

Fall: another "turnover' where the cold water is cold water is transitioning up

Another premise: We can find lake trout in the coldest water.

If they're partially iced over the winter, it means they're not fully cold yet for anglers to find lake trout - and if the author is concluding that they avoid the summer haunts and fish for the shallow parts, it ought to be that when the deep temperate lake is partially iced, the coldest water is still at the top, and that the partially iced status isn't a full indicator of the turnover that's supposed to happen which will transport the cold water to the bottom.

A. I thought A could work but the stimulus doesn't address anything about the ease at which we could catch them. Whether it takes me 4 hours or 30 minutes to catch, this assumption doesn't need to hold because so long as I am able to catch my fish during the time of the year when they are expected to be abundant, then I'm good. The conclusion precisely advises anglers to avoid the summer haunts if they are looking to catch any lake trout in deep temperate lakes.

B. Heavy, light, denser, we don't care. I eliminated.

C. They are only found in deep tempreature lakes? Groundbreaking. Eliminate.

D. I literally do not care about how they feed. I want to know why the author is make such a specific recommendation. If their feeding habit was connected to their ability to get caught, we would take a second look. Because it's not, we gracefully, eliminate.

E. This is the last contestant in the running towards becoming my next top answer. As they are partially iced over the winter, the expectation is that the cold water is making its way to the bottom where I can get lake trout butttttttt the author is telling me to avoid it. Why? It ought to mean that the partial ice is a false alarm and that the cold water isn't ready yet to make its way to the bottom (summer) where lake trout can be found. If we negate this, "in deep temperate lakes with the ice residue, the turnover has occurred" which will put the coldest water at the bottom. That would mean the author is sabotaging us, and destroys the argument.

This question took me a good 30 minutes to break it down but typing it out actually help. Can anyone let me know if I overlooked anything. And more important, how do you quickly attack such a heavy stimulus under time constraints.
