Hi,

For LSAT Flex takers, does anyone know if you are allowed to have Advil or Ibuprofen on your desk? Not a whole can but just one pill in case of headache etc. I can't find anything about medications on either the list of allowed items or the list of prohibited items.

Thank you!!

I don't know if anyone here can help me out with this, but it's something that has been nagging me since I took the LSAT in November. I went to a small liberal arts school that refuses to engage in college rankings and grade inflation. The average graduating GPA is around 3.2, and it has been this way for over 25 years. In that same span of time only 8 students have graduated with a 4.0.

My GPA is 3.4 (undergrad, not CAS), with my grades improving year to year (I received academic commendations during my Junior and Senior year). I'm genuinely proud of my GPA within context, but lurking certain admissions forums I get scared by the narrative that admissions officials only care about numbers in relation to averages. Can I trust admissions officials to take where I went to undergrad into account while considering my application? I know in theory I probably should, but I also have some doubts. I feel bad saying this, but I feel very confident I would have gotten at least a 3.9 at most other schools. I took 3 summer courses at an elite university before my Junior year and got A's with less effort than I needed to put in at my undergrad institution.

I hope this post doesn't across as me bragging or making excuses. I would really appreciate any input at this point honestly. I think the T-14 or bust mentality is toxic, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't matter to me at all. My LSAT is 174.

Thanks so much for any help.

TLDR: Can 7sage please create 3 Section LSAT Prep Tests for students who are currently now prepping for the LSAT-Flex?

Since the format of the new exam is different in that we do 3 back-to-back sections, rather than 2 sections, break, 2 sections, I am sure many of us are trying to adjust our practice test setup to mimic actual testing conditions.

Currently, our options to do so are either to

  • create our own problem sets out of prep test sections, which means we don't get score conversions and data about our performance doesn't show up in the analytics tool, or
  • we take a 4-section LSAT and skip the 2nd Logical Reasoning, which means that in the analytics tool our scores are WAY lower because we get 0/26 on one section.
  • 3 Section LSATs would be really, really helpful. Thank you!

So i am taking the lsat in june, and am right now getting perfect on the games and roughly -3-5 on Logical Reasoning. I just started studying reading comprehension now and did 4 sections in the last 4 days, every section i got -6-7 on. Is there any legit advice to get this into the -2-4 range before June? Just a lot of repetition and doing a reading comp section everyday? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I put in a twelve week window with 20 hours and it reverts back to 68.44 hours per week. That's mind-boggling. I can't study for that long every week, I have a job. How can you make it so gives you a twelve week plan @ 20 hours per week? If someone could guide me that would be great. I want to upgrade to the Ultimate+ version but this is holding me back. If that doesn't work could someone email me a screenshot of their 12week 20hour plan? Thanks.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the heavy topic while most of you are stressed, but if anyone has advice for me, I would appreciate it. If you feel uncomfortable with mental health, I would stop reading here :) Thank you for clicking on the post anyways.

I have struggled with depression for a few years. A couple of weeks before COVID, I discovered a study routine that works for me (for university and LSAT) after months of figuring things out. Then, the pandemic hit and I was confined to a tiny apartment with my family. I am having such a hard time focusing, let alone motivating myself to study. I don't even have my own desk here (I used to live in a dorm). Who knew not being able to go to a cafe or library would be this devastating?? Plus, I'm always tired and I just feel... burnt out. The last two weeks have consisted of me playing Stardew Valley while internally stressing about the LSAT, telling myself that I was just giving myself a break. This week, the pressure hit hard and I have tried to study, but I just... don't want to?

I took the LSAT last year and did miserably because my mental health was not great and I did not study much. However, this year, I WAS motivated and now... I'm just not. I'm signed for the July test, but honestly, I just feel so unprepared (hitting high 150s, when my goal is 165+) and the stress is getting to me. I feel like I can't even explain to my parents that I want to reschedule because I "used my depression card" last year to explain my score and I feel like I can't use the same "excuse" this time because they'll think I haven't learned from my past mistakes. So, I know some people will say to reschedule, but that's just not an option for me.

I know COVID is impacting a lot of people right now, with some losing their jobs and family members... it's hard on anyone. So if you are struggling, I feel for you.

