Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was a section on the CC where we can drill question stems to identify what type of question that is?
I posted this a day ago but got no response so i thought i'd try it again.
So i want to start on January 10 and take the premium package which is 6 months. Now i go to university full time but i think with the study schedule i can manage my time and do both the LSAT and my uni courses. Do you guys think I can manage to pull this off with the premium pack?
My target score is 160-164 and I got 149 on my diagnostic test and i am kind of familiar with the test (i studied for a month and have basic knowledge of the test)
Thanks in advance people :)
Hi you all,
I listened to the latest 7sage podcast episode and the young man sharing his testimony mentioned that he got a tutor from the community. I have always been interested in this. Can anyone point in the right direction to make that happen for myself?
Best,
Aristotle
Hi everyone, first time posting - thanks for reading. I’m looking for some advice and suggestions on the upcoming exams & my study plans.
I have gone through the Manhattan Prep course and taken the LSAT twice (Dec '17/Sept '18 with same exact score). I feel that I understand the fundamentals and am familiar with question types/traps/tricks, but nevertheless keep losing points. I want to take the March 2019 LSAT (to apply in the fall), but I am not sure whether I can break into 170s. After my MP CC (around 3 months) I burned out and postponed my exam. After recovery, later on I only studied (reread CC & reviewed PTs) and took PTs regularly about 1 month to 1 1/2 months before the exams because of interruptions in my life. My sole improvement from the Dec to Sept exam was my timing (something I still need to keep working on).
After going through the discussions and listening to the podcasts, I've decided to take two PTs per week, BR (which I hadn't done correctly or consistently previously), and drill (including fool-proof LG method). I plan to study around 43 hours a week.
I am semi-consider taking the June exam, except I have a sibling graduation (out of state) the weekend of May 31st, and I fear burning out, slacking off, or losing sanity from stress studying for those months leading up.
Any help, suggestions, or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
Hi all, apologies if someone else has asked a similar Q (if so, could someone link me to it? Thanks!), would love sage advice from old and new timers here!
Starting this week I will be studying for the LSAT full-time all the way to writing either the June or July LSAT. Any thoughts on building a schedule for this time?
Relevant details:
I'm not working
I workout in the evenings (1 hr)
Ideal score: 165 (unsure if relevant)
Currently using free account (on the Introduction to Arguments lessons - 'premise and conclusion') and hope to sign up for the LSAT Starter when I get to Grammar lessons since here is where the locked lessons begin!
Advice on purchasing the right course would be appreciated too! My goal is to build a strong foundation. I have almost all of the PTs (aside from those done in the last year?)
Thanks all!

I'm taking the January LSAT and it was suggested to me I do a couple of practice tests in the morning (8:30AM when the actual LSAT starts) to get as realistic of an experience possible before the actual exam. Today I took the June 2007 exam to get a feel for it, and my score tanked from my average (162) to a 156. So I'm kind of freaking out.
LR was fine, and pretty much how I usually score. My average is -4 and in the two sections, I scored -2 and -5.
My LG was a complete disaster. My average is -5 and I got -11. Could this be because it's an old test?
My RC was also unusually low. I'm not the strongest in RC in general -- I average 7.. but this time I also got -11. I attribute it to being tired in the morning which is something I'm going to work on these next few weeks before the exam.
I'm really looking for guidance as to whether or not the LG games on this exam are unusually difficult, or if this is a sign that I need to improve in the section all around.
I’m retaking in March and have full time available to study. I took the test in November and received a 155 with a PT average of 157-160. I’ve tried self studying with the Bible’s at first but found them a little overwhelming. Then, I used a tutor who was very helpful in getting the basics down but still find myself having issues. I know what my weaknesses are: reading comp as a whole, timing in LG, necessary and sufficient assumptions in LR, LR questions that are in difficulty 3-4 (Q’s 17+ on test usually). I’ve started blind reviewing and keep a log of each question I got wrong and right and why I got it wrong versus why the right answer is right. My goal is to get a 164+ on the LSAT and get into the University of Minnesota at least (I have a 3.89 GPA).
I was wondering if I should take a 7sage course or continue studying on my own? I should mention I have every PT available and PDFs of question/game types still from my tutor.
Is it pointless to purchase the LSAT Trainer if you already have ultimate+ and access to all the drilling material 7Sage has to offer? I'm retaking this year and one aspect of my studies I want to change is focusing more on drills.
I am giving the LSAT another go but I now have a full time job; I work 7:30-4:30 Mon-Fri. Any tips on studying while working full time? I've heard weekends are where you hit it hard.
Hey 7sage,
Did y'all change the way the Analytics page works or something? I put in my answers for PT 20 LR S1 and when I hit ENTER, I can't see the answers I put of my BR answers anymore. It doesn't show them. Is it just my computer? Or it's just PT20? What's up?
Thanks!

What's the difference?
