The section I have the most trouble on is Logic Games, Ive drilled and fool proofed many many games but I still end up missing around 5-7 questions on preptests. If I can improve on my LG I will be borderline at 170. I was wondering if any 7sagers, that score high on the LG sections, can provide any tips and/or insight on how they study or approach LG sections. Thank you in advance!!

Hey Peeps,

I applied to eight schools in mid-December (which from my understanding seems to be around the halfway point of the cycle) and so far I've only heard back from two (currently a 1-1 split decision). Three of the outstanding schools have updated the status of my application to "under committee review" or something equivalent since, but another three have not updated my application status since the "application complete" stamp in December/early January.

As the season for bargaining on financial aid is approaching, I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to move the needle on this — sending a letter of continuing interest or an email to admissions, perhaps? Additionally, given the point we're at in the admissions cycle, should I essentially write off those that haven't put in an update since December as a lost cause? Interested in hearing your feedback!

Hello to all 7Sager's...I am going to start studying for the November 2019 LSAT and just got the book "Breaking The LSAT" by Nathan Fox (which includes Prep Test 62). As soon as I was ready to get rolling I discovered 7Sage and now am very confused as to which direction I should go. I have heard great things about both Nathan Fox and 7Sage, but it seems that 7Sage is a more complete and robust study program, and then there is also J.Y. and Alan. Sp, can someone help me figure this out please? Thank you!

Hey, sagers. I'm on my second round of studying after a pre-7Sage disappointing Nov. score of 152, and I'm aiming for a 165+ in June. I've completed the CC, but I'd love some advice for how to focus my remaining study time. My hardest section is LG, and I'm working hard on my fool proofing binder. The only "fresh" PTs (other than superduper old-school ones) I haven't touched are 39-49 and 85. I work full-time, so I max out at one PT/BR experience per week and sometimes I spread it out over the week into timed section drills. But I've been advised to save 77-85 as full retakes leading up to June 3. If I stick to that, that only leaves me 3 weeks from now before that starts. I'm finishing 39 right now, but after that ~ what to do for the next 3 weeks? Better to drill some "fresh" sections from 40-49 or better to drill sections as retakes from 62-76? And either way, there's no way I'm getting through that many so I'm stuck on which ones to prioritize. Thanks for any advice.

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble understanding question 8 from PT4 section 1. I diagrammed it:

-PWP ---> -GLS and realized that the passage makes an illegal reverse. It should have been GLS ---> PWP (the contrapositive) instead of PWP---> GLS. However, even with that in mind, I wasn't able to find the right answer. Now, I don't understand why D is the right answer. Can someone please help me?

Cheers!

Hi 7sage,

I am a senior undergrad at a small private school in the Midwest with a 3.82 gpa and a 171 LSAT. I applied to all the T-14 schools in the first week of December. So far I have been accepted by Georgetown and waitlisted by Duke and Michigan. Columbia and NYU have emailed me to say that my application is on hold which I imagine means I still have some chance of being accepted there. I haven't heard anything from the others. If I do not get any more acceptance letters, I am wondering if waiting a year and reapplying in September could give me better results. I am not an underrepresented minority, my personal statement is probably average and I could raise my gpa a couple points in my final semester. Should someone with my numbers expect multiple offers from the t14? I'm afraid of selling myself short.

Hello,

I am unable to understand lines 28-36.

I cannot understand what the author means by concentrating its resources on areas brought inadvertently within the scope. What does he mean by concentrating resources? Does he mean that he would enforce the law on those for whom it wasn't intended? Or does he mean that the agency would spend resources to avoid prosecuting innocent people who were inadvertently brought within the scope of the law?

I'm unsure if the author is saying that capricious enforcement seems unlikely or something else is unlikely.

Thank you so much.

Woo! With a scholarship too though they said they'd FedEx the deets so I'm not sure for how much yet. Of course I still need to hear from everyone else but I was thrilled that I really did it and got into a high enough ranked school because my UGPA is mediocre, my undergraduate school unheard of and I had a very tight study schedule for the LSAT so, I wasn't sure I'd get in anywhere while I was crunching the core curriculum, but, fuck yeah! I shall be an attorney.

