Hello,
I am just beginning the core curriculum and I have a couple questions.
Is completing all of the questions problem sets and drills recommended? Somewhere I believe I saw someone recommend taking every other one. What is typically advised?
Also, I am struggling with the idea of confidence drills. What are these?
Thanks,
Hi everyone,
We have a new newsletter up about the best way to use wrong answers. You can find it here! https://7sage.substack.com/p/using-wrong-answers
Hey guys, I posted this question on reddit a few days ago but received a response that wasn’t very helpful. So I decided to post the same question here to see if anyone knows something about it.
I was subscribed to “LSAT Prep Plus” in 2020, when it first came out, and in 2021. Before, depending on how you adjust the browser to suit your reading comfort, each of the RC passages could be made to fit on the screen in its entirety, provided you had a large enough monitor—I guess slightly bigger than your average laptop screen would suffice to bring this about.
However, I haven’t “logged in” to access the Prep Plus in 2022, and today I looked at the free sample PTs on their website and saw some major changes that I find discomforting. As you can see in the screenshots I provided here, the main passages are cut in the middle and you can’t see the whole of the main text for each of the passages without scrolling up and down, which I think also happened to be the case with LSATs administered on the tablets for a brief period before COVID struck.
I am registered for the January exam, and because I spent significant time preparing in previous years, I decided not to re-subscribe to the $100 per year subscription to the questions on their website.
Does anyone know anything specific about these changes, like when it first happened, and whether there’s a way to work around it?
Oh, I just realized I can’t post pictures up here. So, if you want to see the screenshots illustrating what I’m talking about, please visit

Thanks a lot.
P.S. I was a monthly subscriber long ago, and J.Y. has the best explanations!
Hey everyone,
Does anyone know if my score will post instantly after I decide to keep it via Score Preview or do they keep the window open for the full six days (like they did with the AR Field Study compensation)? I'm wondering if I can plan on submitting my applications on Wednesday or if my score will basically be pending until that score preview window closes?
Many thanks,
Brian
disclaimer: this is about my personal study schedule not 7sage's.
Hi, I am retaking the exam in April after having taken it in January this year. I am not working so I can study full time, however every time i sit down to study I get extremely overwhelmed and have no idea where to start because I know the basics and can't get a solid routine down for my week. I got 153 for January and my main issues are with LR. My PTs range from 151-159.
First time using 7sage. I've already taken the LSAT twice - 147 and 150. I feel confident with LG - I don't think I need to re-learn how to LG by watching the videos. Also feel pretty confident with RC.
How should I incorporate 7sage with my prior knowledge of LG + RC?
Should I skip LG + RC lessons and continue practicing? My tutor wants me to do 1 RC section daily M/W + 1 LG section daily T/Th.
LR is my weakest section. I have been studying by doing half an LR section daily M-Th with one full section on F. Averaging around -11 to -15. Clearly I'm not understanding LR. Should I only do the LR lessons and then do half an LR section once I complete the LR lessons?
Thank you in advance.
I'm confused. I took a practice test in the book 10 new actual, official LSAT preptests.
I took and scored a test according to the book and got a 166. But when I put my answers in the 7sage calculator it says I got a 162. I went back and checked and it has the exact same questions marked wrong and no new questions marked wrong.
What's up?
Hi, leave a comment below if you'd like to proctor each other for a prep test this Saturday (2/11) over Zoom! I thought it'd be a good way to keep each other motivated and accountable while also getting in the rhythm of an actual test setting.
We can coordinate to find a time that works.
Anyone from the Detroit area want to get together for a study session?
Hey guys/gals,
I'm a very serious undergrad doing 8 to 12 hours of studying LSAT a day, the rest is dedicated for sleep and school.
Shooting for a 170+
Let me know if anyone is in my area and wants to be as serious, or if someone wants to study online by doing the same LSAT tests, problems, comparing our answers/logic, etc.
English major.
Does anybody have all of the flaw questions that has circular reasoning as a correct answer choice?
I took the Dec. 2013 LSAT at a certain test location and I really didnt like the test location (tiny fold up desk, one bathroom per floor with only 2 stalls, testing locations was separated into d completely different bldgs according to last names and noisy vent). I signed up for the Feb. test for a retake but thinking of changing the location though it was the closest to my home. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me details (what kind of desk, how the proctors were) for CUNY Law and LaGuardia Community college. Thanking you in advance.
I am looking for a study buddy to meet with once a week in the Boise, ID, area.
Hi,
I work full time and I am preparing for the June exam. I would like to start a PT review/general online study group for people who work full time (review will be online (google hangout) and on weekends). Most of the PTs would be done on weekends with review on weekends/during the week. Please email me @ nmillmich25@gmail.com if you are interested.
I took the LSAT in June 2022 and hit my target score (ty 7sage), I've been planning on attending law school with the post-9/11 GI bill after serving in the Army for 3 years. Long story short, the application process takes forever and I'm worried about my score expiring before my Army contract is up. Does anyone know if my June 2022 score would be good if I were to matriculate in August 2027? It's more than 5 years but less than 5 full testing years. The 5 testing years for the application cycle that'd lead into 2027 would be: 2026-2027, 2025-2026, 2024-2025, 2023-2024, 2022-2023. But I see on the LSAT website that July 2017 scores seem eligible for current applications which would indicate six testing years including the one coinciding with the application cycle: 2017-2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Am I allowed to chew gum during the exam? Is it at the discretion of the proctor?
I wouldn’t have any gum containers on the table ofc, just some in my mouth when the exam starts.
Hello!
We've got a new post on our 7Sage LSAT Newsletter, discussing the importance of isolating targets when studying. Check it out here: https://7sage.substack.com/p/isolate-your-targets
Everyone:
My LSAT journey has finally come to an end and I’ll be attending school this fall (woo hoo)! Before life gets busy again, I’d love to pass on my preparation materials.

