Hi everyone. For the past ten to fifteen PTs, I've been scoring around low-mid 170s and blind reviewing anywhere from 176-180. I recently started getting into the 80+ PT range and have taken three 80+ PTs so far. For the first two PTs (80 and 85), my score dropped to 168 and 169 respectively.

I feel like the RC has become longer and harder even with structural understanding of the passage. As for the LR, I found out that it was wordier with newer hidden tricks in the density of the stimulus.

Is there something that I can drill to address these new changes that I have perceived to be causing issues for me? Thank you.

In PT 35.S2.Q1, answer choice B states that the passage has no definitive conclusions regarding factual accuracy, but according to JY, there were definitive conclusions raised in the passage (probably on lines 23 and 53). I was really unsure about this because when I looked at the dictionary definition of "definitive conclusion" it seems like it is a conclusion that is final and no one can really question (which I don't think we get from this passage).

Any opinions on this matter?

Thanks!

Hi! My school does not weight A+ any differently than A so it is all 4.0. After using the GPA calculator provided by 7sage I have discovered that my LSAC GPA is about 0.1 higher than my CGPA. My question is which one will be used to evaluate my viability as a candidate. If I maintain my current GPA, I have a shot at getting in some good schools and I have 11 classes left as well that can potentially improve my odds.

I have trouble sleeping days before big exams. Even now im starting to feel my sleep affected a bit from just general stress from the LSAT.

Would you recommend pulling an all nighter or just getting like 2-3 hours of sleep 2 days before the LSAT? That way, the night before the LSAT i can ensure Ill fall asleep cause ill be so tired from the night before.

Ive heard so many horror stories of people not getting good enough sleep the night before the LSAT and I want to make sure that doesnt happen.

Generally, I sleep fine but would like to take all precautions possible. What are downsides/upsides? personally, since you shouldnt be cramming 2 days before anyway I dont see a huge problem with like pulling an all nighter 2 nights before and then getting like 8-10 solid hours of sleep the night before?

Hey guys,

I need help with LR Flaw question in particular. Each LR Section, I miss on average 2-3 flaw questions and it is really hurting my score. I know that these are the quickest points you can make up for in LR since supposedly, once you see the patterns, "you can see them coming a mile away".

How do I get better at them? Is it just a matter of constantly seeing them over and over? I have made a problem set through 7Sage on just the Flaw questions PT 60+ and it generated about 240 Flaw questions. Just going down the list and reading all of them, will that help? I don't have much time. I have 3 weeks.

Appreciate you.

I know that growth isn't linear and that I can't expect each PT to be better than the last, but I certainly hadn't expected that they would progressively get worse...

My first PT out of the CC was a 167, which was a very encouraging 12pt improvement from my diagnostic, but since that PT each one has been a bit worse than the last and I'm finally all the way back down in the high 150s. Does any one else struggle with their PT vs. BR score widening? How do I review my PTs effectively to close that gap?

I was planning on taking the test in June, but it's becoming clear to me that I am not prepared to take it.

Any and all advice would be much appreciated.

Lost and confused,

Sarah.

I'm having a hard time understanding the correct answer choice here as it seems to directly contradict the passage, which states that the amount of domestic oil reserves considered extractable has not changed in ten years. The correct answer E would indeed explain how annual domestic consumption of this oil could have increased without new oil field discoveries, but still it seems to contradict that stated fact. Though I didn't feel D was an extremely good choice, it seemed like the only choice that could have provided a link while agreeing with the text. Could someone explain how E fits with the passage?

Just throwing this out there--yes, it's definitely true that security measures must be observed and we’re in unusual, emergency circumstances with a pandemic and it's great that there's a remote option now. That said, because the proctoring program already uses video and audio recording--which they save under live real-time observation, is eye-tracking really necessary? It just seems to be a bit much. What if someone’s eyes drift as they ponder a question or they look away to rest their eyes? Will these normal behaviors be flagged? Is there any way students can opt out of some of this? And how will students’ personal information be used? It seems that more transparency is needed. What are your thoughts?

Hi! I know JY has mentioned games having genetic twins and that’s why we’re doing the fool proof method. I’m currently a quarter of the way through FPing and am itching to see what a “genetic twin” game might look like... can anyone help me locate them? Preferably one in PT1-35 and one outside of it...

Is there anywhere where I can find definitions or descriptions of these grouping game categories? These four are categorized by 7sage but I've gone through the CC & I can't find any description.

Grouping pure:

Grouping sequence:

Grouping repeating:

Grouping - Interchangeable:

Example for grouping repeating games: I know that I will have to group items and those items are repeating. Hence, using a chart will be most helpful.

I would like to know the communities thoughts on how to study for upcoming flex tests. My thought is that it no longer makes sense to take standard full length PT's if you are planning on taking a flex test. Would taking three sections instead of five be advisable? Obviously it cannot hurt to do more questions - but as JY has mentioned many times - the goal of PT's is to recreate test day conditions...

I heard that the LSAT makers are going to remove Logic Games sometime in the near future is that true and what do they plan on replacing it with? (All I gotta say is I hope they don't get rid of it, Logic Games is my best and favorite section - sorry to those that hate it, but I think they're kinda fun, it's like a puzzle).

Hi everyone, I noticed as I am drilling RC that I get 4 or more questions wrong during timed sections, but I get every question correct during BR. I know timing is an issue here because during BR, I am able to take my time reading the passage and have the freedom to go back to reference the text when needed. Does anyone have any tips on performing better during timed sections? Thanks in advance!!

I am getting through the CC and wondering how I should attack the practice tests starting from PT37 and up. Is it plausible and yet effective to take all those tests or should I take one a week considering that I have at least four per week? I was thinking at least one a week and BR+Review as well as review all of those I don’t take in timed conditions. Any advice?

How will having 3 sections affect the scoring? Is there a way to recalculate what the score of my PT tests would have been if it was an LSAT flex? If LR is my strength should I consider pushing back the test date until it is in-person 4 sections again?

Hey guys. I plan on taking the November 15th LSAT this year. My diagnostic was pretty bad (140). I was pretty devastated considering that I have a 3.9+ GPA in undergrad currently. I want to get into the 160s and go to a T-25 law school. Is jumping from140 to the160s possible given the amount of time I have? I have a little over 6 months.

And what's a good way to prepare? I plan on using full proof from JY for LG and going through the LG Bible. But what about LR and RC?

Alright all your future lawyers, let's have a bit of debate. I wanna hear people's opinions on writing vs not writing the online administered June LSAT (3 sections vs 5). I'm personally on the fence and want to hear what other people think and the pros and cons of the situation

Any general tips? I keep doing this to myself and then by the time I realize it, I am already burnt out.

How in the heck do I balance not over-doing it but also make sure I get through PT's and material before the July test. I am already done CC. Just going over it occasionally for my weak areas after PT'ing.

I am so stressed out that I keep burning out from over studying and become unable to do anything at all. Then, I take a one week break to recover and repeat my bad habits of over-studying and so on