Any tips, even if you don't struggle with depression, with motivation, concentrating, etc. would be appreciated.

Hope everyone stays healthy and happy.

Thanks for reading this long post :)

Hi! I have a question about flaw and weaken type Qs on LR.

So, if i remember correctly, JY said in one of his lessons that the arguments for flaw type questions might have several unstated assumptions but it doesn't necessarily mean that all those assumptions could be classified as flaws.

Besides the common flaws that he listed for us in his lesson (ex. red herring fallacy, opinion vs fact etc.), how can we decide which assumptions count or does not count as flaws?

This also lead me to question the difference between weakening and flaw type Qs: could the assumptions that do not count as flaws in flaw questions be used to weaken such arguments should they be used in weaken type questions?

I know this all sounds kind of confusing but any opinion on this would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

Backpacker is planning to hike in a national forest. She will hike three or more of the following seven trails: Laurel, Maple, Oak, Poplar, Spruce, Tupelo, and Willow. She will not hike on any other trails. The choice of trails for her hike is constrained by the following conditions:

If she hikes Laurel, she must also hike Oak and Poplar.

If she hikes Tupelo, she must also hike Spruce and Willow.

If she hikes Willow, she can hike neither Maple nor Oak.

    End of reading passage.

    Hi,

I just completed PrepTest 75 on the LSAC site and I want to see the explanations for the answers I got wrong and questions I was iffy about here on 7sage, do I need to fake take it on here to get to those or is there a way I can mark myself as having completed the Jun 2015 test and then review?

Essentially, what is the fastest way for me to get to the review?

    Thanks.

Does anyone have tips for taking the LSAT flex? Before, I would take practice tests on my tablet, and now that I moved to taking tests on my computer, my RC score dropped. Highlighting really helped me on the tablet, but highlighting is much slower on a laptop. Does anyone have any advice?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to apply for money for your second or third year if you don’t receive any when you get accepted? I just got off the waitlist at my top choice school and am so excited but don’t think I’ll get any money and am really scared to pay full tuition in the long run. If there’s even a chance I could get a small merit scholarship down the line that would be amazing but I haven’t heard of that happening.

Hi everyone!! The school I applied to bought me this prep course a month ago (April) and paid for me to take the June LSAT 2020 in hopes of getting my score up 5 points for acceptance and scholarships! However, with the LSAT Flex and limited time, I do not think I will get through the entire curriculum before then. Would you all suggest me to work on LR for a day, then LG the next, RC for the next, and take 1-2 PTs a week?? I am scared I will not get much practice and review with LG and RC and not score as well due to the format of LSAT Flex!

I am up for any study suggestions! I need all the advice I can get! Thank you all in advance :)

I've already done quite a bit of prep using sources such LSAT Trainer and other things so I have a decent foundation. Which lessons are popular/super useful? I dont wana go thru all of them, i'd rather spend majority of my time drilling and doing PT's now, but im open to doing lessons that are seen as useful. One that i heard is advanced logic. Any others? Thanks!

Hi everyone. I took the January LSAT and scored a 161. In the weeks leading up to the exam I was scoring on average 163 and my peak score was a 165. My nerves really got to me on the day of the exam so I did not perform as well as I wanted to. I am aiming for a 170. I have not studied since January but want to start again in June and would like to take the August or October exam.

Any advice for how I should restart studying for my second LSAT? Thank you in advance!

Has anyone's blind review not been going up? My first blind review was 161 and then I've been in the high 150's the next 4 exams. It's confusing because I'm putting in so much work and my exam score is improving a little but my BR has been going down for 4 exams. Any advice?

hello there! I'm new to 7sage and have strictly been following the 7sage course schedule. I prepped with TM in January up until April, so I am familiar with the LSAT format and can anticipate the LR, LG questions. Nonetheless, I am putting aside the TM mentality and focusing on what 7sage recommends. I really want to improve my RC. With TM I had been doing 2 to 3 RC on a daily basis, however, with 7sage am unsure how to proceed.

Any tips? Does everyone just follow the course schedule or do you jump ahead? When do you do the practice tests?

    Thank you in advance!!