I recently did and canceled the score for my Nov. LSAT, which I did with only 2 1/2, 3ish months of rather haphazard studying. The lowest PT score I got was 145, highest was 154, and I averaged out at 149. I was disappointed, but given my trajectory, I was not entirely surprised. I do the worst at LG, followed by LR, RC is my strongest. I've been distracted by the holidays and am restarting this week. I'm trying to figure out what I should do to move forward.
I am thinking mainly of doubling down on LG hard and making them the focus of five-day study weeks. Two-four hours a day. As well as approaching my LR problem children. Is it realistic to see my scores breaking into the 160s by Feb?
I like taking timed individual sections (as opposed to a full PT) and BRing/Reviewing them right after. As of now, the digital tester does not allow you to grade individual sections. So for now I'm going to be doing it the old fashioned way (on paper).
My question is as follows: Should I use a bubbling sheet when taking these timed sections? Is doing it without it going to inflate my score? I was thinking that ditching the scantron is closer to what the digital LSAT is like where that is not necessary.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!
So, I scored a 146 on my november LSAT with about three weeks of intense prep. Obviously the score is crap and I plan to retake the LSAT with a target score of 165. I took some time off from studying and started studying intensely about 6 weeks ago with plans to take the March LSAT. My highest PT so far is a 152 and I have about 45 more days of studying. I would ideally like to start law school in the fall. Should I cancel my March LSAT registration and plan on taking the June LSAT instead OR can I make that much of a jump from 152-165 in 6 weeks? Perhaps I could get a private tutor and nail it in 45 days. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hello, I am located in Hampton, VA and looking for someone studying for the December LSAT between Williamsburg, VA and Norfolk, VA who is scoring in the 160 to 170s range that I can discuss questions and strategy with. Thanks to J.Y.P. I have gotten pretty awesome at the LSAT over the past six months. I am going insane having conversations with myself, explaining why answers are wrong or right and the logic behind my reasoning, especially with the rare difficult questions. I take a new practice test every Friday or Saturday morning and do the blind review shortly after - let me know if anyone is interested to get together a couple days a week.

Hello,
I'm writing this post to see if anyone who is in the process of BR or has done well with BR in the past has any advice. I've worked my way through the curriculum and am familiar with BR, it is a process that I've implemented with my own studies. I've now worked through the 7Sage CC, The Trainer, and LoopHole. I'm really starting to get to the meat of drilling, fool proofing, PTing, etc. When I BR, I'm able to go through the ACs and follow the steps that J.Y. has laid out with proving four wrong ACs and one right AC. But I often struggle with the more challenging questions (ones that I struggled with the first go around). I feel as though I get in a monotonous BR mode that is reevaluating the stem, stimulus, and ACs but is not conducive to seeing what went right/wrong. So my question is: is there anything extra that you have done with you BR process that you think is tangible in your results? I do use my WAJ which is a big help, but I'm just looking for that extra edge when I'm BRing. It's nice to BR an easier question you missed and have your epiphany moment and I would like to have that as often as possible!
I'm open and appreciative for any suggestions! I know BR is different for everyone so I'm just trying to take in as much as I can.