Hi all! :)
I'm new to 7Sage and wanted to get some advice from all of you. I purchased the Ultimate+ package with 6 months out to my LSAT date (July 2019). The Study Schedule generator produced a pretty intense schedule with roughly 32 hours/week of studying. When I adjusted the generator to produce a 25 hours/week schedule, it pushed out the end date to September 2019. I work full time (with some flexibility), so I'm trying to be more realistic with my schedule and study for about 20-25 hours a week.
Any advice on lessening the hour commitment per week but still getting quality content? Any advice in general for folks working full time jobs while studying? Has anyone here taken the Ultimate+ package with 6 months out until the exam.
Hi Guys,
So I've been having a hard time getting over the awkwardness of reaching out to professors I haven't spoken to in 1-2 years to ask for law school recommendation letters. The professors I plan to ask, have written recommendation letters for me in the past and have also agreed to serve as job references for me. However, it's been a year and a half since I've kept in contact with them.
Since I do not know if they are currently still teaching at my old undergrad, I'll have to reach out to them via email. Do you guys have any suggestions, tips, advice for the best way to go about requesting letters from them? I am afraid they will just flat out say no or ignore the request, which would leave me VERY stuck.
To add, if they do agree, I would like them to address specific aspects of my applicant profile such as participation in Mock trial (which they are aware is something I participated in). Should I send them some of the work I did in their class in the initial email request? I did receive As in both classes, and although I may not have been a standout student, I did well in their classes and I would be someone they'd remember. Perhaps I am overthinking all of this.
Nevertheless, any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
I was just looking up the LSAT dates for 2019, and although I knew about the March date, I was looking for an alternate just in case. I saw that there are June and July LSATs but I can't seem to find info about whether or not those are for Saturday Sabbath observers only...anybody know?
I am currently going through the CC doing about half of the problem sets (the rest I was told to save for drilling) untimed. I want to fully grasp the fundamentals but I am worried that I am answering the questions too slowly. Does time become less of an issue by the time you finish the CC?
Dear all,
I am taking the test in three weeks and have finished the first 70 PTs. It is fairly reasonable to say that I will need to retake in March. In that case, should I burn out the latest PTs, or should I save them for the future?
Thanks so much!!
Hello,
I had a quick question regarding transcripts; before transferring to the university I am currently attending, I attended a different one. Do I have to send the transcripts from both institutions or will the transcripts from my current university be fine?
Thank you in advance!
Anyone have any information about patent law? I just recently stumbled upon it and I want to gain more information on it. Anyone here pursuing patent law or know anything about it?
Hey 7Sagers,
We're posting on behalf of a 7Sager. They would like to get advice from you!
For some reason on my first PT I got 20/27 on reading comprehension. Now every single time I take a PT I'm getting between 12-16.
I usually finish without enough time to read and answer the last questions for the last passage - any tips on how I can fix this.
Additionally, I feel like if I get say 12/23 on logic games or 17/23 I get the same score. Is the test designed to be more difficult in certain sections on certain tests? I have been consistently getting 152, and I'm hoping to get a 156.
Hi all,
From what I understand, Powerscore and 180 watches are no longer permitted on test day. However, does anyone know if we are allowed to place our permitted analog watch on our desk during our exam, or must the watch be worn instead?
Wearing the watch is quite cumbersome and (for me at least) makes resetting the time to 12:00 between sections a bit awkward.
Thanks for any help, folks!
Joe Jamail was a beast. I watched this video and am now ready to become the next King of Torts and the first brick wall I plan on walking through is the LSAT.
Is prep test 75 less of a representation of the difficulty of the most recent tests? I found it easier than 78,79,80 and 81. But, that could be because I am taking them in reverse order. I took 81, 80, 79, 78, then jumped to 75 and I found 75 easier. I know test before 72 were really easy, so I'm wondering if I got a better score due to improvement or because earlier tests in the 70-75 range are easier?
I just started foolproofing the LG Games Bundle and want to give my self 2 months tops to complete it. I plan on taking the March LSAT and spending at least 1 month for my PT cycle (2-3 weeks of that month at 3 PTs/week + BR). I want to start PTing mid February at 1/PT per week, then move on to 2 PTs/week and then 3PT/week the last two weeks before the exam. I will be studying full-time for 2-3 weeks before the exam. I am in school and focusing on foolproofing the bundle (Pacifico's Method) in January and February.
Any tips on how to accomplish:
I have Ultimate +. Scored a diagnostic in the 140s early Dec 2018. Struggled with LG games. Average to meh in LR and RC. Break until Jan 1. Rebooted Studying and now working on LG Bundle.
Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
hi all,
1)so while realistically speaking, my goal is to shoot for the highest score possible, my dream score would be 172 plus. given that I am able to put in 4-6 hours of studying 6 days a week, how many months might pt-ing in the 174 +range take to ensure that I can score 172 on test day? I don't plan on applying to take the test until at least November 2019, and my diagnostic was 140.
thank you!
