Hey! For some reason I'm having trouble finding the page that breaks down the question types and what I need to work on. I'm in the process of taking exams and want to start drilling question types throughout the week, those that I'm consistently getting wrong or having trouble with. Can someone please guide me on how to find this on 7sage? I remember a while back I was on a page with a bunch of bubbles that represented the question types...

Thanks so much

Hey all,

Does anyone know how to translate this using the group 3/4 rules?

Earth's temperature would not rise had not fossil fuels been burned.

I just have no idea how to apply the rules here, if someone could explain what the translation is and why and which rules they used, that'd be much appreciated!

Looking for a tutor

Hello! I am aiming to take the March test and really committed to doing this but I am struggling. Is there a tutor here that could help?

Hi,

I'm retaking the LSAT, & I have 2 powerscores and quite a few books of prep tests from last time. So I was wondering if it was worth it to get the Ultimate Plus as opposed to the Ultimate, since the main difference seems to lie in the prep tests and I already have many of them. There are also more section explanations, though. If it weren't for the fact that you have to pay the lump sum in one go instead of on payment, I would probably just opt for the Plus. Thoughts?

Reading a bunch of posts recently about law school prep, I realized that I don't really know how to study. This sounds weird for a person trying to get into law school, but it's just my reality. I suspect that the readers on this forum know what they're doing much more than most, and was wondering if you can share some of your insights or hacks on how you memorize and study?

I've check out apps like quizlet and scribd, courses like larrylawlaw and the coursera law introduction, and they seems really helpful.

My current plan is to take notes on paper during class, and then synthesize my notes into an outline on my computer.

What do you guys think of my plan so far?

From Columbia's website:

Can I submit an addendum or additional written materials along with my application?

Yes. The Admissions Committee believes that candidates should be able to expand upon aspects of their candidacy that are otherwise not represented in the required materials. Some examples include diversity statements, statements of strong interest in Columbia Law School, explanations of undergraduate and/or LSAT performance, etc. We strongly suggest that applicants use their best judgment, in terms of content and length, when considering the submission of supplemental materials.

So the question is do I treat it like a Why X essay? I'm not sure if writing one is a good idea...

Hi 7sagers,

I was wondering if it looks bad to reapply next year with the same addendums and DS and PS?

I’m debating whether to pay for admission consultanting service (7sage/Spivey/PowerScore) for this cycle, which is already late, or do the best I can on my own for this cycle and wait to hire them for the next cycle when I have a better chance overall.

If I can reuse the material for next cycle, then I suppose hiring them for this cycle would be worth it since that way I can give both cycle a much better shot, right? (Hiring them for both cycles is not an option for me since their service costs 3k+).

I have a mediocre GPA 3.5ish, three cancels for the LSAT and waiting for the January score.

Some feedback would be highly appreciated!

If you have experience working with any of these consulting services above, please share your experience or PM me!

Thank you in advance!

Currently fool proofing 1-35 LG however I want to make sure my LR skills (or lack thereof) are not diminishing. I have saved some problem sets from the CC but after I finish these should I start from PT#1 and drill by question type or whole sections?

So, I come from a STEM background and I am a bit nervous about my upcoming 1L year. I heard some good things about the former 7sage law school course (now Larry Law Law), but it's pretty expensive and I was wondering if it is a good investment. Or if there are any other courses that are good, I would love to learn their names. If prep courses are not recommended, I would really appreciate it if you could elaborate why. Thanks!

Hi

I just learned about this app and I want to go to Harvard or Yale law school. I’ve not started preparing for lsat yet as I’m graduating in summer. I wanted to know how long did y’all take to score 170? What approach you took? How many hours a day you study? Any good sources?

I would really appreciate your feeedback

I have taken only 3 practice tests so far, and am getting low 160's. My goal is to get around 170 on the exam. I only have time to take two practice tests a week and study 2-3 hours a day. Would it be possible for me to up my score in this coming month and a half? I am hesitant to wait until June because I do not want to burnout and want to avoid taking the test when it goes digital.

Any advice is helpful!

I'm hoping to attend a US law school next summer but I am worried about the expensive tuition. I heard that it's harder for foreign students to receive scholarships.. Is this true? I'd appreciate any advice on receiving a scholarship!

Do you review/revisit old problem types or lessons in the CC while you're still doing the CC? I feel like I should still be practicing problem types I already learned while I'm still going through the CC so I don't get weak on the strategies learned. Is this a good idea or should I just focus on finishing the CC? How do you go about review? Do you have one review day a week or some time each day?

i have a question

I just did the Distinguish Valid from Invalid Forms Flashcards.

I got them all right, but my question is, during the test do I have to engage in how is the case that they are valid or just memorize the formulas and once I recognize them answer the questions? Because I am able to recognize the formulas and I am not engaging in thinking as to why is it valid or invalid....

My average preptest score is a 168 and I have scored a 169 on three separate tests. I am looking to break into the 170s and have read that teaching someone the test can be very helpful for achieving true mastery. So I'm looking to work with anyone -- preferably those just getting started or those having trouble breaking into the 150s or 160s -- who feels this could be a mutually beneficial exercise.

Some..Not

I just want to clarify this.

Some dogs are not cute

I want to make sure the range of this statement. SO the # of dogs that are cute can range from 0-99 ?

Because at least one dog is not cute so that makes the number of cute dogs range from 0-99?

Moreover, lets say if there are 99 dogs that are cute our statement is still valid since 1 of them is not cute right? And also can it be that all dogs are not cute.

I would appreciate the help