Hi all!

I applied to a total of 12 schools back in September / October. I’ve since heard back from 8/12 (woo!) and have a few financial aid offers (most of which are pretty good, but not enough for me to go to the given school - based on where I fall in their percentiles I’d probably want a full ride). I’m waitlisted at my dream t14 school and have gotten into a few schools ranked higher than this. I’m waiting to hear back from a few T5, but don’t have high hopes at all.

I’m currently in a rotational program at work that is supposed to go until June, but recently learned we are starting the application and interview process for our next role (that would start in June) the first week of April. I obviously won’t be applying for this role, so I need to tell my manager / people at work soon (they have no idea I’m leaving), but I don’t have a concrete answer on where I’m going.

My dilemma is two-fold:

It’s now March (ahhh) and some of the schools I have gotten into have upcoming seat deposits, and I haven’t started the money negotiation process. Should I start this now, even if I don’t have any idea of where I’m going? What’s the best timing for this (before vs. after seat deposits)? Also, how strict are school about seat deposits?

For the dream school, I don’t have an admissions decision so I obviously don’t have money prospects here yet. Has anyone ever actually reached out to a school about a “timeline” / deadline? They say to keep them posted about other things that impact your timeline, and this is a big looming thing for me, but I don’t want to get rejected just because they don’t know their answer yet.

Any advice on my novel / word vomit is greatly appreciated! Feel free to PM.

THANK YOU!

Hello, I'm sorry if this question has been already asked. I go to an UK university where it has its own gpa conversion scale. Even if my school calculates gpa for me, do I still have to send my transcripts to LSAC so that they can evaluate my grades? I still have one and a half year left; if my gpa is somewhere between 3.4 and 3.5 with high LSAT score above 172, will I have chance for tier 14 law schools?

Hi everyone,

On Thursday, March 7 at 9 p.m. ET, I'll host a webinar with Julian Morales, Director of Admissions at Penn State Law. Julian will give us a five-minute presentation on Penn State, and then I'll ask him some of the questions you're dying to know:

  • Who hears from law schools first?
  • What's the review process like, anyway?
  • When should I send a letter of continuing interest?
  • How much does visiting help? Should I call before I visit and set up an appointment?
  • What do you look for when you talk to applicants in person?
  • How do I maximize my chances of getting gift aid?
  • You'll get a chance to ask your questions at the end.

:warning: You’ll have to register for this webinar in advance.

:cookie: After the webinar, we'll award one attendee a free Edit Once (see https://classic.7sage.com/admissions/enroll).

First question - I'm having a difficult time trying to figure out when to use conditional reasoning. Can someone explain to me which questions types are most common in which to use these CR?

Second Question - When should I use the questions from the test bank? I feel like there is no time set to use these questions for practice. Should I do them when Im working on that exact lesson?

For example I'm currently on Validity and MBT. Should I do the question bank - MBT questions types for more practice the same day that i'm studying this section?

I feel like if I work on these I'll forget them towards the end of the CC. That's what happened last time, I wasn't able to remember anything. While Pting I forgot how to spot an arguments premises, conclusion, context, etc...

I want to keep re-enforcing every lesson so I don't forget what to do on each problem type. Can anyone suggest what I should do?

Also, I'm incorporating powerscore lessons with 7sage. For example, when I was working on the Weakening lesson, I would go through 7sages lesson and once I was done I would go through powerscore. I would do those early in the afternoon from 1pm to about 4 pm or until I finish both lessons. I would then stop and around 7pm I would work on powerscores study schedule because I begin learning LG and RC early rather then later.

Hello, I had a question concerning PT 41, Section 2 Q13. This is from LG 3. Q13 asks for a complete and accurate list of members that could be in the finance committee and in AC E (which is marked as the correct answer), the options listed are only M,U,W. When we follow the in/out procedure, we find that H is a possible member that can be added to this group (J.Y. even has so in his explanation), so my question is why is this correct then given that this question asks for a complete and accurate list? AC E seems accurate, but is it complete?
